We ordered from her a few times. The food is good and prices reasonable. My only problem is their Shepard salad, not a traditional one and that’s one of my favorite items. Try it.

AVOIDTHISPLACE! VERYUNPROFESSIONALANDRUDESTAFF!!! I went there to place a large order for a party, total was over $ 200 and I wanted to use the Valpak coupon that they send in the mail and they didn’t accept it and were BEYOND rude! One of the waiters there who is fat with brown hair was so incredibly mean, he mocked me and said have a good day when I said I’m going elsewhere! I went to Istanbul restaurant in Brooklyn(which is amazing). These people are terrible, avoid it like the plague!

Very unprofessional and rude staff. I tried to place an order for a chicken shish kebab plate but wanted to substitute out the rice for extra salad. The person taking my order told me no and hung up on me without any explanation. Very disappointing.

5 Star food for 2 star prices. Excellent décor, delicious, succulent grilled meats, GIANT portions… Where to start with this review? Walked in for a casual lunch with a friend one day and was very surprised. The place was empty other than 1 other table, and seemed to have constant delivery business going out. The waitress was very nice and attentive, recommended the zucchini pancakes as an appetizer, which were from another planet. Tables setup was very organized and formal, bottled sparkling mineral water was served in wine glasses which was a nice touch to a place that doesn’t serve alcohol. The food was served in great size portions and the meats were all amazing, with very fresh veggies and yogurt, along with soft pita bread. Prices? Totally reasonable for a place like this. Came out to $ 30 for two people with a tip, and had leftovers to bring home. Seaside Mediterranean in South Beach has gone from affordable, to out of my budget. Ciragan can take my money any time for Turkish food. Oh, you can smell that delicious grill smell from across the street when you’re outside. Makes my mouth water everytime I pass it now.

A couple of days ago I planned on ordering take out, but watching through the window that leads into the kitchen I saw the chefs cutting bread for the tables on a meat cutting board, touching salad greens with their bare hands after handling raw meat, and wiping their faces with their gloved hands, then holding down and cutting food. Not to mention the 2 cooks were smoking in the kitchen! I walked out without ordering and wouldn’t suggest this place just for these reasons. It’s a shame because the food smelled great, but not worth the health risk.

I’ve tried different Turkish restaurants and this is so far the BEST. Everything here is fresh and tastes great. The bread was very fresh and crispy, turns out they make their own. When it comes to liver cubes I’m very picky, but Liver cubes here are a must, very juicy and tasty.(Not dry and tasteless like in most places). I also recommend taking a chicken gyro plate it was amazing.(Rice was very unique and tasty). Almost forgot, the soup here is «wow» that’s all I can say. Everything was on point. Will definitely return.

My gosh! We finally have an authentic Turkish restaurant in SI — no need to go to Brooklyn anymore. The food was outstanding and the staff very friendly. The humus, salads and appetizers were fresh and the meat very soft; the shish kebab is to die for guys! Yes the service is a little slow but they just opened this restaurant — I am sure they will fix it. I Highly recommend this place If you enjoy this kind of food. Hands down the best Turkish we have in the Island.

Sautéed lamb with fresh peppers, tomato sauce and onions. If you’re ever in Staten Island — try this new place out for Turkish food(4 months open)! Wait staff is super friendly and accommodating too. I have severe food allergies and the lady above in the video helped walk me through the menu and gave several options that made me feel really comfortable eating here. Overall, the experience was pleasant, food was good quality and I look forward to trying their other dishes in the future. Keep it up!

I was driving through Staten Island for business stopped here to eat. I frequent Turkish restaurants often. The place was very clean. The hostess greeted me as soon as I walked in. She was very nice. I was seated right away. The waiter was polite and very knowledgable in Turkish cuisine. For appetizer I had the Shepherd salad and fried liver. Both were on point and very delicious. Good size portions also. For the main coarse I had the mixed grill. The meat was tender and juicy just the way it should be. I had the Turkish coffee and dessert just as good as I had in Istanbul. I would come back again when I’m in the area and would recommend this to anybody who likes Turkish food or if your looking to try something new. You will not be disappointed. Surprised to see some bad reviews because it was a very pleasurable experience. I have eaten in a lot of Turkish restaurants and Ciragan Place is up there on the list.

This place sucks starting with the woman who greets you at the entrance yes the same one in the video above with the pictures with the long black hair. when she is not puffing on her cigarette, she is hanging out with other teens talking and laughing. Not a good ambiance. the food was ok mediocre nothing to write home about it is not a place I would return to. Hummus was acceptable, not delicious. Gyro was cold and mediocre. Pass this place and go to the Turkish seaside resort about a ten minute drive away off of Father Cappodanno Blvd. This place is run by silly teenagers with no supervision and no professionalism.

