I order from here quite often. Takes an hour to get delivered. I’ve had longer so I guess that’s normal. Umm the last few times my celery has been dirty and some pieces were bad but overall not bad good size wings love the mild ones …

I have to give this place a 3 star rating for a few reasons. 1. The chicken is thin strips, which I like. 2. It’s cheap. 3. There are a decent amount of options. However, it’s not the best. The sauces usually don’t fully cover the meat. The fries are very«frozen tasting» and average. It’s a quick dinner if you want to spend less money than wings over, but you get what you pay for.

When I first tried this place out I was not impressed.(Maybe partial to the fact that I wasn’t in the right state of mind if you know what I mean). But honestly I would prefer this place over Wings Over anyday. First things first, they do take their sweet time filling your order and delivering it. When I order for delivery I kind of expect it to take a little longer but 45 min to an hour waiting for an order of wings is a little ridiculous. Also, the delivery people are insanely hard to understand. I’ve had plenty of professors here who don’t speak the native language and they at least are concerned about not getting the right point across. The people at Zen are very rude if you ask them to repeat themselves and I’ve even had one of their delivery people hang up on me. The only saving grace to this place is the food. The wings always come out juicy and delicious and my personal favorite in terms of sauce is the Teriyaki. Their onion rings are also crunchy and even with the long wait they are still hot and ready to be dipped in ketchup. Their portions are perfectly sized in my opinion and their prices are decent for the quality you get in each order of food. Overall, I would just stick to take-out from this little place.

First time I got them I thought maybe they had a rough day, but after the wings I just ordered I can definitely say this is the worst wings place in state college. I ordered the boneless wings combo with French fries. When it arrived wing sauce was all over the bag and soaked through the French fry bag so they where just lying in the bottom of the plastic bag. There were hardly any French fries at all! The boneless wings were bad. They were rubbery like microwaved chicken fingers and had hardly any taste. Avoid this place at all costs. I just finished with a combo order and I’m still hungry !

Ignored the reviews and decided to give them a try because of the great dinner specials. All I can say is don’t do it. The wings looked… old. They were overcooked and tasted bland and dry, as if frozen for years and then fried for a half hour. I honestly felt sick and could not finish my dinner. Just awful. The sides were all cold and unexceptional. At least the celery was fresh. STAYAWAY. HEEDTHEREVIEWS.

Despite its curious name, I decided to try Zen because I wanted to compare it to Happy Valley’s other wing Power house-Wings Over. I ordered the boneless wings hoping they would bring me to a state of «tranquility». However, that wasn’t the case. Other than the delivery taking more than an hour, the wings were tough and bland. All I can say is thank God for Blue cheese dressing.

I ordered the boneless wings with a side of waffle fries. The waffle fries were ok but soggy and not crunchy at all. the boneless wings were the most disgusting thing ever! They were very salty, dry and hard to chew. I would not recommend this place at all.

Zen Wings & Things is probably the best food delivery place in state college as long as you stay away from the«Things» and stick to getting boneless, suicidal-flavor wings. I have eaten these exact wings almost twice a week for 2 years of my life and I have only regretted it about 9 or 10 times. There is literally nothing better after waking up Sunday morning after a night of drinking. It is THE hangover cure. Not only are their wings saucy and delicious, but in my experience they have a gauranteed life cycle of 30 minutes. Sure you could go get some laxatives, but they lack the flavor and sometimes even the consistency that Zens has to offer. It cleanses my body of all the horrible things I exposed it to the night before. I will be a Zens fan until the end!!!

Despite the overwhelmingly bad reviews, Zen’s is, and will continue to be, my guilty pleasure. Get their BONELESS wings and you won’t be disappointed. Nothing cures a hangover better than a delivery from Zen’s. They have been a Sunday Lunch tradition at my house for a couple years. The delivery people are always nice and friendly. Our house is on the other side of town but they still manage to arrive like ten minutes after I hang up the phone its ridiculous. Love all their flavors and the boneless wings, although appear to be nothing more than glorified chicken strips, are fantastic. Haters gonna hate! Keep on keeping on Zen’s!

