Just left this place. Food was ok. It was all old men and women looking to get laid. It took 15 minutes for us to get our car from the valet(when my friends who gave their ticket after us got their car 10 minutes before us). When we asked the valet where our car was, he responded rudely, «You have to wait.» Then when we stood longer and waited he called the other valet and told him we were being impatient. Had to do a million maneuvers to get out of the parking lot. When we finally did, we realized the car was in some driving setting I’ve never heard of and the hood was popped.

Came here on a Friday night for a birthday dinner, it was the night before a major snowstorm, and actually started Friday night, so it was pretty much empty when we arrived at 9pm. There was several tables eating, bar was pretty much empty, just us waiting for other guest to arrive. They do offer free valet, which was great, the parking lot is very small, and shared with other businesses. The place isn’t so easy to get too, at least not for me coming from Brooklyn. It’s basically at the very tip of Staten Island. Once all the guest arrived(16) we were seated right away. We ordered some appetizer platters, which came with wings, tacos, chimis, and we ordered guacamole separate, all was very good! For entrée since I was drinking & didn’t have much of a appetite I ordered the mini chimis(all chicken) and they were delicious, actually tasted just like burrito bar in Brooklyn! Lol Service was good, waiter was very attentive when it came to drinks, food took a little longer than expected to come out, but the drinks kept flowing, and the music was getting better. A fb came around 11, tables were moved, and people were dancing, it wasn’t packed like I mentioned, but we had enough people in our group to have a wonderful time, which we did. Can’t wait to return back with my appetite, the menu items sound really good.

Have eaten here many times. The food is always on point as well as the drinks. Service is ok at best. I have always been seated right away but once you are at a table I have experienced a long wait until a server comes and takes a drink order. The smell of cigars kinda bothers me as I am anti-smoking of any sorts type of person. But I don’t really notice it once you pass the entrance/hostess area. A little pricey for entrees but this is the best place on the island for Mexican so to me it’s worth it. I usually get the chicken tacos or the chicken fajitas. Both are delicious. I’d also have to recommend the peach sangria. Delish. The parking situation is very, very annoying. If you go on a Saturday night, don’t be lazy and park in the street.

Great selection of drinks. Good amount of food portions. Decent menu. The Heineken tap was not working but the service was great and friendly.

Music is loud and kinda cheesy, but the remixes are interesting and dance-able. I dig their drink menu, try to jalapeño margarita, a nice combo of exotic and potent.

Quality of food not up to par. I rink they need to put more flavor in their empanadas and remove the queso on top. Drink are on point.

I went here for dinner this past Sunday with my daughters, we actually got lucky with parking, small parking area with valet, service was fast, place was not very busy, but great atmosphere, love the décor and the music, lighting could be a little better, could barely read my menus. Waiters and bus boys are great. We ordered the guarcomole and chips appetizer., just delicious, my daughter and I split the shrimp burrito platter served with rice and beans. So tasty, and the salsa and chips they put on the table when you first sit down are so good too. My other daughter got the chorizo quesadillas, so delicious. We all had a great time, everything was so good. Will definitely be back

Tuesday night karaōke with Dawn Michaels is amazing! She sings like an angel. Highly recommend the guacamole & chips, best around. John the bartender is delightful, always with a big smile. Crowd is friendly & energetic. Perfect way to spend an otherwise dull Tuesday.

Won’t go anymore because the smell of cigars through the vents from the smoke shop next door is disgusting. Cabo R.I.P

I came here with my co-worker for some dinner. The place just open so the restaurant was empty. My friend and I drink sangrias and they were really good. She order a taco salad and it was big so she had to take it home. I order a combo meal 1 veggie taco, 1 veggie enchilada with rice and refried beans. It was good and the plate was big. The overall experience was great. It would like to go back on a Saturday night since I heard it turns into a nightclub.

