My husband called a few days ago to schedule someone to come down and give us an estimate for what we needed. He was told 3 pm someone would come. At 4:00 pm no one had shown up we called to find out it was a window between 3 – 5, fine. At 5:45 no one still had called us or shown up. Not only is this completely unprofessional but rude. We have a 20 month old and we’re waiting to feed him so we wouldn’t have to disrupt our dinner. Shame on you for not even being willing to communicate you were not going to make it. I will definitely spread the word to our family and friends not to use you.

R. McGlynn Plumbing Co is a Licensed plumbing company. I researched this firm on line; building dept, Better Business Breau, Jewish Yellow pages ect. The company is an authorized Rheem repair company. I found two reviews that were negative and one that stated the same problem I had today. First off McGlynn Plumbing offers Free Estimates. When asked about the free estimate. The man on the phone who identified himself as the owner, stated that the free estimate entailed him walking into my home and view/look without touching the unit. When he touched the unit the cost is 135.00 to diagnose the problem and see what the error code was on the Tankless Water Heater. The tech arrived about ½ hour late and stated he was a Specialist and highly trained thankless water heater tech. He went in to the basement and opened up the unit. Then came up stairs about 20 mins later(I was paying by the hour) to ask do I have the Booklet(Manual) that came with the unit because he needed it to find out what was wrong with the unit. I then stated why don’t u call Rheem. The tech replied they take too long to answer the phone. I’ve never experienced this problem with Rheem and I’ve called them many times. He then asked me for a list of the error codes and if I can look them upon the computer. He also asked for the phone number to Rheem(He has a cell phone and Bluetooth ear bud.) What professional doesn’t have the manufacture’s phone numbers in there phone. They should be calling all the time. After all you are an expert and a specialist in Tankless water heaters. Clue 2 that this was going bad; now 20 mins in my home, he finds out how to check the error codes on the unit. I promptly called his office to complain. What kind of Tech did u send me I asked? The owner was to call me back. The tech then comes up stairs to tell me that he wants 270.00 to take the burner out clean and put it back… also to check the unit afterward. I’ve had the job done before it’s an hour. Of course I would have the 135.00 service diagnostic charge taken off. The Tech said, «I’m sorry I’m running late I have other service calls and I’ll have to come back tomorrow to do the repair. The tech explained that he will have the unit repaired according to the directions in the manual. I asked, you have to go back to your office to get the manual? He replied no, I have a copy of the Manual on my phone. I then asked, then why did you ask me for it. The tech’s reply was because it’s to small and he couldn’t see it. At this point I asked the guy to leave. I am so disappointed in this company and for the unprofessionalism and wasting my time with excuses and bogus answers. Update. When I went downstairs I found 2 of the 4 screws on the front missing God I hope there are not more missing. As I have severe carpal Tunnel and can not check.
