After a less than thrilling «shopping» experience at Rainbow Music, I tried my luck here.
Not only is the staff super-friendly and welcoming (I’d like to mention Michele here in particular, who was incredibly helpful), but also highly knowledgeable.
While it’s a much smaller place than Rainbow, it’s well-assorted & organized, and my guess is the staff would be happy to order anything for ya if you asked.
Honestly, if I knew anything about music equipment, I’d want to work there :-)

Everyone in State College tends to go to Rainbow Music which isn’t terrible but nothing special, just a ho-hum place.
Music Mart on the other hand is an excellent store with friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They know what they’re talking about and they have a decent amount of musical needs from audio equipment, drums, guitars and pretty much anything you need.
If you want to buy stuff, go online – you’ll find a better deal but if you need services done locally on your instruments, go here.
Highly recommend.
