Asked if they filled CO2. He said«I can’t help you with that» and hung up on me. Not ideal.

Friendly beer distributor in which the employees can give you a ton of info on what they sell.

Pletcher’s has the best beer prices I can find in town. The domestic selection is also the best, but from what I can tell, Nittany has them beat on foreign selection. This isn’t to say that you can’t get foreign brews at Pletcher’s — it’s just that it seems like Nittany goes above and beyond to corner that end of the market in State College. Pletcher’s has the friendliest staff for distributors in State College. Always helpful. If you’re looking for a good value for a good regional beer, try the Straub or Straub light in the 16oz deposit bottles. The 7PM close time is a bummer. I’ll have to find out why it’s so early. But Pletcher’s is so convenient and cost-effective for me that I will make time to buy here over anywhere else in town(as long as I can forecast 24 beers out).

Great beer selection. So much cheaper than the downtown beer shops, which you should only visit in a pinch. Looking for something cheap but better than Natty Light? Try Genny or Genny Light. Directly from Rochester, this one comes at $ 13 for 30(yes 30) small cans. Heck, it’s at least on par with coors/miller/etc and much cheaper($ 0.40 a beer?!). Also, I can’t help but praise that they have so many Unibroue. It’s making me feel right at home. Try La Fin du Monde, it’ll knock your socks off.

Pletcher’s carries a vast range of local brews, as well as varied price options – as long as you’re interested in buying by the case. Employees have always been helpful; they’ll even carry the cases out to your car, especially if you’re buying more than you can handle(whoops!).

Pro’s: Great selection of beer. I can find pretty much anything I want here, especially the microbrew/regional brands from the area(esp. Erie Brewing Company beer which is really good). The staff also knows a lot about the beer so whenever I have any questions they can usually answer. Price is also pretty good. Con’s: They close early(I think at 7pm), but that may be because of a State College ordinance…
