I went in without an appointment and even though they were booked full, they managed to fit me in fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the lady who cut my hair wasn’t particularly friendly and it was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Add to it the $ 17 price tag and having to pay for parking and I can safely say I won’t be going back.

I got my hair cut here for 2 years, and I plan to head back any time I’m in State College. The girls have always taken direction well, put a good fade on the sides(and will use only scissors if you ask) and wrap it up with a straight razor finish on the neck. The décor is authentic: game trophies and a caricature drawing of Mr. Fetterolf himself. This is a barber shop — not a salon. Never had a problem walking in, but they do take appointments. Credit cards are accepted. I only wish I could get my hair cut on a Sunday or Monday in this town. It’s like an unwritten barber law around here not to work on those days.

So I don’t do anything crazy with my hair but for whatever reason this is one of the place’s I miss most being away from State College. It always was hands down the best hair cut I’ve ever had. I would basically get a fade, not too short with the clippers number 2 gaurd and they would trim the top to about ¾ of an inch or so. It always came out perfect, even and stylable the way I liked. As an added bonus they shave the back of your neck old-school with the straight-edge razor which is a nice old fashioned touch. Prices were very reasonable relative to the other places in the area as well. For guys I’d say this is the place to go. They take appointments but I never had difficulty walking in.
