The food is great! The waiter is also very nice! Eating at this restaurant makes me reminisce about my country, Vietnam. I wish they could delivery the food to my place!!! I’ll definitely go to this restaurant again

Phở 11 serves very good broth! The soup just slides down your throat and opens your appetite. Phở is okay, it could be better if it’s thicker.

Service was ok, but the food was quite terrible! I’ve had my share of Vietnamese food in my life and this is definitely in the bottom 3! The flavor just isn’t authentic at all and the portion size is tiny for its price! I would not recommend you to go if you’re into Vietnamese food!

I discovered this spot when I was a senior at Penn State– such a shame I did not sooner. The place is a lot larger than I thought it would be from the outside. I wish I could remember our waiter’s name for the few times I went there, he was an excellent server and helped explain to my friends what they should be ordering if they want to get the best phở experience. I always got the phở tai, such delicious, authentic phở, I really couldn’t ask for more. Phở 11 does it right. Furthermore, they have excellent spring rolls!

This place is outstandingly delicious. Authentic wonderfully prepared, Vietnamese Cuisine, amazing! I had the best Spring Rolls I have ever had. The House Special Beef Noodle Soup was aromatic as well as flavorful, with three types of beef in this jewel of a soup. I am very happy with both the meal and the terrific service!!!

Delicious can’t wait to go back, and great service. I accidentally ordered the house special but wanted the veggie with beef broth. The friendly waiter replaced it with no problem!

I went to this place because of my wife. She absolutely loves Pad Thai and other dishes with fish sauce. I, on the other hand, am completely repulsed by the stuff(I hate fish sauce). I also hate seafood, so if I was by myself, I’d be running from this place. Quickly. And not looking back. But here I sit, appeasing my wife, because she loves this food… Fortunately this place and some menu items I could eat and enjoy. We shared the vegetable rolls and I ate the won ton soup. Vegetable rolls: uncooked wrappers is not my thing, but it was still pleasant enough to enjoy a bit. Won ton soup: this was the real deal. Freshly made won tons(not that frozen crap at most Chinese restaurants in town), in a light broth with lots of fresh veggies on the side that you can add yourself. It even had some rice noodles in it. The whole dish was a meal and done very, very well. The only won ton soup I’ve had that could compare was a place called Bambu in Washington, DC, and Kamari in Lemont, close to town. That said, the won tons themselves are a little different in flavor than I prefer. They were still very fresh and hand made. The rest of the soup was excellent. My wife really enjoyed her meal, as she always does with this sort of food. Overall the food here is just a little too pricey, but not unreasonable. Phở 11’s building has changed hands a couple times over the years I’ve been in town, and I remember when it was just an American style restaurant. Times have certainly changed for State College, and the variety of restaurants and food available here has expanded at least ten-fold over the past couple of decades. And that’s a good thing. Phở 11 is a good example of that positive change.

One of the only Vietnamese Restaurants in State College. Very traditional, in food and in customer base and in service. Ordered the Fish Ball Soup, had an odd consistency but very filling. Their smoothies are fantastic though, especially the Taro Smoothie(purple sweet root). Would love to return soon.

I ordered(C1), the Grilled Pork Chop on Rice. It was pork chop was pan fried and lacked depth of flavor on its own, but when It was accompanied with the sweet fish/rice wine vinegar dip sauce the flavors greatly improved, though I wish was incorporated with the pork. Would I try this dish again? Maybe not. But it was decent.

One of the most underrated restaurants in town. Fantastic, savory Phở, and they give you a perfect portion size. It’s never over crowded, so it’s perfect for lunch, and great for groups!

Good phở and beef stew. Thai iced tea and jackfruit smoothie were refreshing and the décor is nice. My husband got shrimp phở. I got beef stew with noodles. I really liked both but my husband wanted to switch. I only wish he had gotten the regular chicken phở because that is what I prefer.

the price is a little bit over than what i expected. The taste of phở is really good. I also like the rice with pork rib because of the quantity and the sweet taste.

Being vietnamese, this is probabaly one of the best places to eat phở and other vietnamese food. It is not as great as some phở places in city areas in philly, new york, or california. The prices are okay, not too expensive, but some places have been cheaper. Definitely recommended if you want something close to authentic phở. The place is very clean, which is a plus. The service is a little slow and the staff does not seem to understand vietnamese which is kind of weird. Overall, not bad.

Went with my friends because they wouldn’t stop talking about it, but I quickly learned it wasn’t for me. For 9+ dollars, you get your broth and ingredients, separated in boxes, and you have to combine it yourself. For that kind of money for a college kid, I would of stayed home and made Ramen. It didn’t even taste good either! Very bland, watery taste. Tip: don’t get the celery in your broth, costs like $ 1.50 more.

I’ve eaten here at least 5 times and have left satisfied every time. Pros: — Best phở in State College. Definitely better than Lemongrass. — You’ll be full(Phở-ull?) Cons: — More expensive than phở places in Chinatown, Philadelphia. — Not as good as the phở in larger cities. Recommendation: House special phở with everything.

Decent portions, but a little pricey. The Phở was good, not enough veggies though! The pork chop plate was pretty big! I loved the Vietnamese iced coffee. It’s probably one of the best phở places you will find close to penn state.

Middle of the road decent Phở. For central Pennsylvania it’s pretty good, and the prices are very reasonable as well. On my visit I had a beef and brisket phở, and found it to have good taste, and to be very filling. Overall given the area this is a great place to get a Phở fix… Not to shabby.

Really good phở in State College. The servers are friendly & knowledgeable, the menu is large enough without being so large you can never make up your mind, prices are great & we’ll definitely be back! Shrimp spring roll was 1 of the better ones I’ve had(& I eat them whenever I can!) The shrimp was fresh(at least it didn’t taste like it was frozen, thawed then wrapped like some other places), there were 2 large pieces & the peanut dipping sauce was addictive! My vegetarian phở was delish, too! Not overly spicy but a good amount of noodles to tofu to broth… and of course, the usual toppings of basil, bean sprouts, etc. It was pretty busy all night for a Monday night — we’ll be back to try out other menu items!