We have been dining here since they opened. Every time we come here we enjoy! The food is always amazing! Appetizers are terrific! We have tried many different things, St. Peter’s fish, chicken kabobs, lamb etc. Always happy! The service is so wonderful. The manager, Ramza makes us feel like family! And BYOB is a plus!!!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today and were so pleased. We ordered two different dishes so we could each taste both, as well as the chicken soup. Everything was so fresh and the soup was exceptional. Our experience was so pleasant due to the waiter. Ryan was so personable, he made us feel so comfortable and was so welcoming. The owner should be aware of what a valuable asset Ryan is ! Needless to say, we’ll be back !

So, I’m a bit biased since I’m really lactose intolerant… Every single item(beside the shepherds salad, french fries, plain meat without traditional sauce and the grilled vegetables has butter, yogurt or some form of dairy in it). That’s what the waitress told me after I bought their Groupon special. :( This is totally not their fault, so I’m not writing a «meh» review in spite. One thing that I did like was that on the menu, the ingredients are written under each item(however, some items are left out. For example, under«hummus» it wasn’t written that there’s yogurt in it, but the manager told me there was yogurt in it, hmm…) I wish I could give an honest review about their food, but I personally could not try anything beside their shepherds pie(ok/good), some french fries, pieces of calamari(good and crispy), grilled vegetables(good), a bit of falafel(good with hummus), and hummus(good), before the waitress told me that there was dairy in the last 2 items. Honestly, the décor in this place is nice and everything is homemade(according to the management), so I would definitely recommend that you try this place if you want homemade, traditional Turkish food. It looks like it would be good. About the service. One thing that kind of gets on my nerves is when 2 people are waiting on your table, but they don’t communicate with one another, and they make the lack of communication very evident. We would ask for something from one waitress and she would forget, so when I asked the other waitress for the same item, she would tell me that I never asked for it. Lol. Kind of annoying. They would be eating or talking to each other while we had no water, but it wasn’t a big deal. They were very nice. My friend who I went to the restaurant with said that the kunefe was AMAZING, and the baklava also looks really yummy(but I didn’t have any for myself). She said that the lamb gyro was mediocre and the chicken gyro was good. Not too pricey at all. Would def recommend that you get the groupon if you wanted to eat here.

Food is ok. Wouldn’t accept coupons for delivery even though nowhere did it say that it was good for dine-in only. Good old bait-and-switch. This is a shady practice. Gyro and chicken kebab was dry. Falafel was good. The French fries were the most impressive things I ate. Anyway, have had much better Turkish food for much less money.

I wanted to try this place out so I called for delivery last Saturday night. I placed my order on Unilocal at 7:50 pm. The estimated time of delivery was 45 minutes to an hour. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes I decided to call and see what was taking so long. I should note also that the restaurant is one block and a half from my house. I would of picked it up myself but I couldn’t leave my elderly sick mother alone so I decided to have them deliver. When I called I was told that my order just went out. So I now waited another half hour and the time was now 9:30 pm. I called again and the guy told me that the delivery men were all out and my order should of been with them. He then put on some woman(I would assume she was the owner). She apologized and said my order was received but she didn’t know why I didn’t receive it. She said she was going to make it and have it delivered immediately. She apologized again and said she would give me a free desert. After waiting over 2 hours for my delivery one block away I think I should of got my meal for free. When it arrived the food was ok. I guess I was just annoyed so I really just wasn’t fully enjoying it. I may try it again but I know if I owned that restaurant I would of done more for the customer than a free rice pudding that I didn’t even want. I would of done everything to have this annoyed customer come back to my restaurant.

Only giving this place two stars because it was bearable. I walked in and the hostess actually told me she’s surprised someone is coming into eat… I should’ve dipped as soon as she said that. I sat down with a friend here for dinner, and was really disappointed. I ordered a shepherd salad with feta cheese, and the salad was a disappointment. The tomatoes were really unfresh, and the feta cheese wasn’t even white it was almost yellow like. Next came the falafel, which wasn’t bad but the sauce served with it was not tasty at all. Then came my lamb gyro plate, which was the ultimate disappointment. The meat was so dry and stale, not even properly spiced. And the meat was cut thickly, and gyros are suppose to be cut thin. The plate was really big but the bread served was almost non-existent. My friend ordered a chicken gyro plate, and she had the same complaints. Really dry meat and obviously not fresh. Overall, deff wouldn’t recommend nor would I come back. I love Turkish food and this was terrible. Our waiter was really nice and professional, the hostess was questionable. Just avoid at all costs — there’s better options elsewhere. It’s cheap food but you get what you pay for.
