Firestone Complete Auto Care

This Firestone (on Hylan Boulevard, next to the Car Wash and Chevy/​Ford dealership) has been my go to place for ~2 years now. The people in the front desk as well as the mechanics are all wonderful.
I have — so far — not felt deceived or cheated, or robbed off — as I haven’t had any big or worse repair on my car. The biggest one was me getting all my tires replaced with Bridgestone. Expensive? Yes; Robbed? No.
The only issue — and I assume this is common with many other auto repair shops is — the timeline. They mostly try to honor your appointment time, but if it gets delayed, 90% of the time, that is conveyed to me. The times I was not told what was happening (or not happening) to my car were low. I always stay with my car until work is done, so having been there anywhere from ~30 minutes to ~6 hours, I have seen /​heard almost every customer’s attitude (and Firestone guys’ attitude as well).
Anthony /​Jian Carlo /​Devon (Paul — I was told moved to Brooklyn) are the main guys there. All are great to deal with, and they have great temperament with (almost) all customers.
Definitely a place to take your car with trust and expect that stuff will be done right. Are there times when they probably did not service properly? Maybe. I have never had it done yet, so my experience so far has been excellent.

Honest and fast. I brought my car here because I thought my oil pan was leaking oil. Tech looked at the car within 15 minutes. Tech told me he could not find a leak anywhere and that there was nothing wrong with the car. No fake repairs, no charge for the courtesy check. Just an honest tech/​mechanic. I was and still in shock. I expected to be hit with a $ 300-​$ 400 repair bill. Thanks Jason and Devon, pleasure doing business with you. I have used this Firestone on and off for 12 years. It seems the new management team and techs are doing their jobs! Honest and fast service, I didn’t think they exist any more! Thank you and it’s appreciated.

I came to get my oil changed and was pushed ito doing services on my car that were previously done. will not be returning

I’m kind of shocked some people had a bad experience here, I personally had an excellent one. Firestone helped me get my rim and tire on my car so I can get back on the road since Manfredi wouldn’t help me at all. They got me in right away and told me all the steps they are doing. Devon who helped us was super friendly and provided excellent customer service. I apologize I did not get the name of the other man who worked on my car, overall great staff and great experience!

they snuck in a «road hazard protection» plan on two tires I bought and did not even ask if I wanted it or give me the paper work to go with it
also as somebody else mentioned about being nickel and dimed I was charge $ 6.00 to install wiper blades on a bill that was over $ 900

I SO wish we had read these reviews before we took our car to these idiots for front brake pad replacements. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON.
We are from California, and were visiting relatives. We took our car there, just prior to getting on the road back to the West Coast. On the drive we noticed that the car was vibrating when my husband used the brakes. That happens when the rotors are not machined during the brake pad replacement.
When we got to Colorado, we took the car to the Boulder Firestone, as the warranty if for a year, and is nationwide. Boulder Firestone could not find our warranty information in the national database, because Staten Island Firestone DIDN’T PUT IT IN!
We had to call Staten Island to get them to put it into the national database. Paul at Staten Island FIrestone also agreed that we didn’t get the work we paid them to do, which was machining the rotors, an integral part of replacing brake pads.
The Boulder Firestone, after telling us that they are experts on brakes, did not machine the rotors, they charged us for bleeding and replacing the brake fluid, which may or may not need to have been done.
Subsequently, two independent mechanics in the Boulder area confirmed, by sight, that the rotors were not machined, and needed to be.
We will never go to another Firestone again, anywhere in the country.

Please, I implore you, DO NOT GO to this place. It’s run by a bunch of scam artists/​ex-​con mechanics.
I went here to get an oil change, and they asked if I would like to align my tires. I, of course, said no. I didn’t need to because my car was fairly new (about 7 months old). Well, guess what? They ruined my car. After I was done with the service, I drove my car and noticed that my car was making an odd noise. I didn’t really make much of it at that point, but this problem persisted, and worsened (it started shaking!) for at least two weeks, before I went to the car dealership, and they said that one of the axles was damaged. That simply isn’t possible for a 7 month old car that gets used locally! Thankfully, my warranty covered this, otherwise I doubt i would have been able to prove Firestone did this to me.
Once again, let me reiterate: Unless you have money to give away and want to be dubbed a fool by some POS scum-​bags, do not go here!

