Kiddie Academy of Staten Island – Great Kills

Our 2 year old son just started here a month ago and loves it. He was at another SI daycare since he was 3 mos old so we weren’t sure how he would feel about moving but he didn’t skip a beat. It is a new school (opened just a few months ago) so everything is brand new and clean looking. The school has webcams that you get access to and you can also give other users access such as grandparents (which my whole family loves). I know some places charge extra for that feature but here it is included which is really nice. They also use the Tadpoles program (same as his old daycare) where they send pictures and the child’s «daily report» showing his eating/​sleeping/​diaper times and what he did/​ate throughout the day.
The tuition is very reasonable compared to other daycares we looked at. Not sure why it says open 6:30 — 6:30 here but it is really open 6AM-​7PM which we like since most daycares open later and close earlier. My husband and I both work in Manhattan so it provides us some relief knowing we don’t have to worry about late pickup fees since we can definitely make it by 7 but 6:30 was once in a while tight for us at our son’s old daycare. The owner and director are very helpful and give great service. The teachers are all really nice as well. I like that it is a franchise so it has a lot of resources but this particular daycare center itself has a warm, family feel to it.
