The environment is very lay back. The waitress was pleasant but very slow at getting and putting in our order. The food was average but very pricey. The no free refill policy just put me in a bad mood. I will not be dining in this establishment again.

Today, I went here to get a bite to eat while waiting for my laundry. My husband had two slices of plain pizza, my daughter had the buffalo chicken roll, I ordered the famous crabby bread. Everything was cold, especially my crabby bread. Sent it back, came back out hot but overload on garlic and barely any crab. I have noticed that this place is just not consistent on the food preparation. I have gotten the crabby bread other times for dinner here and it came out with a full loaf of thick Italian bread, lots of crab and cheese, very toasty and gooey, delicious. Today, it was blah. Another time when I ate here I had the calamari with my husband, it was so good, tender and delicious, not greasy or oily, then one day I ordered the calamari to go, it was so oily and chewy, and the sauce was burnt tasting. The whole thing went in the garbage. It dissapointment me that when I asked the girl today if they changed chefs, she said the owner made the meal. Over all, not good, will be going to dunkin donuts next time to wait for my laundry

Ordered last night for deliver by the way was here super quick about 30 – 40 mins which was surprising being it was dinner time. Ordered a pizza and a veggie wrap and baked clams and a meatball palm hero. Came out to be around$ 38 – 40. The meat ball palm was great and the kids loved the pizza and the wife had the veggie wrap which she enjoyed! Baked clams were good just a little to well done on the bread crumbs but all in all very good quick delivery and I ordered online. I’ll come back to try something else.

This is one of my fav neighborhood pizza places before finding out I needed to cut gluten and dairy out. I just decided to order/try a gluten free pie to take out tonight, it first came out with cheese, which I mentioned no cheese while adding a bunch of veggies and some pepperoni, the second time it came out I noticed the eggplant is breaded(whoopsie), and my mushrooms were missing. Travesty, but I’ll get over it!!! Despite all this, the pizza is delicious, I’m glad I can find a pizza that fits my dietary restrictions so close to home. The staff was accommodating with the first mix up but I saw the second one on my way home, so I picked off the eggplant manually and went to town.

Ordered delivery of potato and eggs with fresh mozz, mozzarella sticks and a side of PLAINNOSEASONINGCHICKEN. Get the food, no cheese on the hero, the chicken is drenched in seasoning. The only thing right was the mozzarella sticks which weren’t good anyway. Not worth the 15 – 20 min on the phone with a confused girl just to get the wrong order. Last time ordering here

Pizza and service is good. Never had a problem here. If anything, pizza is better here than other places.

Pizza was run of the mill, barely any sauce, all cheese. Extra star for nice staff but c’mon guys there’s great pizza out there like Nunzio’s. Lee’s Tavern and Joe and Pat’s, step up your game! A good sauce and the right amount of cheese is what makes a good pie!

Food was excellent. Our waitress was great and the kids had a blast making their own pizza. We will definitely go back.

I recently started to follow a gluten free diet and was searching for a good gluten free pizza on Staten Island. Look no further, it is at Jimmy Max. It is really delicious. It might even be better than regular pizza. It is thin and crispy and honestly it is hard to tell that the dough is not regular pizza dough. $ 10 for a personal gluten free pizza is well worth every penny.

This is the first in a series of Staten Island reviews I’ll be doing, based on my «Staten Island Adventure» with Jill R. and Rebecca G. We came here at Rebecca G.‘s suggestion. This is in a strip mall area not that far from where she both works and hangs her hat, and we were kinda in an Italian-y mood after the rather large post-work journey we had taken to get out to the Island of Staten. Rebecca gave this her seal of approval. You guys don’t know her, but that –means– something. When we came in, there was this elderly couple they seated us right next to. I immediately felt like my presence was somehow ruining their quiet, romantic dinner(we actually were pretty exhausted and hungry coming in; so not that loud really). Some other people came in not long after us, but I think it’s a testament to how community-like of a vibe this place gave me. Maybe that old couple goes there every Saturday night. It makes me happy imagining that. The food itself was really good. They split up a two different TYPES of pizza for Jill and Rebecca. I myself got chicken parm, a the litmus test I hold every new(for me) Italian restaurant I go to. And? It was good, guys. And substantial. Couldn’t eat the gigantic plate they gave me and I was hungry like a fat kid. We also got these rice balls that Rebecca really wanted. Those were totally worth getting. The waitress was the nicest thing I’ve had in years. She made me never want to leave. The book also was really cute, and had some sort of arm tattoo I wanted to ask him about but was too shy. It’s adorned with kid drawings from a local school. There’s so many things that made me like this place that I’m now gushing and I have to STOP talking about it.

This place is nothing special, barely decent food without one touch of originality menu wise. The customer service here isn’t that great and it is quite apparent that the staff don’t care too much about their jobs. There isn’t much of a chance to find good pizza in great kills, and you definitely won’t find it at Jimmy Max. The best thing i can probably say is their vodka slice isn’t so bad.
