They claim the best burger I’m not so sure about that but they are good. One thing I can say nobody in Staten Island can make a cheese steak like they can. Pretty much a bar and grill. I go here from time to time. Nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle.

I love old school bars, and the north shore is full of them. Watching a game with a beer here is pure relaxation and an experience I wish on every American of drinking age.

Duffy’s is a staple when it comes to choosing dinner on the island. To begin, their burgers are delicious. I’ve had some of their specials as well and they’ve all been delicious.
The staff is always spot on. Luckily, the usual waitress has remembered me and my order, which shows the quality of the restaurant and service. It’s a true West Brighton gem.

Cute place but the service was horrible. Seems like a great place to go and grab a drink. But my boyfriend and I came for burgers since its known to be the best burger place. I’m not sure if we just went on a bad night but the burgers were not the best we’ve ever tasted. Both of us agreed that it wasn’t all that. The waffle fries however were DELISH! And the French onion soup was pretty good as well.
we must have asked our waiter three times for lemonade, we got Sierra Mist all three times. I asked for blue cheese, never got it. And we were waiting for ketchup got about 15 minutes. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back to this place again.

I have been meaning to come here for years and finally got to do so on Sunday. The place was crowded and homey, just your average old time bar with about 8 tables for ppl to eat at. I know their claim to fame is supposedly their burgers but I didn’t smell any burgers cooking and I should’ve taken that as a sign. When good burgers are cooking, the aroma is heavenly. We each ordered the Munster Burger Special which came with sautéed onions and bacon. The burgers are huge but strangely flavorless. I was hoping for a savory, delicious burger, instead I got a great big bland burger. It didn’t even seem to have salt so I salted it but it didn’t help much. I was very disappointed. Fries were okay. I ate my burger because I was hungry but my son didn’t even finish half of his. I should mention that this is a kid who can devour 2 shake shack burgers and the huge ones they serve at Juniors. We got the Pot Stickers with Dipping Sauce for an appetizer and those were good. Crispy and tangy. The service was meh. Apathetic server sleepwalking thru his job. I asked him for the check and instead of placing it on the table, he dropped it on the floor and didn’t even notice. I don’t think I would return. Perhaps, their other food is good but if the burgers which they say are the best on the island fall short, what can one reasonably expect from the rest of the menu?

First rate hamburgers and chicken noodle soup. Can’t recommend Duffy’s highly enough.

Once use to be a good spot is now horrible the food was brunt for the second time the burger was very greasy and brunt on the out side also the silver ware was filthy with food on it after complaining about the food wasn’t offered a new plate or refund. My family and I have been going there for years I cam tell b u one thing I won’t be going back

Excellent pub food at reasonable prices. Their burghers are the best on the island. The Ruben sandwiches are large and very tasty. the buffalo wings are the best around.

Not the best burgers on Staten Island. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was burnt, I asked for mozzarella and they gave me American cheese, it was too high built to even bite it, it came on an English muffin which is ok but I prefer a potato roll. Also, my beer came warm as if they just reloaded the fridge. The appetizers, sides and service are what gives Duffys 2 stars. I still recommend a visit there but it just wasn’t for me.

My favorite burger on the island, hands down. It comes on an English muffin and is so delicious. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for some great hangover food!

Glorious day for a bike ride, so I headed to Staten Island w/​a couple buddies. We stopped in Duffy’s, intrigued by the house burger which Time Out just named it one of the best in NYC. It was very good! Props to Godfrey who runs the kitchen, and siblings Mike and Jacquelyn who run the front of the house and provide great customer service. We’ll return!

Duffys is the quintessential dive bar. What sets this pub aside is the quality of food. It would be unfair to compare it to places like Standard Burger or the Phunky Elephant. It s bar food with homemade flare the burgers are hand made like mom makes, the fries are nothing less then delicious. The onion ring are truly great and the chili cheese potato wedges MMMM! The staff is friendly and their prices are great. Been there many times and will be there again.

Came in here for a quick bite on a busy Sunday, There specials menu gave a special feel. all handwritten & occasionally changed to meet the new special of another day. I ordered there Cowboy Beef Burger and it was superb! There sweet potato fries were on point also! Didn’t get much of their drinks to experience yet. I wasn’t that thrilled with the service, we got took the bill right away & paid it also right away (because we were in a hurry) but didn’t see the waiter after. That lead to me going up to get my own re-​fills. But non the less I will be going back again soon!

Duffy’s is our neighborhood bar with plenty of regulars. My husband and I go there often. Its a small bar, dim lighting with lots of personality!
The staff has been there forever and the food is consistent. The burgers are amazing! I love the chicken fingers!!! Best bar food!
The portions are generous and the prices are cheap… even the mixed drinks. We always have a great time at Duffy’s!
Weekends and holidays its packed!

Fun place to watch football the burgers here are great they make them with a English muffin and fries cooked perfectly. All the old school fireman that go here are funny had me laughing the entire time.

Fun and loud place to take your family for dinner. There is not much seating so I don’t know how they accommodate parties larger than four. If you want to avoid walking through the bar crowd for dinner park in the rear and come in through the back door.
The staff is very friendly and attentive. The burger is definitely one of the best on the island, don’t know if it is the best though. It’s thick, smothered in cheese and served on a warm English muffin.
Definitely a place you should stop in at least once in your lifetime.

OK– It’s a dive bar. Which is fine.
Get a beer and sit at the bar and watch the game. But to say you have The Best Burger on SI? Sorry, no.
I had it. Can’t say anything special about it. Had I know it came on an English muffin, I would have asked for a bun. There was nothing special about it. The meat didn’t stand out, nor did the toppings. Fries were fine. Just eat those instead.

This is a hole in the wall Irish bar with probably the best cheeseburgers on Staten Island!
Very good value/​price and the meat in the burgers is thick and very tasty. They are served on a toasted English muffin and with melted on cheddar cheese. Above average tasting fries too.
The seating can get a bit cramped if they are busy — the tables are fairly close together and the hallway is kinda narrow. Nice authentic/​nostalgic bar atmosphere though.

Had lunch here with the Mrs. today before going to see the SI Yanks.
We decided we were going to order off the specials menu. For an appetizer, we had the Cajun Steak Tips which had a nice little kick, it was served with salsa and sour cream.
For burgers, (which may be the best on Staten Island), I had the Irish Cheddar burger with sweet potato fries and my wife had the Bleu Cheese burger with waffle fries. Everything was very good, we lucked out as the place was not very crowded.
On a side note, they also have awesome French Onion Soup and Chili, which are great during those cold days.