This place has the worst customer service! I just ordered Hot Buffalo wings and the delivery guy handed me a bag filled with hot sauce! I also had 2 cans of soda which were swimming in the hot sauce within the bag. I called and the manager and he tired to tell me that they don’t promise that the food will be intact when delivered which I think is BS! I am currently going to school for Hospitality Management and I can say that this restaurant is lacking in so many ways. DONOTEATHERETHEQUALITYOFFOODANDTHECUSTOMERSERVICEISHORRIBLE!!!

You are much better with chicken from just about anywhere else. I had been wanting to try this, but I should have listened to everybody else. I probably would be better off just making my own wings

Let me preface this by saying that if you want wings, you’re better off going to Wings Over. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is for its other options. In addition to the traditional bone-in and boneless wings, they also offer fried beef and shrimp. While their shrimp is good, their beef is one of the most unique things you can find at 1AM on a Saturday. I usually order the«Kick’n Cajun» beef, and rather than being drenched in sauce, the strips of beef are tossed in a spice mixture, which gives it a much better flavor. I also enjoy their $ 1 specials, as it’s a good thing to get when you’re out of money and don’t feel like cooking.

The wings were horrible, the serving was horrible. The place itself looks grimy(yes even for state college). I predict this place shuts down soon enough. Wings over happy valley takes the cake in regards to wings. If i want to sit down and enjoy wings(at a bar), go to Kildaires.

I’ve ordered from Zen Wings a couple times now. The first time, I tried their«Jerk» wings and they were pretty decent. A little too fried but otherwise not memorable. They did forget to bring me the soda that I had paid for, and after calling the restaurant, the delivery driver showed up on his next run and dropped it again. Good sign, they cared. This time I ordered the«chipotle» wings, and a side of creole rice(I found that intriguing). The rice was spicy, sticky, and had an interesting flavor. The wings were a little skinny(again). However, my wings were literally drenched in a quite liquid sauce. 1 stick of celery cut into four, and voila. Nothing impressive but ok. In terms of prices, they are solid. Free delivery with $ 6 minimum. For $ 7.50, I got 8 wings, 1 side(the rice, although other things were available) and a soda. Overall, there are better wings in town. Canyon, Wings Over and Otto’s come to mind. But, for variety sake, Zen Wings isn’t a bad thing once in a while. At least it’s cheap. Btw Joshua, most of the delivery drivers in State College work at several places at the same time. The guys at Uncle Chen also deliver for Hunan, etc. I’ve never had a problem with them.

Don’t. For the love of God, don’t do it. We decided to order delivery from here because there aren’t many places that will deliver wings where we live. When I called, the person who answered the phone had a very thick Asian accent and we barely understood each other. That’s sort of expected for Fuji & Jade, but a wing joint? Anyway, we ordered, and about 30 minutes later someone called(again with a thick accent) and told me to come down. The only problem is that I live in a house, so there was nowhere for me to «come down.» We exchanged awkward dialog and neither of us really understood each other. Through some miracle, our food got here eventually. I ordered some boneless wings with teriyaki sauce, and my girlfriend had regular wings with hot buffalo sauce. We were both really unsatisfied by the sauce(both the taste and the quantity). I really couldn’t taste the sauce in the boneless wings at all — all I could taste was the breading, which was lackluster with a frightening aftertaste. I still kind of taste it and it scares me. What I could taste of the chicken(the part that wasn’t masked by the breading) was disappointing as well. My girlfriend notes that hers«was cooked.» So that’s a plus, i guess. Still, there was almost no buffalo sauce on hers, and although she ordered«hot,» it wasn’t remotely spicy We both had to put some of our own sauce on our food to make it vaguely edible. So yeah, we’re pretty disappointed. If you do decide to order from here, I recommend you order the smallest quantity possible to give it a test run so you don’t feel bad when you have to throw it in the trash and cook yourself something.
