We just came home from our party at Capizzi and really have to say we had the most amazing time. We were celebrating my son’s Bar Mitzvah. The food was delicious. Everything that we had was wonderful. The owner Stephania is amazing. She really made sure we were satisfied with everything. My guest were all talking about the food and how good it is. I have to say also service was amazing. Thank you very much we had an amazing time andwill diffinetly be back for those mushroom ravioli that were out of this world

So glad we came here! We came for dinner and ordered the sweet and spicy calamari as an appetizer. It was delicious, not comparable to something else I have tried. We then has chicken margarita and a pasta special which had burrata cheese, a cream sauce and grape tomatoes. Both meals were fantastic and again had a very unique flavor. We will be back here. For home made Italian food I think the price is right. Looking forward to trying to pizza next time!

Save your money. Overpriced, small portions, terrible service. Waited over an hour for basic personal pizzas(only size) and didn’t even get an offer from the manager for free glass of wine or anything else. Keep in mind we paid $ 9.50 for each glass of cheap wine, which probably cost more than what they paid for the bottle. This is basic customer service. The manager didnt even come over until we were complaining to the waiter. On the positive side the pizza was good. Don’t order the fried calamari. $ 15 for a portion the size of a small McDonald’s french fries and no legs…

What a nice little gem on Staten Island in Great Kills! Caprese Salad was the best I ever had as were the baked clams and Arugula and prosciutto pizza. Others in my party had Cornish hen and gnocchi in bolognese. Every last thing was excellent. Chef came to the table to check on things and service overall was above expectations. This restaurant has recently changed hands and and refurbished inside with a beautiful cozy feel. We had a great time and will definitely be going back. Nice to have a world class restaurant in my own back yard!

LaBellas was my favorite restaurant on Staten Island since it opened. At first I was told the work being done was just renovations and was awaiting the reopening. When I called to find out what menu items they still offered the man that answered the phone at the restaurant was very rude and said it’s just«a pizza and pasta place now». I decided not to go and check it out after the phone call. Need a new favorite restaurant.

This place would get 10 stars from me if possible! Extremely accomodating to your needs and the hospitable staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. We were a party of 20 and they catered to our needs even though we had a prixe fix menu. A couple of our guests did not eat what was on the menu so the chef PERSONALLY came out to accomodate those guests as she created a meal for them to their liking. The food was very delicious! The lobster raviolis were the best Ive ever tasted. All appetizers and entrees were fresh and delicious! We would definitely be returning and will highly recommend to everyone for fine italian cuisine! Great job guys!

My wife and I dined at Capizzi for the first time and we were very impressed. We started with a Strawberry Salad and an Arugula Salad. Both were fresh and delicious. The salads were accompanied by a basket of brick oven baked bread squares that were unique and very good. We then shared a Brick Oven Margherita Pizza with San Marzano Tomatoes and imported Italian Mozzarella, along with a dish of Eggplant and homemade Cavatelli. The pizza crust was done perfectly and the imported Mozzarella and Tomatoes were the perfect topping. The pizza chef Margareto did a great job. The Eggplant was served with a superb sauce and melted in your mouth. The Cavatelli were cooked al dente and had the flavor of fresh homemade pasta with a light sauce that blended beautifully with the pasta. The Owner/Chef Floriano came over and we talked about his passion for making people happy by serving delicious, high quality, truly homemade Italian dishes. His passion was impressive, and it was present in everything we ordered. Will be back soon.

Went in for the first time with my family to Capizzi, staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the cheese and meat platter with an amazing eggplant reduction and baked clams to start, they we amazing. The homemade pumpkin ravioli pasta special was very good. I was told it was recently renovated. The space is amazing for big parties and families and very cozy with and intimate family feel. Me and my family will definitely be back to try the brick oven pizzas.

Went to Capizzi on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted immediately by the hostess who told us there was a 20 minute wait but that the bar was open. We needed to eat quickly before seeing a movie planned later that evening. The bartender was super busy but gave us great service regardless… and his drinks were amazing!!! The menu was spot on with delicious appetizers and pizza. This is a great spot for simple, high quality food. Will definitely be back.

First time here but definitely not our last. A very comfortable atmosphere, attentive and helpful staff and more importantly, excellent food. The Marghrita pizza was made how it should be and the caprese was fresh and tasty. The special pumpkin ravioli was done well. Might be a new place, but the food and service shows their is a lot of experience behind this restaurant.

I rarely write a crumby review but this time I do it with good reason. As we entered we were greeted warmly and told it was a 30 minute wait. We went to the bar for a drink. The bartender poured the 4 drinks and said the tab was $ 28. I gave him $ 40 and waited for change. He then told me «sorry, its $ 35 dollars with the tax» mildly annoying but I chalked it up. Then we took a look at the menu… really just pizza, apps and a few pasta dishes. We ordered two $ 20 dallar pizzas for the table(«loaded» and«messina»). Each pizza consisted of 4 slices. The pizza was soggy… and barley passable. So many places to get awesome pizza on SI but these guys failed. Then the 4 of us ordered pasta dishes. Three of the pasta dishes came out but mine was not there. The waitress(who was pretty friendly and attentive to that point), apologized and said she would check on it. Didn’t see her again until the table was done with their pasta. At this point I told them to please just wrap the dish. The pasta dishes were so-so at best. I won’t be back!

From the second I walked in to this place I knew I was going to have a good experience. The owner himself came over and introduced himself and came over with some meat and cheese while we were waiting for our table. The pizza was so delicious and the appetizers we ordered were amazing. Normally I have something to complain about but my experience was 5 stars. if you like dessert I would try the cheesecake ! If you want good pizza and a good environment check this place out

I give Capizzi 5STARS!!! The food was excellent and the service was fabulous. The place had such a warm feeling with a beautiful aroma of good Italian food. It was a Saturday night and the place was extremely busy, but the service was excellent. I thought it was so thoughtful of the owner to come around and serve us cheese and prosciutto while we were waiting at the bar… by the way the drinks were great! We ordered pizza as an appetizer — well done the way we like it, and fresh pasta that was cooked to perfection. I cant wait to go back!

Not many choices, however what we ordered was fabulous. Calamari was absolutely fabulous, even though it was only the rings. The fresh pasta was cooked perfect. The meat balls, & the tender, falling off the bone pork was perfect, as is their sauce. The parking lot is much to small, & service, even though it wasn’t crowded was slow. The tables are placed much to close together, & the bathroom, while spotless, is one customer at a time, which could be problematic for a restaurant this large. The open kitchen is a very nice touch, but a nicer touch would be bread & butter on the table which is not available. That I think is RIDICULOUS! The portions are not large, but adequate, VERYFRESH, and worth the money. While waiting for the check, quite a few people were arriving with infants, that were being seated(again, tables are to close to each other) near adults out for a nice Sunday meal. A place this big, should be seating people with kids, near each other, so people without kids, aren’t subjected to screaming babies, or parents that are oblivious to out of control kids. We will probably be going back, because we did find the food delicious. We didn’t have any drinks, so I can’t comment on cost of drinks, or if it’s a free pour, or a measured shot.

Food was bland. Not a lot of choices. You do not get a lot for the money they charge!

Only gave 1 star because I didn’t have a choice. Formerly Labella’s and Labella’s was good when it first opened, then went downhill over the years. When I saw Capizzi I thought it would be under new owners. Food was horrible, one thing after another. Only to learn it’s the same owners just under new name and renovations. One thing that sticks out in my mind is the stuffed mushrooms. Eeek. Even the pizza was eh. Save yourself, there’s so many better options on the island. Sorry Capizzi.