Went here for my bestfriends birthday and had a good night here. The birthday celebration here is actually pretty fun. You have a sparkler candle and get a sanbroro sorry spelt that wrong. But the taco salad was great, i loved it and the guacamole and chips. Ill come back again

I went here recently for the first time not really knowing what to expect. We were greeted immediately & sat, which was good. I found the server very attentive, but I did go early & it was nearly empty at that time. I did not experience the crappy service other posters complained about that early. We ordered margaritas. They certainly packed a wallop, but the flavor was mediocre. I do agree that they were a bit expensive, not really worth the price, IMO. I’d like to try the mojito when I go back. The appetizer was delicious. Came out quickly and was fresh & hot. We shared the empanadas. It comes with one chicken & one beef, but they give you the option of changing it to two of either variety. Next time I will certainly ask for both chicken, as it was the better of the two. The food was also good, came out hot & the portion size was generous, but not insane. I will say that the chicken fajitas did have slightly dry meat, but not enough to be an issue. all the toppings & extras you add when you prepare the fajita made it fine. We were full & did not get dessert. Honestly, it was a bit expensive, $ 80 for two people – one drink & one entrée each with a shared appetizer. I do see myself returning. I did not experience any issues with parking that other posters complained of, but again, I did go before the dinner crowd hit. I cannot comment on the club atmosphere because that really isn’t my scene & not what I look for when going out to eat. In short, if you’re comparing this place to Jose Tejas(which I like BTW) it’s apples & oranges.

The food is okay. It used to be really good but the portions have diminished over the years and the food is mediocre now. Atmosphere is horrible. Too loud.

The décor is nice and food is good. It’s a nice place for almost any occasion. It’s a good option to celebrate your birthday. You can buy an individual sized cake for the birthday person for around $ 10. If you mention to the server that it’s someones birthday they put a sparkler on your cake and give you a sombrero you can keep. Thursday is ladies night 9 – 11 they offer ladies free margarita. Sometumes on Friday they offer ladies free margaritas too. Both nights have a dj. They move the tables around 11pm for dancing. If you’re sensitive to smoke I recommend sitting on the bar side opposite the doors. If they leave the doors open the smoke from the smoke shop a few doors down gets in. You can park on the street or enter the lot on the side by the bank so you don’t have to valet your car.

Went here Saturday night and I’m not sure what’s worse, the food, the drinks or the crowd. I ordered the marinated chicken skewer, it was the most dry chicken that I’ve ever eaten. I don’t know what kind of marinade and seasoning they use but it was bland. We started with a coconut margarita, it was loaded coconut crème which made it like a thick shake, why not use 1800 Coconut tequila like any good bar/restaurant uses to make one especially since they are a Mexican themed joint. I then ordered a dirty gin martini, bartender didn’t put olive juice in it and our friend ordered a Midori sour which the bartender didn’t put Midori in… FAIL. On to the crowd, kinda like wanna be Mob Wives meets wanna be Goodfellas meets typical SI young douche bags… safe to say that I won’t be back.

Went to Cabo for dinner, drinks and dancing this Saturday night for my best friend’s mom’s birthday. This was my 3rd time here and although each time was very different from the others — the food and fun beverages have NEVER been a disappointment. This time I sipped on pomegranate mojitos(and then had to switch over to coronas after two — it was NOT gonna be one of those nights). I shared the ceviche appetizer with my roommate — the calamari and shrimp were so fresh … WAY better than fried the natural flavors with a hint of lime really were tantalizing. Forgot to talk about the salsa(that I’ve raved about since my first experience here) and the fresh guacamole. I love cilantro. I also tried something different for my entrée — Caesar salad quesadillas. No need to even describe, it’s just pure genius. After dinner the tables cleared and it turns into a nightclub ! Lots of disco but by the time were were leaving(close to 1 am) they started putting on some oldies but goodies — dance music from the 90s/early 00s. My only complaint is the wait. We waited over an hour despite reservations. However! I do not blame then staff or management ATALL. Someone in our party was actually good friends with the owner and her sister(who was the maitre d) — it’s just sometimes you can’t control your patrons … They wanted to sit until the music comes on. Try to get a booth when you go !
