Chelsea Playground

Went today with my friend and our 2 1.5 year olds. When we arrived I was sure to ask the desk if the children were old enough to play around at their facility. I was told definitely. unfortunately, my 13 month old and her 22 month old were only able to play with the fisher price buggie cars.
I was disappointed with the food choices– chicken nuggets, hot dogs, fries and pizza. nothing healthy or edible for my child.
The facility wasnt the cleanest– dusty air vents, there were exposed orange wires and candy spilled around.
The few electronic toys that they had did not work and were either broken or needed batteries.
After a big group left, the workers were cleaning scuff marks off the wall, but not really sanitizing the toys, cars, mats etc.
i came from brooklyn and would definitely not go back. unless the reviews gwt better.

Use to love this place 10 years ago. Just went with my neice the other day and felt it was very run down. There was an empty room, not much of a play food selection in the resturant room… needs a good scrub and update! Deff has the ability to be better

worst. I was robed. 27 dollars to have my children almost killed every 2 min. Owner is rude. When I tried to explain to her that I felt I did not enjoy my time… My children are 17 months and almost 4. The dress up area is dirty and all costumes are on floor. Not one person is assisting the children and older kids are running into every child. People at front desk on the cell phone. I will NEVER come back again. Not only that I am a teacher and I will tell everyone I know about the rude owner and how dirty and unsafe the place is. A true place a parent just leaves there wild child and let’s run free like in a zoo. No safe play for any child under 7. Unless you wear a helmet. Not safe at all.

It’s a small place but with many fun activities. It’s clean and the parents area is in the middle square and the outer area covers the various theme play. I find it relaxing as a parent. Unlike the children’s museum, there is no need to run after the kids. I like to relax around here while looking at my kids run around from one theme room to another. I can hear them too! My friend from nj recommends this place and it’s a gem… Reminds me of a miniature Touch Museum in NJ. Less stress for one parent looking on two kids.
I found myself shouting less at this place. Usually the zoo and big children’s museums, I have to control my kids from running away from me. Now I can just watch

If I ever went back to this place, it would be after I am heavily sedated. It’s in the middle of nowhere, literally. I made the mistake of going on a Saturday, party day central, but it was either this or hang out with the out-​laws, so this was the lesser of two evils. I thought I would luck out like another poster and go on a very slow day. Guess not. I brought my 2 ½ year old and baby Good thing carriages were allowed in. There is a parking lot with about 10 spots or you can park on the street in mud. The minute I walked in, all I heard was screaming, kids running into you every which way and more screaming. There were at least 2 other parties going on, so with your toddlers, you then have 10 year olds running and stomping over your kid. I called ahead of time to make sure the equipment was appropriate for 2 – 3 year olds and was told it was. The jungle gym, my daughter could not get on or off herself and I wasn’t about to take my shoes off or leave my baby in the stroller unattended. In between her half hearted attempts to get on the jungle gym, she would get trampled over by an older child from one of the parties. They also have makeshift pretend rooms, like a post office, a classroom, a firehouse, etc. Thank god she found something she liked and played on the fire truck for about 2 hours. The place just seemed dingy to me. They had a «grocery store» with old bottles of Tropicana juice as toys. Um, really. They couldn’t buy actual toys. Then there’s the kid walking around licking the plastic bottle, then another sneezing on it. At the post office room, they had priority mail boxes that I guess management took from a federal post office, and you had kids running around hitting other kids with the boxes. Management consisted of some 70ish old woman and teenagers who after about 10 minutes of the boxes being thrown around they finally stepped in and told them to stop. But why the hell is this being used as a «toy» at this place to begin. I could not wait to leave this screaming, dirty mad house. Would I pay 16 bucks for my kid to play on a fake fire truck, bc pretty much that was the only toddler friendly stuff there? Hell no.

My kid loved this place so much went back every weekend
There is so much to do .it took my kid 2 hrs to cover it all, before he asked me for some pizza and chicken nuggets
Great place to take the kids for a day 2 – 3 hrs, no matter the weather. Lot’s to do in doors .food is ok nothing special.
Went here on a Saturday. This place was full no where to sit down… packed not impressed with the admission fee for adults

I LOVE this place and so Did my family and friends. Best party place, great staff (Britney). They werent pushy it was a natural flow. For the price Its a bargin. I recommend.

We attended a birthday party here for a 2 yr old, for what the party package offered, it was a good deal, however, this place is not very toddler-​friendly. Sure they offer a small selection of toys & a couple areas near the jungle gym for the little ones but it’s overall hazardous as there is an influx of ‘big kid traffic’. Amidst the larger areas for the older crowd (3 – 7 yr olds) the little guys are sure to get knocked down a few times, plus they can’t really enjoy the themed rooms. The staff were friendly & accommodating, they tended to the party guests very fairly despite there only being three of them working. All in all I thought the place was cute & worthy of a try if you live on the island.

Pretty clean, empty on a Friday. Love the little stores, and a maze is present as well. Good for a rainy day.

This is the most unaccommodating place i have ever been to. They nickle and dime you over everything and charge for adults. They don’t let you bring outside food and their catering was total crap.

Had a birthday party there and it was horrendous. rooms are a great concept, but overall not a good experience. owner is nasty and rude to her guest. will not go back again.

My kids love it here and always have a good time. But I do not take them anymore. Its a cute place and layout is good but its way overpriced. My major complaint is that the adults have to pay. Why should I pay to supervise my own kids? They should stop charging adults to just sit & watch their kids play. If they did I would bring my kids there all the time. Someone else said it was dirty and its kinda true. It could cleaner but in truth none of the kids places on Staten Island are very clean. Its a nice place but its not worth the price. Its not like they have any rides or anything special. Plus they overcharge on the food so they don’t need the extra money from the adults.

Went here on a Saturday. Thought it would packed but there was only about 7 kids already there and they were from. Birthday party. Impressed how empty the place was, not impressed with the $ 5 admission fee for adults ($ 9.99 fee for the kids). I loved the concept of the place, having little people stores where the kids could go shopping with a mini shopping cart or they could go to the post office. They have the maze (like chucky cheese ‘used’ to have). We had a nice time, just wish adults were free. As far as being clean, I saw the girls who worked there constantly spraying things and putting things back. But I’m sure there are better places. Perhaps in another state…

Not what is was a few years ago! Starting to get dingy and dusty. They really need to invest in commercial grade toys, because most of the toys look like castoffs from homes and have seen better days! This is a business and needs to be up kept as one… it is not cheap as they charge adults an entry fee as well, so there is no excuse for it not to be maintained properly. projector
in theater was not working and the curtains for the puppet theater in there were all ripped and shredded, puppets not very clean looking either. Fire engine windshield was broken. The
grocery store has a lot of empty cleaned out detergent bottles (real ones). Not sure if this could be a safety issue.
