The UPS Store

soooooo, unfortunately i returned to this horrid place due to the fact that my pre paid return label was a ups one. (i would NEVER choose ups over post office). I walk in, with a package in my hand, old cranky evil owner is at counter and point to the scale on the counter. No hello, how can i help you or even telling me to place package on scale. Literally just points. So i put the package on the scale. As he’s about to scan it he YELLS at me let me show u something and proceeds to laugh because the label is in face for the post office. I am not an expert in shipping services and the label had ups on it. He screamed that because it had the word «mail» after it, it meant it was post office. I find it disturbing that a man in his 70’s maybe even 80’s thinks its ok to speak to a young woman like that. Actually disgusting. lets hear your bs reply on this one old man. As i walked out of the store i yelled back that i never met a crankier more evil person in my life where he replied «yea thats right»

Poor and rude customer service. The person over the phone sounded like they were yelling at me and I practically had to drag every answer out of the person.

I’ve been here only once and hadn’t the luxury of meeting the owner everyone raves about on here. With that being said I only had to drop off a prepaid box and was in and out. I was greeted by a friendly young lady and took a peek around the store and wasn’t disappointed.
I’d try it out again if I have to.

The guy Ed seemed pretty nice to me. Opened up a mailbox and explained everything to me in a friendly understanding manner. Don’t know what the reviewers below me experienced but it wasn’t a 1 star experience at all to me.

I like them. I managed a UPS store for years and despite my disliking UPS in general for the crap they put the stores and workers through, I have had nothing but positive experiences at this Great Kills location. They charged $ 1 for a lamination and $ 2 for a 12×12 box. Those prices are cheaper than staples and my old locations PLUS it’s a great location.

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. I was there today mailing a brown paper envelope that weighed close to a few ounces to California. I tols them I didnt care when it got there. After they printed out a receipt, I got charged almost $ 11.00 and questioned the old man and lady working there and he tried to justify it by saying «sending something next door costs $ 8.00 and your paying to have it tracked.» This guy is out of his mind when the post office would have been only a few dollars. I won’t spend a dollar at that store I can assure you… ever! Stay away from this UPS store…

I should have posted this when the events happened but better late than never. On two separate occasions I shipped two big ticket items out of this location — a $ 3,500 camera and a $ 1,000 mac book. The packages were sent to separate unrelated parties in different states. Both times the boxes arrived empty. I had to fight UPS headquarters to collect on my insurance but finally got paid. May not be this location but twice is a pattern in my book. I WILL never ship anything with UPS again.

This guy was the WORST ! DO NOT GO TO THIS UPS store !!!
i went there a few days before christmas to mail a small package, when it went up to the register and told him what i wanted to do he said fine and started to process my shipment, as he was ringing me up i was looking for a small piece of tape to seal the box, i couldn’t find the dispenser on the counter so i asked him, Wheres the tape ?
This crank pot looked at me like i asked him for his FIRST BORN !
he then went into a whole performance and played dumb like he couldn’t understand why i was looking for tape in a «UPS SHIPPING AND PACKAGING STORE «he told me what tape? , i got no tape, very nasty ! …at first i thought it was a joke, i replied to him. every shipping store in the world I’ve been to has some type of tape dispenser on a counter of some sort… after that, he then point to his little wall of supplies he sells… i said what do you want me to do. . he said i sell tape. .! i said all i need is a 5inch piece sir, he said no… so like i said earlier it was Christmas week, i had to get this package out and was already running late for work, i said to myself whatever, so i turned to the wall to grab tape…and sure enough all this GRINCH sells is big rolls of tape attached to those plastic tape dispensers, I mean really !!! this guy made me buy this whole thing for a small piece, what a joke…so after i was done taping… in front of the whole store i yelled out to him.“DO ME A FAVOR TELL ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS TODAY MERRY CHRISTMAS, TAPES ON ME TODAY !!!, and i tossed the roll on his counter and walked out. .a couple of the customers in the store were laughing because they seen how rude and miserable this guy was… UPS should investigate this fool and give him some customer service tips. WONT BE BACK THERE

Why is this guy so angry? I don’t get it and it’s real uncomfortable watching the way he treats employees including his wife. Life really isn’t that bad dude, you should try it.
