I live the zumba classes and the instructors are awesome and so energetic. I highly recommend others to come and join in on the fun.

Always a great class but even more so when it’s my girl Teresa in front w/​my front row divas! Class was everything and more! Best decision walking into Crunch a little over a year ago!!!

I’ve been going to this gym for a year now and I have to say I love it! The employees are friendly and very helpful. The classes are great and versatile!
I’ve trained with Nigel who is excellent! He helped me to get to my goal! As well as Gabby who is another trainer and a Zumba instructor, very good! And my all time favorite is Teresa, Zumba instructor. Her class always gets me excited! The instructors are awesome and are the main reason why I come and why I’ve stayed at this gym. The energy is so amazing & the people that I’ve met that once were strangers are now my good friends!
If you’re looking for a gym, this is the place to come! Great atmosphere, great employees, great people & definitely a great workout!!!

DON’T USE THIS GYM!!!
I took classes and personal training and while the teachers were always nice, the classes were often too crowded or cancelled without notice. Schedules constantly changed. Then, within a few months of opening the gym started to stink. I thought it was just that day, but it was consistently smelly. The scale in the bathroom broke and was never fixed, Equipment was always dirty and the one guy I saw clean always seemed to be cleaning the ladies room at the busiest rush in the morning. CREEPY.
Then, I moved and filled out a form to cancel my membership. They kept charging me saying i never cancelled. Since they use a billing company in Canada, its been a nightmare trying to get them to stop charging mel. I’ve sent two letters and managers NEVER return my calls, the very managers who promised such a wonderful experience.

I’m new to the area. Had been a member of Crunch in Los Angeles so, thought I would join here.
On the phone I was very specific that I needed a membership that I could use in Manhattan too.
The guy told me on the phone. No problem. It would be only 20 dollars to join.
Well get down there and was not impressed with the appearance of the gym at all,
It made planet fitness look luxurious .
Then I asked about the membership deal I was told about on the phone.
Turned out. It did not exist .
I’m going to save my money. Join another gym.
There are great crunch locations .

Clean facility with friendly staff! Trainers are always available if you have questions on how to use the machines. The water massaging bed after a work out feels amazinggggggggg!!!

Love it. I think there workout programs are excellent and extremely well priced

Just joined a few weeks ago and so far so good. The only problem I see are that a lot of the people that workout there are lazy and don’t put the weights back where they belong. C’mon people if you can lift it to workout how hard is it to put them back. The word is consideration. I also wish there was another squat rack. 1 doesn’t cut it.

Not terrible. Definitely good for the price tag. Better than Planet Fitness, but not sufficient.
First, only one squat rack. Completely unacceptable to have one squat rack and no power cage in a gym with this volume. Should be 2 squat racks and at least 1 power cage at a bare minimum. Nothing worse than trying to do squats and waiting for someone doing 15 sets of 55lb curls in there. This alone is a deal breaker
Second, it gets way too crowded. This is a problem at most places, but it is a major problem here with the price point. It also does seem to attract more of a beginner/​sophomoric type clientele, which makes trying to work out in a crowded gym much more difficult than it could be.
Lastly, I understand that Crunch has a contract with Precor, but I just can’t get down with their equipment. The cardio stuff is fine, but their plate-​load machines are pretty annoying. Not even remotely comparable to Hammer Strength.

Awkward injury prone Leg Press «star trac» plate loaded machine that no one uses cause it’s made for a very thin miget and now the best leg extension broken due to management neglecting to add two small screws on each end for over a year this could’ve prevented this machine from being damaged.

for the price this is an excellent gym, as crowded as it can get I have never had to wait to use a cardio machine, the classes offered are good. I wish they could offer spinning and step but I understand that if they are able to do that it may require higher rates.

The price! The price really can’t be beat. $ 9.95 a month is so reasonable, and $ 19.95 a month includes all the classes, tanning and the hydro-​massage table. I love the hydro-​massage table.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The weightlifting area can get crowded, it seemingly always is. There are always plenty of cardio machines.
I can’t figure out when they clean this place. In the evening the locker rooms are generally in a complete state of disarray. Sometimes when I come around 6:30 a.m. it’s clean, sometimes it’s disgusting.

Nice gym, great trainers & instructors, the atmosphere is very welcoming and is family friendly orientated. I highly recommend

I joined in Feb 2014 and waited for the gym to open in July. At first it was well worth the wait. Everything was clean and beautiful. Staff was always helpful and excited to be there. Unfortunately I’m hoping another gym opens in the area soon. It is packed all day long. No matter what time you go, there will be a wait for certain machines. ($ 10 a month) Forget about the free weight area. Guys are allowed to take multiple weights and go in a corner and use them all. Very inconsiderate. Staff says nothing. Also, there is an odor issue. Of course it’s a gym and gyms at times might smell unpleasant. But the smell is constant. It’s also due to the fact that members and staff eat out in the open. Last week one member was eating soup on the bikes. Again, staff says nothing. No gym I have been to would ever let members or staff eat in the gym area. Also, people are constantly bringing guests that have to be signed in separately. This creates a long line at check in and of Course over crowding. I hope they make some changes because it’s located in a convenient area and Id hate to leave.

Considering how big the place they have way to many cardio machines and not enough weight machines people can run or jog for free in a park no need to pay for it and the small area they do have for weights blows because you have to wait for people to get done and there’s too much down time not worth my money it’s just another planet fitness it’s crap

Love the staff here there always pleasant and welcoming and very helpful if needed.
PARKING SUCKS! Not enough space at all in that parking garage and it can be difficult to find street parking because the area has a lot of construction going too. Not there fault but can be so annoying when you just wanna pump your iron already!

Lots of lockers in the locker room which includes a shower, changing area, coat rack and restrooms and they offer monthly locker rentals.
This place can be packed at all hours of the day but you still are able to get your workout on and get a good sweat!

Crunch is run well and the staff are very welcoming. My Personal training sessions have proven Crunch’s professionalism & dedication to health; and I had so much fun!
The facilities are kept clean & location is convenient.
The only negative is that some other clients don’t follow (or know) gym etiquette & Don’t re-​rack their weights; while Working-​in is sometimes a social glitch. Lol

Relatively new facilities that have been kept well maintained so far.
My only gripe: 5 o’clock close on Sundays? Come on people, a Sunday night workout is great.

Great basic gym. No-​frills but everything you need to get in a good workout. It’s brand-​new so everything is in good shape and clean. The reason I gave it five stars is because even though it doesn’t have a lot of the nice amenities that a lot of other more expensive gyms have, for $ 10 a month you really can’t beat this place. I absolutely love the rowing machine that has a drum with water in it that makes it feel like you’re really rowing. The only thing missing for me is a weight assisted pull-​up bar because that’s the only way I’m ever going to be able to build up to doing regular pull-​ups…