Came in with my father to ask about taking some pictures for an insurance claim, as well as get an oil change, and the man working the desk couldn’t even be bothered to have human decency. He had an attitude from the moment we walked in, and he answered our questions in an extremely clipped tone. He then immediately turned away and walked onto the work floor. When he finally see’s us still standing there, the first words out of his mouth were literally «What do you want?» like a bratty man child.
How do you expect to keep business when you can’t even answer a few questions without an attitude? He acted like I had offended his mother or something because I didn’t immediately walk out of his establishment. With so many other service centers in the area, why deal with an overpriced establishment that can’t even treat you like another human being?

I wish I read reviews on this joke of a place before I went there. OMG I can’t believe this place is still in business. Nothing but a bunch of scam artists and douchebags. I brought my car in for an oil change. Mind you the car is brand new and I installed a cold air intake on it which has a reusable air filter (K&N). I just cleaned out the airfilter at home but I can’t do an oil change in my parking lot… damn I miss having a garage… Anyway I go for the oil change. I’m waiting around when a «mechanic» who works there approaches me with a filthy air filter. He says he has to replace my air filter and shows me this filthy air filter and says I really should change it more often. I couldn’t help myself from laughing in this clowns face. I double check that he got that air filter from my car that was on the lift and he said yes. I demand he get my car off the lift this second before i blow a gasket. i storm into the office and call the manager out on this scam. He tells the guy to get my car and still asks for the money for the oil change and that there «must’ve been a mistake». I almost caved this guy’s face in. Long story short, the cops were called, I didn’t pay for shit and this guy is still breathing. Please, for the love of baby jesus, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHITHOLE. Its these scam artists that give real, honest mechanics a bad name. It boils my blood to think how many people they have pulled this scam on in the past.

Got a flat tire, and needed a replacement. I went in there spoke to a guy name Frank. He explained he doesn’t stock the tire and had to order it. A week later it comes in… I bring my car there, and he tells me he can not change the tire because he doesn’t have the equipment to install a runflat. This would have been good info a week ago numbnuts.
I buy the tire from him and brought it to another shop who installed it. What a joke firestone is, and the attitude of their staff leaves alot to be desired.

Firestone is a place best avoided. The only good thing I did there is they had a special on lifetime alignment and balancing for your car for $ 109.
That’s a good deal and I periodically have my vehicles alignment and wheel balancing checked here and will for the life of my automobiles.
Other than that they suck. Since they only sell their brand of tires they can be limited if you need a certain tire.
If you have a repair done here they will nickel and dime you to death. Aside from the cost of the part and the labor which is to be expected they charge you for:
Brake cleaner fluid (in my case)
Shop rags
Gloves the technician wears
So now I go elsewhere if my car needs to be repaired.
The one time I had my car inspected there was a nightmare. All of a sudden there was this wrong and that wrong and when I called their bluff there was nothing wrong. They’re just looking to pad the bill.
Then that idiot that runs the place, Frank, what a buffoon! He bumbles around looking like he knows what he’s doing when in reality he’s just fucking off and smoking. He tells me the inspection is done and I pay the $ 37.00 fee. I get to my car and there’s no sticker on it. I go back and question this he tells me they ran out can I come back tomorrow?
I lose it. I start yelling and screaming at these guys and lo and behold they found a sticker! What a miracle! I guess they thought they were being slick when I refused their bullshit repair services and they were going to jerk me around on a inspection sticker.
But I’m slicker! And NYS received a complaint from me regarding their inspection station. What a bunch of jerk offs!
