Service is slow… Food is average at best and overpriced… $ 50 to feed a family of 4 at Denny’s? I wouldn’t go back if I were eating alone, just not worth it. Cleanliness gets you one star Denny’s. It’ll take more than cleanliness to keep the doors open!

In town for business. Ate here twice. From service to food, everything is excellent. This is the best option in town for a quick, inexpensive home cooked meal.

Slowest… service…ever. The first few times that we came to the Starkville Denny’s, it was fantastic. Everyone was nice, and food was timely and delicious. The food is still good, but the wait time is insane. I understand that when things are busy, service slows a little, but there was hardly anyone in the restaurant at all. On one occasion, my brother waited 40 minutes to get his food AFTER my fiancé and I had already finished our meals. Today was so bad that we almost just left several times. After waiting at the table for 5 minutes, our drink order was taken. It took 10 minutes(yes, we actually timed him) to bring us two waters and two cold coffees. He was too busy watching the football game on one of the TV’s to be bothered with us. After another 30 minutes, he finally took our food orders. Another 20 minutes, and the food was out. The food was good, but everyone in that building was moving in slow motion. The bad part is, there were other people in there with way longer wait times. Good food, good prices, but you may die of old age before you get something to eat.

New, clean place with nice employees. It is not fast food, so depending on how busy they are, you might be there awhile. Very fresh and appetizing food. Big menu with option to build your own plate. Nice that they have a nutrition menu for those watching their intake. Clean restrooms. TVs.

the denny’s in starkville ms. is great. this location is under new management and they are really trying to get things in order. the service and food is up to par. they are making each plate fresh cook to order. also the seating capacity is much larger then any other breakfast place. the cleanliness is a lot better then the other places on the hwy. i encourage others to go back and try this location again the gm matt is great.

We stopped here at around 9:30pm on a Sunday. We were seated after a minute, got our drinks really fast and our food not long afterwords. It was good, though they could have a few more varieties of jam on the tables. She got me a box quickly and are sure we had everything we needed. The food was about average for a Denny’s, which is pretty good. We liked it.

The food is always good. The service is the worst in Starkville and that is saying a lot. Food always takes forever, it takes at least 10 minutes for a server to even notice you’re there, and the managers are nowhere to be seen. The roof above the corner table leaks water on you and apparently nobody can be bothered to fix it even after notifying them several times. Never had a good experience here and after giving it a few chances I’ve decided to avoid the place all together. I suggest you do the same.

Terrible experience. We were seated immediately and our drink order was promptly taken. That is the only plus of the visit. It took about 20 minutes to actually get our drinks out to us, and when it came time to order, the waitress tried to over charge us by writing us up for more expensive food. After correcting our orders, another 20 minutes dragged on by until my under sub-par egg substitute and soggy undercooked bacon was delivered. When it came time to pay, we left our cash tip on the table. When we went to the counter to pay our bill, the lady taking payments for the bill happened to be our waitress. Upon seeing that she didn’t have a tip written on the receipt, she asked my girlfriend if she wanted to leave her a tip, to which my girlfriend replied that we had left one on the table. At this the waitress said«Okay good, just checking.» The only reason I gave this two stars is because after calling the manager, he was very professional and prompt.

Our food took 45 minutes to come out to us but the manager came over and apologized. Then we received our meal for free. So A+ on customer service. It being a new location, the store and bathrooms were clean. The food was okay kinda made me feel sick. Too oily for my taste. That’s why it’s not 4 stars.

The food was definitely good, but I don’t know if it was worth the 45+ minutes I had to wait for it. It was probably significantly longer than that, too, considering that we waited about 25 minutes just to order drinks. Maybe that will get better in the future as this place gets some experience under its belt, but for now it’s like ordering molasses from a dead snail.

The service was good. Yet, the sum total of our experience was remarkably average. The establishment was clean as you would expect from a new restaurant but there was a considerable wait to be seated, even with the students being away during the holiday break, and the food was slow getting to the table. Notwithstanding, the food arrived warm and well prepared. This isn’t a place to come for ambiance but it’s definitely a place to get a good meal at a good price.
