So I came here after a long day at work because I was tired and didn’t want to go to my usual place. Big mistake! Pedicure with no massage! It was like she was washing my legs. And when I gave her a 20 and asked for change she gave me a ten and two fives, expecting a $ 5 tip. Umm no. After I left, I noticed she didn’t remove all of the previous color from under my big toe nail. Never again!

I’m from queens and just recently moved to the area. I was shocked to have to fork over $ 30 for a non-spa mani/pedi. Is this standard for Staten Island??? Anywho, I was really put off by the unfriendly and snobbish attitude among the workers. The kicker was when I gave my nail technician a $ 5 tip, she did not even say thank you! Who does that? Then after the job, she did not even go out of her way to take off the tissues between my toes or give me the standard quick neck massage as my nails were drying. Very rude atmosphere, I gave a friendly«goodbye» as I left, and sure enough, no one returned the salute. This is one disgruntled queens girl who will not do business again with VENUS nails!!!

I haven’t been to this place in years because I used to get LCN done at another place that was cheaper for that. But stopped doing gel or acrylic and now I just do a regular mani & pedi and decided to try this place again because of what my sister told me. What I like best about it: Nice staff, plenty of parking, and easy to get into in a Sunday and, from what I heard, Saturdays too but you might want to make an appointment anyway. Normal prices, granite tables at the mani stations and high tech pedi chairs, too. But I LOVE that they line the pedicure tube with a plastic liner so that your feet are in its own sanitary condition GUARANTEED. What I wasn’t a fan of: the tools they use to do your nails weren’t cleaned prior to using them on me. I saw dust and dead skin on them from the previous client. And the air condition was not working well so it was warm in there. And my mom, who goes there regularly, said to been like that all summer and she thinks the owner is cheap. That said, bring your own tools and an iced coffee and you’ll be totally relaxed. I’ll be going back again with these two things in hand. It’s worth a visit.

I went here two days ago to have my eyebrows done. I told them thin and straight. the girl I think might have been new but she waxed off the end of my eyebrows and waxed under my brow two times to get it right. They should know to only apply the wax once or you can bruise the skin and burn you. This is what happened. I left with them both burning but thought maybe it was going to be ok. Then I got home and saw the bruises on both eyes. My one eyelid turned purple underneath too but now I still have two bruises that are scabbing under my eyelid, looks horrible and I’m going to a party tommorow too. My daughters brows came out great but a different girl did hers. I will not be going back. In pain still.

I went here with my daughter and her friend and the got mani and pedi’s and I got a gel manicure. I was so upset with the outcome. My gel manicure was done horribly and one of the girls that did my daughters toes looked like she was drunk! Don’t go here they have snobby people here and don’t care for there customers! I was outraged and I never will go here again. If you have kids DONOTTAKETHEMHERE. I cannot believe that people actually still go to Venus based on the service!

I bought a $ 15 groupon for a mani/pedi at Venus Nails. I thought the place was clean and the service was good especially for that price. I will likely go back with or without a groupon. The only downside is that they didn’t have good Verizon service so I couldn’t play WWF while getting my pedicure.
