38 years ago, my son and I went to a barber shop with a great barber in that same row of stores. We both missed him when he closed.
We both landed up working nearby each other in Manhattan and going to a guy on 44th St, near 9th Ave. Unfortunately for us, he retired too.
Nice to have a GREAT neighborhood shop again. Good conversation and haircuts.
Don’t know if my son will come back with me (he lives in Brooklyn). But I think he would enjoy the haircuts and conversation (and artwork in the back!).

I stopped by Anthony’s late on a Friday afternoon and waited for about 10 minutes as Anthony was finishing up with another customer. It was my first time there so I let him know how I wanted my hair cut and he did an excellent job, was courteous, and not overly talkative — and I mean that in a positive way. I’ve been to my fair share of barbers on Staten Island and sometimes ones can really chew your ear off.
Anyway, I feel that Anthony did an expert job and I will absolutely be making this place my regular shop. Thanks Anthony!

Been going here for a few months now. Shop has awesome vintage signs and the staff is great. Usually a short wait and prices are very reasonable. I always walk out with a great haircut.

Today was the first time I went to Anthony’s for a haircut. Really cool barber shop! Anthony cut my hair. Very personable and professional. Super reasonable prices. Best haircut I have gotten in a long time!!! I definitely recommend this place. Go see Anthony; you will not be disappointed!!!

Quality work at very reasonable prices. I’m so excited about having this shop close by. Very cool staff and great atmosphere. No place like it on the island, not your typical barber shop. Go experience it and stop reading.

Best barber shop on SI a must go to joint. The place is great the atmosphere fantastic and Anthony is a much accomplished barber. He’s been cutting hair since he was a kid and has his master barbers license.
