I hate to be an a$$-hole but lets call a spade a spade. I don’t know what other people see in this place the pizza is not good. I respect other peoples opinions however some people must have low standards. I went into Joe & Pat’s expecting great pizza, what i got was so bad I could probably make a better pizza with one hand tied behind my back. The prices where way too high for a slice that tasted like a moist Ritz cracker dipped in Ragu with a smige of cheese on top. Probably the thinnest pizza I ever had and I love thin pizza bot Joe & Pat’s was like a sheet of copy paper. Terrible experience all around.

I’ve been a patron for more than 50 years and for a pizzeria with NO parking it’s well worth the inconvenience. 5 stars for an unbelievable addictive taste. I should take one star away for one important reason. Fifty years? No free pie? Well, I still don’t give a sh@&’. Worth the money, worth the effort to get there. Worth it for the good taste.

It’s inconceivable that this place would average less than 4 stars. The traditional thin is simply flawless.

Great family owned place. Staff very sweet. Pizza is made like no other place. It’s fresh, thin, delicious and crispy. I’m a repeat customer.

A classic pizza establishment. Love the thin crust. I really love the vodka sauce. We also got a salad that I was very impressed with its freshness and the broccoli rabe was perfectly cooked. Very much enjoyed our experience here.

The best thing about this place is the young lady that answers the phones… Caitlin is her name… Very nice young lady

I have been eating at Joe and Pat’s since I was a little kid and their pizza never fails! I love their sauce. I ate there last night and got a plain pie(my favorite), a pie with prosciutto and an excellent arugula salad. The salad was so good I am trying to replicate it at home!

Great slices. Really unique oven allows for high volume of pizza coming out. Prices are a little high for the island, but it is worth it.

This was my second time ordering and I was hoping this experience would be better than my last. I was a little disappointed it wasnt. It’s not bad but it doesn’t live up to the hype in my opinion especially considering the price.

We picked up a pie for $ 10 so we decided we wanted a second pie and we ordered it for delivery. We are only four minutes away. They said it would be $ 19. Really? So we came to pick it up, and called it in before hand, 20 minutes later, a bunch of people walking out with their pies and we’re still waiting. Terrible. To be honest, the pizza really isn’t very good, and certainly not good enough to tolerate this crap. I’m glad I don’t live in this area.

The food is good, better then average so I can’t complain. But when you order a couple of pies and a salad and the bill is north of $ 50 it is a bit much. They do not rob, the price is on the menu, they just like to charge more. a lot more. What gets my goat is that even after they charge 30% more then every other place, they have the nerve to charge a delivery fee. That is plain rude. But in there defense the pizza is good; the pastas are a bit inconsistant – they range from moderaltely good to very good.

Flavor of the pizza was decent but pricy for how small and thin it was. I believe one regular slice is around $ 2.50 and we also tried the vodka one which was I believe $ 3.50 per slice. You would expect to get a decent size slice with a decent amount of dough. But no. The bread was incredibly thin and the slices were tiny. For a man, you will probably need about 5 to 6 slices to get full. We also tried the garlic bread and that was pretty much flavorless. Wished they have 2 Bros pizza here on Staten Island. A dollar per slice there gets you a much better deal

Man, these guys take themselves way too seriously. The quality has slipped and now they make you use their crappy ATM because they’re too cheap to offer the convenience of taking cards. I’m

The pizza is Horrible but the customer service is even worse. Ordered two slices and was looked at like we are homeless people from the street. If you want flat pizza that tastes like paper crackers come here. Be prepare for foul language from the front of the house staff. Go to Nonnas instead!

Disgusting. Just don’t come here. They have slices but they’re behind the counter and look like they’re days old. They warmed a slice and it was so burned, I felt like I was eating cheesy paper. Totally dissatisfied and they must be related to whoever gave them over 3 stars. Oh, and the service is the worst. Cashier was sitting at the counter eating soup instead of serving customers.

Best pizza on Staten Island! Love it here– we do mostly take-out. Have not been disappointed. To eat in is a bit more challenging, since the parking is street only and on Victory and Manor– very difficult.

I honestly don’t understand most of the previous reviewers reviews of this place. Maybe I shouldn’t have had such high expectations walking in however based on the other reviews I read their pizza«is the best around». I walked in before any sort of «dinner rush» or so I thought. Just about 4:30pm on a Monday evening. I saw a host/hostess stand that was unattended. I looked to my immediate right upon entering and found a friendly woman at a cash register. I said«just one, dining in» to which she politely directed me to the unattended hostess stand. I stood at the stand until someone«yelled» at a person sitting at a table not paying attention… Turns out that was the hostess, or so I thought. She rushed to the table I was to sit at and was already on her way back to sitting down before I reached the table myself. As we walked past each other she didn’t even say anything to me??? That was weird. Then, after reading the menu cover to cover about 3 times someone finally arrived… Great it’s the inattentive hostess!!! Here is how our first conversation went. WAITRESS– can I get you a drink? «oh you have beer, what kinds do you have?» WAITRESS– oh you know, we have all kinds of beers. Anything you want really. «Ok… I’ll take a molson Canadian WAITRESS– oh sorry, we don’t have that one. We only carry American beers. „Ok, I’ll take a Yuengling“ WAITRESS– like I said sir, we only carry American beers. „Yuengling is Americas oldest brewery. Look… Do you have a beer menu I can just look at or can you just tell me what you DOHAVE??“ WAITRESS– oh yeah, I guess so. Here you go… Really!!! Then I ask a simple question. I say „I’m sorry, I am not from around here. I see reviews online rant and rave about your vodka pizza. What is a vodka pizza, I’ve never heard of it before“. WAITRESS – I can’t like describe it. It’s like sauce but really good. I just… I can’t put a word to it but I think it’s made like with cream… Heavy cream and some other stuff» Ok??? I order a pizza half vodka, half one of the other specialties. I also order what they call Buffalo wings. By the time the wings arrive she drops them off, seeing my beer empty and at the end of the table she says nothing, drops off the wings and leaves. A while later, after eating my wings(if you could call them that but I’m bias being from Buffalo) flag her down. I ask for another beer. She seriously said nothing and retuned a minute later with my new beer… Gee thanks. Finally, the pizza arrived. Not an unreasonable amount of time I just have not had the most pleasant experience so far, so I’m a little annoyed. I try a slice of the vodka pizza, then a slice of the specialty(pepperoni, meatball, peppers). It was pizza… Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t all that great either. The vodka didn’t really taste any different and the specialty had way too many toppings on it to actually taste anything other than the toppings. Honestly completely unimpressed with the pizza and horrible service. Then I get the bill after being completely done eating waiting for the waitress to address my existence for what seemed like forever. 52.30!!! Really??? For what???(2 beers; 1 domestic and 1 import), «buffalo» wings, and a pizza. I looked at the itemized bill. For my Sam Adams(domestic) it states on the menu DOMESTIC4.50, IMPORTS6.00. She charged me for two imports. Examined the rest of the bill… She charged me too much tax too on her hand written receipt. Then I give her my card only to be told it’s cash only. Maybe I’m blind but no one mentioned anything about this to me, never saw a sign or anything on the menu that said anything close to cash only. Needless to say I will not be back.
