Pretty standard for a Marriott /Fairfield Inn. Consistent quality in the rooms and feel. Morning breakbeat is decent and it’s close to everything. Friendly staff. Would recommend when visiting State College.

A very nice specimen of Fairfield Inn. Clean room, particularly comfy beds, excellent AC, relatively expansive continental breakfast, decent wifi, pleasant location. Definitely a good place to stay in the area.

Regardless of stars and ratings, this hotel is NICE. Booked a room on a whim for a great price. Attentive staff, nice continental breakfast(if you aren’t booking at a 5 star hotel then you have no right to complain about a piece of toast or a yogurt) and the 24-hour coffee availability was nice. Hot showers, great room temp controls, comfortable beds and quiet atmosphere around the hotel(Otto’s is close — good food). HD television with lots of great channels. It’s worth staying here instead of spending hundreds of extra dollars at a Holiday Inn or Hilton. I travel a lot, and this is an extremely nice hotel for a steal of a price.

Love the hotel and the location. It is a shame that the management makes the desk people answer the phone with a lengthy script that makes me want to scream, «Shut up so THECUSTOMER can talk!» Simply saying«Hello, front desk,» would suffice.

I have to stay in a lot of these kind of hotels for when work takes me away from a cosmopolitan area. I came last weekend for a party in the area and this was a nice option. My friend and I were only able to get a room with two double beds on Penn State’s move in weekend. They actually had the option to pick a firmer and a softer bed in the room. Nice! The guy at the front desk was extraordinarily courteous. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice too. The pool and hot tub were great. We had to kill some time and definitely utilized them. The continental breakfast was definitely average, but did the job. Quick decent bites in the lobby was very convenient. I heard the brewpub next door was a good hangout spot too.

This Fairfield Inn was fine, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but the place was clean, the breakfast was hot and filling, and they have free wi-fi(though it wasn’t always working perfectly). The rooms we had for the weekend were actually bigger than I expected, but so was the price. I get it, supply and demand, but $ 240 per night on a game weekend is simply RIDICULOUS. It’s a good hotel, close to the action, and I would stay here again… just not at $ 240 a night.

Great hotel at a reasonable price. It was clean, neat, modern(flat screen TVs!), well organized, and had a great complimentary breakfast service, including self-made waffles. Right off N. Atherton, it’s hard to get lost. I went for a run, and when I got lost on back streets I was able to reconnoiter back to Atherton and back home without much trouble. Restaurants were available without going down to W. College or other places proximal to the campus that might be crowded, but those were close by(2 miles) if we’d wanted to go. Whirlpool and exercise room were unremarkable, but happy they had a laundry room. If you’re in town for a short time, this is the best location for a clean, comfortable stay.

We frequently have to stay here when visiting family. The service is always great, the pool and whirlpool are always clean. The breakfast is good. It is usually one of the lower priced hotels in the area. Just what you would expect from a Fairfield.
