Avocado Sushi

This is probably one of the best sushi spots one the Island. All the chefs there are in all sense of the word artists. Great food and the presentation is flawless.

First time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised. Ordered take out. Got a couple rolls, goyza, Kani salad and they were real good. Main course was chicken pad Thai, shrimp and salmon teriyaki. While I’m a pad Thai guy and I have yet to find a decent pad Thai on Staten Island. This one wasn’t so bad, wasn’t great, but wasn’t bad like other places on the island. Rest of the family was pleased with their selections. I would go back.

Wow!!! I just got done eating at Avocado Sushi and it was great! This was my first time here and I was not disappointed. The food was fresh and very well priced. The chef gave me a complimentary avocado ball appetizer and it was delicious. I went with the signature lunch special giving me soup, salad with a basic roll and a special roll! Fantastic! I always try spicy tuna roll wherever I go and it was very good, I ordered the hot girl roll and it was presented very well, fresh and very tasty! BTW, hot tea and water were not extra. This seems small but most places charge so this was a nice surprise. I almost don’t want to let the secret out about how good the food and staff was here, but I want to see this place stay here for a long time! As someone who eats sushi 2 days a week this is a great place and you will love it! I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing food!!! The atmosphere is city like and the staff is friendly. I order 3 times a week and delivery is fast and accurate.

Place is pretty good. Wasn’t a fan of the hibachi entrees and did not have my sauces:(fried rice was pretty good

Dear avocado sushi I love you! As a new move to tottenville from oakwood you are in a totally different world so finding your go to spots would be daunting if you’re a creature of habit like me! Stumbled upon avocado sushi while moving into my apartment last summer and found this gem via my grub hub app due to the location and quickness of delivery due to my immense hunger! food came quick (it is around the corner from me so I contribute quick service to that) and fresh!!! ever since then I’ve been hooked! peanut avocado, kani salad and hibachi chicken and veggies are my go to meal and reasonable priced as well. I haven’t eaten at their location but I definitely will and will be a patron to them!

I have been to this sushi is the most comfortable shop. The fish is very fresh. The master is very good. Send a dessert for me to eat. It is worth to try.

The service, price and sushi were all amazing. We went for my brother in laws 50^th birthday and they treated us to free desert and cake. Absolutely love this place!!!

Sushi dishes are good but inconsistent, Chef or Owner not confident in his own abilities/​tastes and changing dishes too much to match various customer needs. Certainly taking customer feedback is good, but you must be the leader of your food, you can’t satisfy everyone, but if you use organic and higher quality ingredients, and stay consistent and quality-​obsessed, you will make more happy customers than unhappy ones.
The renovations were done with very cheap materials, paint not evenly painted on ceilings and walls, sloppy and overall a very poorly renovated place, although new. Now very good attention to detail or quality, perhaps this is just a rush to open quickly to make money money money!

I received a flyer in the mail for a family bargain. when I called and ordered the person who answer the phone did not tell me that the Family bargain is a dinner special. I ordered and the food came very fast. When I looked at the portions it was not enough food for two people and the plate was the same portion as the lunch size. I looked at the menu and was surprised to see that the lunch menu for the same meal was $ 7 and had more food. If would have ordered two of the lunch it would have been $ 14. The family bargain was $ 20. That price would probably been a savings if it was dinner and full price but I ordered at 12pm.
I am giving this place one star because of the nasty and unprofessional response I got when I called.
I explained what happened and told the woman that I made a mistake and she said «that’s your problem not mine». I said I would never eat there again that she was rude and she said I don’t care go somewhere else.
Edit. I am updating my review to three stars because believe it or not I received a phone call from the owner Marco and he was very apologetic and offered to correct the problem. I don’t know if I can say I will definitely never eat there again because it was one bad experience. The food is very good and Marco seemed to be a gentleman.

Place has great sushi i would have to say eat in don’t have them deliver sushi is never as good as it could be when delivered.

Nope that’s not even close to what sushi should taste and be. Sorry. It’s the Berger king of sushi I guess

The hibachi is great! The only downfall is the language barrier when you’re ordering. A lot of mistakes

I decided to try this new sushi place because it’s close to my house and the only sushi restaurant in the area. The food was really great, you could tell that the fish was fresh. Our waitress was great, she didn’t make any mistakes and she continuously refilled our water during our meal. I ordered a seaweed salad, a shrimp and avocado roll, and I tried the Yankee roll. I would recommend this place and I will definitely be back. The restaurant is a little on the small side but I had been to the previous restaurant so I already knew that, they redecorated it nicely though and maximized space.

Tottenville needed an affordable sushi bar and this is it. What makes it even more affordable is their recent 20% off coupon with every order. They have a good amount to choose for lunch specials and specialty rolls.

When I first come here, I felt here is different sushi place than other, a clean environment, nice service and delicious sushi that I will be back! Thx for all here.

Best sushi in the area. Quality sushi and excellent service. Must try the warm saki. Attention to detail is present as you walk through the door. A gem of a place.

Visited staten island with couple of my fds yesterday, stopped in Avocado Sushi for a quick lunch. I had salmon bento. My friend had sushi lunch and a three roll special. All came out wonderful. The food quality was excellent. Service was quick. Loved the staff there. Would definitely come back and recommend to friend. Also great value on the lunch special:)

My friend and me was here last night. I order the sushi and my friend has kitchen food .The fish was really fresh and the waitress was nice too. The fitment is cute all green color. We get the 20% off cuz they just open. It’s a good place for eat, very sweet. Excellent Japenese restaurant!!!
