Park Prime(PP) is located inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It offers high quality steak for special occasion or just to have a nice meal. PP wants to be a high end steakhouse but there are several areas that needs to be improved. The ambiance of PP is nice and modern. It has plenty of tables to accommodate a large group. The spacing between tables is spread out making conversation more private. I ordered The Prime Bone In Ribeye, medium. It was more medium rare which was manageable. As I continued to eat the steak, it was more rare which was not OK. Looking at the steak, it looked like it was cooked on high heat, which left more char than I would had liked and leaving the steak unevenly cooked. I wish it had more flavor. The meat was pretty fatty and not the good fat. We ordered a variety of sides and the only one that stood out was the cream of mushroom. 2* Service — The waitress was nice but could had been more attentive. The waiter never check back to see how the steak was. You should always check back within a few minutes. I hope PP correct this. 2* Value — For the price we paid, you would had thought it be dry age steak. Steak was unevenly cooked, and had way too much char. For the price and quality, value just not there. 2 * Park Prime has a few hiccups that can be corrected and can easily be a 4 star steakhouse. The food didn’t reflect the price. The standard below par for a quality steakhouse.

After a day of skiing, we were beat and looking for a quick bite to eat. Every restaurant we tried was packed because of Valentines Day reservations. We decided to wait for a couple of seats to open up at the bar and it was totally worth the wait! We had great bartenders, great food and a nice atmosphere. The chicken two ways was divine, as was the crème brûlée that we finished our meal with. We look forward to returning on our next ski adventure!

Was in Tahoe for the weekend for a work retreat. Bf surprised me with dinner res here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. He had remembered my steak craving :) Restaurant is located in the new-ish hard rock casino and it’s gorgeous! We were given a huge circular booth table that overlooked the entire restaurant. Started with some prosecco. Our waiter informed us they were out of the prosecco but happily substituted with another bubbly. The bread basket was still warm and oh so delish! We started with splitting a caesar salad(with white anchovies). The anchovies were salty and was the perfect complement for the simple iceberg lettuce. I ordered an 8 oz filet mignon(med rare) for my entrée and my bf got the sesame crusted yellowtail tuna(rare). The entrees came out on small-ish plates and were beautifully presented. I particularly appreciated the simplicity of the dishes. They were very meat driven and the plate was not cluttered with unnecessary and highly caloric sides that usually accompany steaks(cough cough mashed potatoes, buttery green beans). My steak was cooked to perfection. I was so full but I managed to finish every last bite. I really liked how the restaurant had a classy almost Vegas-like modern vibe but everyone was very casually dressed(as you would expect in a ski town). We didn’t feel under or over dressed.

Worst experience. Decided to come to the steakhouse on a whim because we love all the nice steakhouses in Los Angeles and thought we would have a great experience in Tahoe. Boy was I wrong. Everything was a mess. Our server was great actually. None of it was really his fault. Our medium filet came out raw, crab legs weren’t cracked and the crackers they gave us didn’t work so we asked if they were start the cracking process and it came out dumped in a bowl. Most high end steak houses use scissors to start the process and we asked for them but they didn’t have any. Looked nasty but that’s besides the point. The worst part about our experience was the manager Collin. He knew we weren’t having a great experience because we went up to him while eating and he never came to apologize or ask how everything else was tasting. We ended up paying for the entire bill and walked out unsatisfied. We wanted to talk to the manager Collin on our way out but once we saw we were leaving he quickly left the front of the restaurant and went and hid. I will never come here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. What a joke.

The Hard Rock is a nice breath of fresh air for Tahoe. Not much to do there and limited rock memorabilia. But we were there to eat. We had zero expectations about this restaurant because with higher priced dining you get great service and good food. This is exactly what we experienced. Our server was excellent. I had the heirloom and mozzarella salad. Great. My husband had the wedge and loved it. Not your typical wedge. Ranch and healthy bacon with fresh chives. My husband had the flank steak with the chimichuri sauce. He loved it! Cooked to perfection. I had the Chilean sea bass. Shiitake Mushrooms and broccoli Rabin. Yum. We kindly pass on dessert. Fuller than full. We’ll be back.

Came here for a holiday vacation and because of the snow we ended up eating here(its in the hard rock hotel and casino). The service and specialty the manager was very friendly and she went out of her way to find us a spot after the host told us they all booked for the night. So the food :) i am expecting more from a restaurant that look like steak house and serves steaks. I am a vegetarian but kids and friends order steaks and ALL was dry and not on the grilling level we asked. Deserts was also mediocre and the prices are high for what they serve. My high score they get only for the manager and a good night with friends.

Had a good experience at Park Prime. Came in a tad late but the food was perfect. Wine was on point. Veggies not over cooked, tasty! Will be coming back for this treat again. Make sure to get the crab cakes

This place is great for meat lovers… I’m vegetarian. And really enjoyed this place. You do have options due to great menu options. We didn’t make any reservations on their busiest day(Thanksgiving). The place was full and it’s hard to find a space for 8 ppl. The manager was really nice and helpful to find a spot for us. I wasn’t ready to look for a place outside the hotel on a cooooooold and snoooooooowy night brrr. Thank you for a great service and delicious food.

One of the best steakhouses in Lake Tahoe. We really like the upbeat interior. The 20oz Prime Rib Eye was perfect. One of the best charred and seasoned Rib Eyes I have had. I also got the Double baked potato which was good but a little dry(hence the 4 stars). Oyster Rockefeller and Calamari appetizer were also excellent. Beware, the calamari appetizer is huge it could probably feed 4 people. Great experience. We will be back.

Decided to try a high end joint in the Hardrock casino and our meal was pretty good. I ordered the Surf and turf and my brother ordered the prime new york strip. Everything tasted very delicious but honestly over priced. The resturant is fancy, the service was excellent and like I said the food was very good.

Located inside the Hard Rock Hotel, Park Prime is a upscale, modern restaurant with a down to earth staff! We first checked in to see what the dress attire was knowing that it was a high end steakhouse. The hostess was friendly and helpful, she told us that there isn’t a dress code, nice! We asked for a private booth and she was able to accommodate us in a matter of minutes. We chose a filet Mignon and a Yellowtail Tuna entrée. My Tuna entrée was delicious. It was coated in a sesame crust with a side of baby bok choy and citrus soy dressing to dip it in. Although the filet was ordered medium well and they had butterflied it, it came well done. My hubs gave me a bite and I told him to let our server know that it was dry and overcooked. When we told our server, she said it would be about a fifteen minute wait. We had no choice, the steak wasn’t enjoyable so we sent it back. Meanwhile, I dined by myself and hubs ate most of the twice baked potato and bread. It wasn’t until I was pretty much done with my dish before his came out. It was noticeably juicier, unlike the first one. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner even with the little hiccups.
