Great food in a warm, inviting atmosphere, along with some live music being played in the back. I’ve been to Alor several times and have tried various different things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The chef always updates his menu and the food always turns out delicious. Will definitely be back. Please and thank you.

Went to Alor Café last night for a friends birthday and had a wonderful time. I made the mistake of not reserving a table, but even though they were booked solid they made sure to accommodate my group. Cassandra, the manager, was amazing! She was quick to figure out t he situation and make us feel welcome. The owner even came over to make sure we were having a nice night. As for the food — YUM! We ordered the pierogis and mushroom & spinach dip for appetizers, both being amazing. For dinner, I ordered the shrimp & snapper over linguine which was delicious. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the sauce was mouth-watering good. My mother ordered the salmon over quinoa, which was wonderful. And the birthday girl had their beef pappardelle which she was in love with. Oh, and the bread balls they serve in olive oil was amazing! Now for the drinks — make sure you try their crème brûlée martini — AMAZING! I have never had such a delicious, addictive martini before. We also tried the champagne lemonade, which was good if you like lemon and champagne. My mother ordered a mocha latte which was beautifully presented and very tasty. We decided last night to make Alor Café our regular spot when getting together for dinner. Just a wonderful restaurant with lovely staff and delicious food.

Walked in here for lunch with my husband after reading all the good reviews and we were not at all disappointed. We both were surprised to see that you can pick any 2 items from the lunch menu for $ 13.95! Thats such a good deal. We both ordered chicken avocado club sandwiches and a crêpe. The sandwich has the most crispy bacon and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. Not dry at all. I got the oreo caramel crêpe and hubby got a nutella crêpe. Both were delicious. My hot chocolate was also amazing! Will definitely return.

Great night with family, The special of the night; Pasta duJour . A nice pasta with Clams, sun dried tomatoes, smokie bacon. Hit the spot. A nice glass of vino and my night is set before the snow storm. Don’t forget to tip the Bartender. Compliments to the chef

One of the few decent weekend brunch places on Staten Island. The savory crepes are actually really good. I would particularly recommend the chicken one. Breakfast burrito(avocado and scrambled eggs) is very tolerable though a touch on the greasy side. Good service, with the staff willing to accommodate minor changes without a hassle. They also have a kids menu but you have to ask for it. The décor is nothing to write home about, but there is plenty of space and light.

Inviting décor, tasty food and a friendly staff. Pricing was very good too. We had a very nice Xmas brunch here. I would definitely visit again.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the wait staff that was so apologetic after several mistakes, which included burnt food and waiting two hrs for food they wouldn’t even get one star.

What a hidden gem in Staten Island! Really great brunch options. Everything came out tasty, cooked to perfection, and with beautiful presentation. Chorizo potato egg bake was delish! Friendly staff too. They even put a star on my cappuccino! For that, they get 4 stars :)

I came here today with my hubs & I got the sweet potato soup & my hub got the potoroos with cheese & aioli. It was a tiny bit of cheese & barley any aioli so we ordered a side for more. My hub got the pasta with brisket which he took a few bites & it was so bad he never ate it. Barley any sauce & it was flavorless. My beet salad was alright. The service was terrible. I didn’t feel like I was eating at a restaurant. I’m very disappointed & I don’t plan to come back. Beware.

Went here tonight with my two daughters, it was pretty empty on a Friday night considering they had a jazz band playing live. This is the first time coming here. The menu looked pretty good overall,. The bus boys bring us what they call a focaccia bread, which looked and tasted like a hockey puck. Dense and stale with no seasoning at all. In my opinion, they should not serve this at all to the customers. my daughters ordered the Nutella crepes which I believe were probably the best dish we had. We also ordered the smoked chicken flatbread. It was ok, said it was served with a spicy mayo, it came with BBQ sauce. I ordered the burrata which they came back and told me was sold out already. then I ordered the ravioli of the week, which was pork belly. It arrived after a long wait and after my daughters finished eating their meals, it was not good. Tasted nothing like pork belly, sent it back, the waitress comes and tells me it’s minced pork belly mixed with cheese. Tasted like minced fat or lard. She said she would comp my coffee for the inconvenience which at the end of the night handed me a bill with the coffee still on. The busboys were great, the waitress not so good, should be more attentive and make sure everyone’s food comes out at the same time. This place was empty and they couldn’t even bring everyone’s food out together. i I then ordered the country chicken crêpe, the crêpe itself was ok, stuffed with peppers inside which I cannot eat, it did not say that on the menu description. The manager must have been off tonight. Don’t think I’m going back

