nice people, OK beers on draft(mostly big name domestics, no craft beers). i’d go again as it was a nice experience, but pizza was only decent. gluten free was also decent.

I ordered fresh mozzarella bar pizza and I loved it! I ordered calzone with spinach and sicilian pie for my parents once. I enjoyed the calzone. Somehow the sicilian pie is a little doughy, I am not sure why it wasn’t fully cooked. It was still good. They forgot to add extra tomato sauce for the calzone. I definitely will order from there again.

Honestly, I haven’t been here in a good 20 years and I went last night with my family. I ordered baby back ribs tasted horrible the waitress tells me it’s there own sauce it takes like it came from a dollar store I swear. Asparagus and Sangria was good. I think they are only good for pizza. Waitress too much wanting to go home telling us clams would take 30min meanwhile didn’t. Who says that to customers? Like if you don’t want to be there go home. My husband said the food made him constipated will be the first and last time going there. Don’t waste your money! Go to Real Madrid for what your going to pay you will get a lot more for your money. This is for the Roadhouse not Jimmy Max

One of my favorite pies on the Island. My wife and I love getting the Mussels as an appetizer and then splitting their regular pies.

So no matter how hungry I am I will eat my shoe before I eat there. First of all I thought I was either going to go deaf or loose my mind with the amount of screaming children without supervision on a late Saturday night in a place for adults. But I guess I sucked it up and ordered my pie. It was huge and very wet … Yuk. To me if the pie cannot support its toppings that’s a problem. I also do not enjoy eating off 4″ plastic plate. Cmon they can’t provide you with at least a paper plate that accommodates your slice? I had to use two place in order to not have my slice touch the grossly sticky and greasy table. Our server was good he was attentive and quick in the midst of the chaos. Pint of craft beer on tap was $ 6 … We are not in Manhattan … I am still wondering why people are excited about this place, there are quite a few places on Staten Island that blow this one out of the water.

Great pizza, lots of really good gluten free options, and really friendly staff. Love going to Jimmy Max and love that they have a separate party room for bigger events. I also like that there’s a bar or dining room so you can sit in the atmosphere you’re looking for.

I highly recommend this place. Been coming here for probably 20 years or so, and have never been disappointed. Great pizza and a nice menu with something for everyone. Plus, a great bar if that’s your thing. The last time I ate here, I shared two small/personal pies; the Jimmy Max Special and a Sausage Pie… as well as the Fried Calamari as an appetizer. Everything was exceptionally delicious, and more than enough for two hungry men. We couldn’t finish everything… Something cool about the Bar is that there are two chairs reserved with nameplates for a couple locals, who I believe were Firefighters and have long been retired and spend their days(every single day) at the bar, in the same seats they have been sitting in for many years. I don’t remember the details, but something to look out for… in case you’re in the bar, and some elderly guys asks you to get up, that’s his chair.

Good neighborhood spot. The pizza is good. The clams casino is my favorite. The gluten free pie they offer is not bad either. I wasn’t a fan of the mussels though I believe they are frozen. All in all its pretty good. I go there often more because of convenience then the food.

The restaurant has turn of the century elements in the interior(ie, it looks nice). The pizza crust is thin, has plenty of cheese, all around tasty, and is served at a near perfect temperature.

One of my faves to bring the kids. Pizza is awesome. Food is always on point. Appetizers are amazing. Jimmys crabby bread is so good. They have a bar next door so you can get beer on tap and drinks. Family friendly. I be live on Tuesdays kids make their own pizza for free and they cook it I believe with an adult meal which kids love. The owner jimmy is a true class act. Friendly and a genuine guy. We will always come to eat here. Best part is we live 5 minutes away.

I ordered from them on GrubHub earlier today and at one point I realized my order was two hours late! I called them and explained the situation and it turned out GrubHub never submitted my order. The woman I spoke to on the phone(I think her name was Jennifer?) was incredibly apologetic and not only did she have them rush my order, I was given a complimentary slice of cake to apologize for the mixup. It totally made my day and I will definitely be ordering from them again(although maybe by phone next time haha).

On a Friday evening I called to place an order for delivery. The girl who answered was friendly but kept me on hold for over 5 minutes. So I hung up and called again. She did the same thing. I said screw this and ordered elsewhere, however I do give them a high rating because their food is delicious. Their pizza is always spot on and so are the pasta dishes. Despite being shunned once over the phone I will continue ordering from them

Haha, so actually… the margarita bar pie and eggplant parmigiana are the bomb. I still stand my ground on all the pizza and other items on the menu, but those two dishes are worth a visit.

My parents and I ate here on the last day of our trip to Chicago and the Atlantic Northeast about four and a half years ago. We were in a bit of a hurry to get to the airport, so we wanted to grab a quick and easy bite. The three of us agreed on Jimmy Max as it seemed to fit what we were looking for. At first glance, the place appears to be designed for families with kids. There is a children’s menu, as well as pizza-making tables on select days. I don’t have kids myself, but I’m sure my future children would love it here. The prices at Jimmy Max were above average, and the servings were also kind of small. The combination of the prices and the serving sizes makes everything seem fairly expensive. That said, the food was pretty filling despite the smaller servings, and we felt no need to order more than one item per person. Overall, our experience at Jimmy Max was fairly positive, and we would definitely consider coming back here should we ever visit the area again. – TL;DR version – Highs: Great for families; very stylish Lows: Above-average lunch prices; relatively small servings Bottom line: Prices aside, Jimmy Max is a nice place for a meal for people with or without kids. Final verdict: 3.6 stars(rounded up to four)

A-ok. The food here is always solid. Not super. The pasta fagioli soup was canned beans and lacked flavor, needed a lot of parmesan cheese and pepper. The meat pie was the pizza off the month and was too much in my opinion. The regular cheese pie is crispy and good. Paying $ 6 for a pitcher of club soda is kinda whack. This place is packed on friday nights, but dead during the week.

I was pleasantly surprised when walking in for lunch with friends to find this place renovated after so many years! Def an improvement! Looks more of a restaurant then a pizzeria. We ordered just a pie but i was a little disappointed. The pizza is usually delicious and perfectly cooked. When we received our pie part of it was burnt and it had flecks of burnt stuff on top of the pie. Thats why im giving 3 stars. Im not saying i wont come back. Ill update my review when i do.
