Meridian On College Avenue

What a mistake! Elevator did not work for months a time, they had to live without one of the bathrooms for 3 weeks while they were fixing it, the grounds were not clean and they are a rip off. My son lived there for this past year and I wish I had read the reviews before we wasted our money.

I used to live there. My apartment was completely clean upon moving out. Cleaner than when I moved in. They kept my entire security deposit until I threatened legal action. Little did they know I kept a video log and pictures of the apartment condition and what/​where I cleaned. As soon as the word lawyer entered the conversation, their tune changed. They are expensive, and they rip off college students. I would rather live in the streets than in the meridian again.

Let me be clear, I have not lived in these apartments. But I have known plenty of people who have– and because of that I’ll never rent from them. Also, I’ve had to reference checks for people who have lived there– and as such have dealt with the office staff a bit.
I own a small apartment that I rent out in State College.
If i had a dollar for everyone who contacted me interested in getting out of the Meridian, or who was unsastisfied with their experience there, I would be rich. If I had a dollar for trying to deal with their office and get references, or them accusing tenants of lying, etc… I would be rich.
I have yet to talk to a professional, level headed, kind person yet.
In short, their apartments may be fine on the inside, but the management pretty much sucks.