I’ve been going here since college and I’m a fan! It’s a chill café to just get coffee if you want, or brunch, or dinner with your friends. I met my fiancé at the bar in Alor and they served us some of the most amazing drinks. The bartender girl was friendly and nice! The other night when I was there for dinner with my girlfriends, I didn’t particularly like the pumpkin soup that I had ordered(I don’t know why I got that flavor I knew I wasnt going to like it) the guy noticed that I wasnt really eating it so he asked if he could return it and offered to take it off our tab! Great service! The crepes are all delicious.

My friend lives close by and we dropped in just for drinks and snacks but were very impressed. Outside a little too bright pink for my taste, but inside sophisticated and cool, with interesting custom lighting and piano motif bar. Food was excellent and original, new chef /owner shines. Menu is sort of all over the Mediterranean with Italian, Middle Eastern and New American dishes. Fish tacos are large and delicious, lamb shwarma was very very nice and the goat cheese dumplings fantastic, served under a smoke filled glass dome. Drinks are good and fairly priced, I can’t wait to come back on a night with live jazz.

Great lunch special, pick any 2 plates for about $ 12. They have a selection of savory and sweet crepes that are really tasty. I also enjoyed the vegetarian pad thai. We also had some very good coffee after lunch.

Came here on Tuesday afternoon for lunch. They run a lunch special of buy 1 get 1 free. We order guacamole, royal crêpe and pulled chicken sandwich. The server told us that we can order 1 more dish for free and it can be anything dessert, appetizers or main dish. We decided to get another pulled chicken sandwich to go. I would say food was ok. Nothing special. But Very simple food. Which I really liked. No fancy sauces. Clean food. Our server was really nice. At the end we talked for 20 mins about working out, nutrition, yoga, meditation etc. Very interesting conversation. I would definitely go here again.

Stopped by Alor Café for brunch with my boyfriend & grandmother. I ordered their eggs benedict with a side of breakfast potatoes, which were very good! My boyfriend said he enjoyed their flatbread with grilled chicken. I would definitely recommend Alor for brunch!

Went here for lunch, and my experience was great. I had a Southwestern sandwich, which consisted of grilled Cajun chicken topped with guacamole and tomato with smoky corn remoulade on a toasted hero. It was also served with a side of salad. I also had a Nutella crêpe with strawberries. They had run out of strawberries and were expecting a delivery the same day. The gentleman who took care of me was nice enough to have one of the workers go grab some from a local store. I also had a cappuccino, which was topped with a cute heart made out of cinnamon powder. The service was great! The food was tasty, portions were just right, and the lunch special was very reasonable(around $ 12 for any two items on the lunch menu). The only con was that I’d rate the place a 3⁄5 for cleanliness. My pair of utensils weren’t so clean, and before I sat down on the chair there was a strand of hair on it. I have yet to try brunch here! I’ll be going back for that in the near future!

Came here for lunch and I personally had a fantastic experience. I had the seafood crêpe which had shrimp, calamari and snail… Yes, snail in a seafood crêpe. Surprisingly the combo is outstanding and the snails were huge. If youre feeling adventurous I highly recommend giving it a try. So they have their cucumber and lemon water which is so refreshing. I must have drank about 4 glasses. I also had the lava cake for desert which was very good but I do wish they served it with regular vanilla ice cream and not gelato.
