The best thing about this place is their aged kimchi. Someone reviewed that their kimchi is «rotten» or «spoiled» but their type of kimchi is called«mook eun ji» which is firmented extra long in special conditions for that exact taste. my grandmother used to make extra batches of it and is kimchi that most people dont get to have all the time because you can only make so much of it at a time. the kimchi: 5⁄5 the duck: 2⁄5 I’ve only had duck korean style in korea. and compared to what i am used to, when i visit my parents in korea… this was below mediocre. I got to try the duck bulgogi, smoked duck, duck shabu shabu, and smoked duck in pumpkin. i wont get into the nitty griddy aside from the fact that i thought the duck in the bulgogi was a bit tough but the taste was pretty good with loads of fresh vegetables. DUCKBULGOGI: 3⁄5 SMOKEDDUCK: 3⁄5(served wtih pickled cabbage and spicy taro with fresh oysters) DUCKSHABUSHABU: 2⁄5(MEH…) SMOKEDDUCKWITHPUMPKIN: 2⁄5 BANCHAN(SIDEDISHES): 5⁄5 Overall, this place is okay. the banchan tasted great(very homey and traditional) but for the price… i wouldn’t go again. However, the owner and the lady who served us was very nice!

This place is expensive for what they serve. For the same price you can go to AYCE and have better meat and better sides. Ordered the duck which was just ok w/the sauce and the short ribs which were bland and just utterly tasteless. Usually the sides can make up for the meal a little bit, but the sides were just as bland and blah. The only plus to this place was it was clean and had friendly service, but if you want to pay for good food, this isn’t quite the place. It’s kindda like paying for gourmet food but you get a mediocre home cooked meal,(the leftovers) :/First time here, probably last.

2nd trip. Had the Chadol, bacon, & duck combo last time. Not bad. The duck was better this time around. I think because the oil from the other meats weren’t mixed in. Ordered a Dol Sot BBB which was pretty good. Subtly flavored yet satisfying. I was taken aback by the Italian Parsley. It was some good stuff. I ate all of it. Lightly salted. Yum. The Ajumma is unusual. She lingers & hovers over you while you eat. Um, get lost. I’m trying to eat. I know she’s just trying to be helpful but at times she just stands there doing nothing but watching you eat. Weird. And the girl that works there is a bit dense. We asked her to wipe down our table due to the grease from the previous customer and she did a quarter ass job at which the Ajumma chewed her out. LMAO. I’m not a fan of duck but after these past 2 visits I can say that it’s pretty good. I prefer the swine but the duck is fine.

Un-marinated duck brisket!!! The side dishes here the usual you get at almost any Korean restaurant. At table bbq grilling. You can get pork and beef, but the gem of this place is the duck. The restaurant itself is run by the owner and I think one or two other assistants, so don’t expect fine dine service. I go in myself and the owner is very nice.

PLEASEKNOWYOURRESTAURANT!!! Came here with my friend on Friday night. Owner was busy socializing but eventually we were seated. Tonight I am their ONLY customer, even a fly refused to show up but because my friend decided to spontaneously come here I had no complaints. Now, I’m going to inform you of the quality of every dish I tried and let you know what I think of their service and finally tell you my overall experience. KIMCHI! We’ll start there. Firstly, you can tell if a restaurant is really authentic Korean or not by the way they have their Kim chi. Knowl boo firstly served me over preserved Kim chi. The kind that most Korean family’s use as leftover for kimchi chigae which is a leftover Korean pork soup. In otherwords if you are not well aquainted with preserved and fermented food, you will have a 90% chance of the runs. This is a fact. In other words, consider the Kim chi«expired». Fish cakes: unevenly cooked and shredded. Korean Salad: missing green onions. Unevenly chopped indicating sloppy chef. Spinach Kim chi: fair but not worth much review. Chicken: not properly cleaned and taste like it was literally taken off the dirty meat rack(I will let you know if I get sick) Pork: unfortunately it tasted the same as the raw meat that has been sitting in your fridge for three days or freezer for over two weeks. I believe this is because of the lack of business they have here. Beef: it’s hard to go wrong with beef… The beef is dependant on the quality that they purchase. So the quality is most likely the lowest quality supply you can possibly get in the otherwords, because we get a cheap meal, we get cheap quality food. Egg pudding: for some reason the pudding is lacking the egg yolks hence it is watered down and more white rather than a rich yellow that you will at some other k-BBQ. But i enjoyed the light taste. I believe it probably consists of one egg because of the portion size. It’s ina 2″ diameter pot. Korean style spicy tofu miso: reasonable, lighter in flavor than some other places but not the best nor most impressive. It came am hour later. Now to the service! The owner was not as attentive and when I asked her to change the pan, seeing that i was getting smoked to death from burning ashing carcass’. I literally started to cough, she told me «NO we don’t change it!» and instead said she would clean it. The next thing you know she comes out all moody with a scraper and started scraping the pan. In my mind I am thinking that I’m going to get cancer from all the ashes that is now sticking to the new meat that she poured in and I’m going to end up with lead from the damaged metal that is shaved off from the metal on metal scraping. Frankly I am extremely upset that she did that. I only do that to my dogs plate when I’m too lazy to change/clean it! Sigh, I am disappointed really. I have never had such poor customer service I didn’t want to leave a tip, but if she wasn’t hovering over me and waiting, I felt the alarm that she would chase me out and cause a scene. In otherwords, I was reasonable, courteous and will not recommend or come back here again. This place is most likely running out of business for these following reasons.

It’s THE place you can grill the fresh duck meat yourself in front of your table. Everyone knows that the collagen in ducks is so good for women; such as ‘anti-wrinkle’. They do have lots of menus w/duck meat. My boyfriend and I had BBQ tender duck + soybean soup combo which is No.5 on the menu, 2 serving size, the portion is big enough to feed two. Service is great. Meat is so fresh, no smell. Price is reasonable. Check this out and get some natural botox on your beautiful skin. yay~
