Burrito Bar

I’ve been here a few times during the summer an it is a Nice spot for drinks and to chill with some friends.
Few times I came it was always jumping with people I had to pay a small cover charge of $ 5 «yeah to walk into burrito bar lmao I guess the cover charge was to pay for the live DJ they had. DJ was okay had the area nice an happy an enjoyable.
It’s decent bar, I enjoy their pitcher of sangria very good, not a huge fan of there frozen margaritas definitely not the best I’ve had. I’ll stick with a beer or like I said sangria.
With warm weather they have out door area as well which is a awesome spot to just chat, drink, snack an enjoy the beautiful fresh air.
Food isn’t that great, like a must have, or like omg I have to go back for a burrito.
Not at all this type of spot.
I’m a Mexican food lover so trust me when I say it’s not great but it’s not the worst.
I’ll say a cool hangout spot to drink

Stopped in for a quick drink, sat at the bar and the service was great.
Loved my cocktail, and they had a great selection on beers.
The envirment is fun and lively, I will be back to try their food.

This place used to be amazing. The food fresh and tasteful. On recent months I have experienced a drop in good quality. I ordered the beef taco salad and it lacked salt and it tastes like I was eating straw.
Very disappointed especially for a dish that costs $ 20.

Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else. I would recommend you go to Chili’s before you spent one dollar here. Went there on a Saturday night and will probably never go back. First bad taste $ 5 cover charge to walk into an empty bar and DJ playing whatever music. I paid it but at this point in life (I’m 33) I think it’s ridiculous to pay a cover charge unless you are in Manhattan or even if they have a band you like. Was barely greeted by the bartenders, I had a front and center spot at the bar and after about 3 minutes they finally asked if I needed a drink. I asked for a Tito’s and of course they JUST ran out. I was with two other friends. I ordered at least 6 drinks and my other friend ordered 8 beers (yes he kept track) and not one buy back! We weren’t going back and forth to the bar either. We were saddled up and certainly should have gotten a buy back. I know in the city this may not be the standard but any bar on SI you should get one if you order that many and of course tip appropriately. My friend actually called the bartender out on it and she blamed the fact that there were two bartenders on so they can’t keep track of how many drinks you buy. Mind you there was about 20 people in here. Both bartenders were pretty nasty and proceeded to talk about my friend and pay even less attention to us. There food is less than stellar and if you are in the mood for good Mexican eats — go down the block to Ho Brah. Expensive for drinks but the quality of food blows this place out of the water. I walked out of there feeling like the place is a dump!

Unlike every Manhattan bar and most brooklyn bars, this place is actually intimate enough to have a conversation on a Saturday night. It’s lively and no one will ever regret getting the sample platter, it’s well made and is big enough to feed 2 – 3 even though it’s an ‘appetizer.’

I’ve been coming here for 15 years, love the food. Came in today at 3:45 for lunch, there was no waitress so I was told to sit at the bat which had always been a horrendously uncomfortable area. The trashy looking bar tender didn’t acknowledge me, she kept flirting with the trashy looking dirt bag chewing with his mouth open, I immediately last my appetite. Where is the management, pathetic. Took my business to ho brah.

This is my go to spot when in need of drink after a long day after work or just a chill spot. I usually come on a weekday and the female bartender with the sleeve tattoo is awesome. She’s super nice and attentive. Food here is a bit spicy, but that comes with the name. I usually stick with the wings and fries with a nice cold alcoholic beverage/​beer equals awesomeness.

Came here with my boyfriend for a Halloween party. I didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on the food but the drinks are pretty fairly priced and mixed pretty well. They even had a couple of Halloween themed drinks but I just stuck with a cranberry vodka. The staff here is pretty nice and really chill. My complaint would be that they charged my boyfriend $ 20 to get inside. Like really?! This isn’t Manhattan, there’s not tons of people trying to get in or anything. But, it was worth it I guess because the crowd there was really chill and made the night fun.

Never had anything but a great experience here!

Quesadillas, burritos, salads are always very yummy. No complaints ever

Every time before tonight has been great. We were a party of 6 and were told we can not have separate checks because it is the «weekend». We were told this is because it backs things up. As I said, we have been here before, weekends included, and have always been able to get separate checks. Why do you ask is this a big deal? My husband and I do not drink while the rest our party tends to and it is easier for us to keep track of our share with a separate check.
Also, the quality of the food has decreased. And the waitress had an attitude in the beginning and only cheered up as the restaurant was closing. If you don’t want to be there, work somewhere else. And the gratuity was added to our check for this lousy service.

They never disappoint me. They always get the order right and I can never resist their salsa it’s so Good! End on Friday nights they have live music by a good musician

Came here most recently with visiting friends. Restaurant is not your typical eatery at all. It’s sort of originally squatted in an old colonial house and picked up a loyal following of locals and college kids over the years. Place has been here forever it seems. They recently did a major cosmetic renovation so now they have outdoor seating and outdoor music as well.
Prices are very reasonable and the drinks are generally good. Just beware of the margaritas, they tend to be a little too sweet here. Never had an issue with service.

The food here is usually pretty good. The drinks… better. But Sunday seems to be either training day or the day when they bring in the «B» team to serve food and make drinks. Wait staff should at least, at a minimum know the what the food is called, second who ordered it. Your better off staying home and making your own tacos.

Margaritas and Tacos anytime.

Place is ok, good place to have a few drinks but food is not all that good. I have tried a various amount of things and was never really impressed with what I got. The nachos was probably one of my favorite things on the menu, anything else I’ll pass.

Food was not that great, but their drinks are pretty good! I like the ambiance and vibe of the place, it’s very lively, but it doesn’t match the same level as the food, unfortunately.

Went there yesterday with my friend for dinner. Firstly, on the website it says that Thursday’s are ladies night and drinks are 2 $. It wound up being full price drinks. I wouldn’t have minded but the drinks sucked. My friend ordered a bulldog and it was so strong it was disgusting and nothing to drink with dinner. I also ordered a sangrita which was sangria and a margarita mixed. That too was strong I didn’t even drink it. The guac was like sour and bitter I think it was old. The food also took like an hour to come just to make 2 damn quesadillas. The waitress was beyond nice though. She changed my friends drink for another but that too was strong. Probably wouldn’t go back for dinner again. Maybe the bar.

Oh, Burrito Bar, our decade long relationship just keeps evolving.
Now, would I go to Burrito Bar for drinks on a Friday or Saturday night? Mmm. depends, but probably not, that time for me has passed (if you attend Wagner College (or high school for that matter) your time is now.)
However, on a Sunday would I come here for brunch? Yes. $ 13.95 generally gets you a choice of french toast, omelet, salad or burger and $ 1 Miller Lite, Sangria, Margaritas or mimosas. French toast can be served with steak, which is always well cooked. Nice to hang out for hours and chill. Probably one of your best bets for brunch on the island.
Monday-​Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. they have an economy crunch special. This means one appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert and coffee for $ 25. It’s a pretty sweet deal. I most recently had the warm fajita salad, it was huge and completely satisfying without dressing.
The patio is really nice, and they don’t bug you about moving either. Honestly, doesn’t everything taste better outside?

Great for happy hour, lunch or dinner. It’s got a very groovy atmosphere! Hanging beads, big flowers, hippie heaven. It definitely gets a little busy, but my sister had her sons 1^st birthday party there and it was great!
Favorite– fish taco appetizer. I could just have these all night long. Fish is battered, crunchy cabbage and crumbed cheese. Just what a fish taco should be
