So since they don’t feel the need to actually carry their advertised specials have started going to Stop & Shop(highly recommended on Forest Avenue less than two miles away). I needed some red food coloring and eggs to make a red velvet cake, I went in again, to my utter regret. I understand they had a problem with a homeless veteran who was escorted out. I understand, things happen. What I was unprepared for, was the four staff members, including the owner, take him outside, where he was forced to the ground, in the street and punched, hit and kicked until he was bleeding. I called the police and waited until they showed up. Since the owner thinks I am a problem because I ask that they actually carry their advertised specials, let’s all take the advice he gave me: SHOPATWESTERNBEEF. This city and this neighborhood have an issue with persons in need, but that shouldn’t be a reason to assault them. I don’t recall any time where I have seen employees beating the customers at any other business.

Check the expiration date on all dairy products there I had to bring back spoil stuff numerous times. Plus unlike every other store they give no rain checks which sucks, they want u to keep coming back everyday to see if they have the item and if they don’t have it the day the sale ends they might give u one. I don’t buy meat from them either cause meat doesn’t spoil on the way home and the girl in the meat department claimed the meat was fresh when I left half an hour before plus they were so rude

This supermarket is very clean and their staff is very helpful and kind they have a great selection of produce and have a large variety of cheeses from around the world. They have a free parking garage which is a big plus(because let’s face it on bay st. It’s very annoying to find parking) and a tall husky manager helped my wife and I to our car and even gave us 32 liters of soda as a thank you(I guess it was because we made a large purchase) but all in all a great place to shop

Horrible experience happened here to my lady friend. She is a regular in our neighborhood and went into this store to purchase a soda 3 days ago. The manager at the time(a tall guy with light red hair and an accent) hasselled her, insisting that she had shoplifted and stolen items were in her bag. My friend(in her early 50s) has no history of shoplifting and we think she may have been stereotyped by the manager since she was wearing ripped jeans. He told her that her crime was caught on camera and made her wait in the back room, all the while yelling at the top of his lungs and another store employee stood around giggling. He refused to look in her bag, but kept insisting that she had some of his items in there, which she did not. He called the police on her, but just as they were entering the building he told her to get lost. She was shaken up, insulted, and obviously will never shop there again. Neither will I.

Great new store good to have more options in the neighborhood. They have a great deli and good weekly sales. The reason I keep coming back is the customer service and cleanliness. The only negative is that the parking lot is underneath the store so you have to walk around to get in but then again a little exercise never hurt anybody lol!

it was a great shopping experience, everything looks new and clean. employees are really helpful. i found everything i needed, the only thing that wasn’t that great was that i had to walk from the parking lot around to the front entrance of the supermarket because there is no direct access from there. overall i think its a great addition to the neighborhood.
