Got a small rice and beans and a small stew chicken for $ 6. This was more than enough for one person. The food was fresh and tasty, with very tender chunks of chicken. I’ll be back.

HORRIBLEOWNERSHIP! Went into the location on Richmond road with a gift certificate that i purchased. Waitress informs me that«the owner no longer accepts these». When I explained how it was already purchased and that’s bad business and customer service. The owner said in Spanish«that’s fine I don’t care» little did he know I understood Spanish. Called their new location on Richmond Rd twice, first time they ran out of rice. How can a spanish restaurant run out of RICE??? Second time i call for delivery at 7 pm, they tell me no more deliveries, when menu clearly states until 8 pm. People yelling and screaming in background. Totally un professional. Im done never again. Would not recommend this wanna be restaurant!

On the way to Staten Island on the job and colleague kept going on and on about this place. In fact she raved! No exaggeration she said she thinks about their pulled pork at nights and couldn’t wait to get back so this was our first stop as we got into SI. What a build up she gave and as I walked through the doors the smell that greeted me made me silently pray she knew what she was saying. People! I urge you, ignore that smell. Mind you it isn’t a foul smell but I guess the mixture of so many different meats and food made me a bit queasy.(She later admitted the same). Pork lovers get the pulled pork with whichever rice tickels your fancy. I had the rice and peas while she opted for the yellow rice. After tasting both she said the(brown) rice and peas won. The pork, no let me pay it the respect it deserves… SIRPORK she did not do you enough justice! We were allowed to tell the server which parts of it we preferred and my personal feeling on pork is if it ain’t fat it’s beef. Lean pork? Naaaah. Lol. So I chose my skin, not the fatty parts below and a bit of lean. It was soft yet firm, juicy yet dry, spicy but not overpowering, well marinated. Pork haven I tell you! And they packed our containers! I had breakfast AND lunch from this meal the following day! Maybe I’m a bird eater because mama ate all hers. Lol. Please, if you’re a pork lover like I am, see beyond the look of this shop. It’s a bit too run downy for my taste because after all it’s FOOD you serve here but judging from the accents and language I take it it’s an authentic Spanish joint. We obviously did takeout. Two stars are ONLY for the pork meal and one for the nice servers. The End

REVIEWFORTHENEWRICHMONDROADLOCATION– Was really happy to try the new place out, even left the house in my pj’s on a Monday night to do so. Get there a little after the dinner rush, and all the food is dried out, all the rice options had beans in them, and nothing was labeled. But that is not what made me furious, what pissed me off was all the credit card signs in the window, and when I went to pay with card, I was told it was cash only. But not one cash only sign was displayed, anywhere. This is not cause their card machine was out of order. It was because it did not exist. It’s 2015, run a business like it is. So instead of searching a horrible neighborhood in the dark and cold, I left my order on the counter and wished them luck for after this place closes.

Excellent Spanish food. Cafeteria style place with some tables. The food is in steam tables so it is fast. The kitchen is always bringing out freshly prepared food. Lots of food and easy on the wallet. I have stuck to the basics like rotisserie chicken and pernil(pork). Always happy with my meal. I think the food here is a little better than at second location near SI Yankee stadium.

Definitely not a fan of this place. My dog could barely eat the food. Rice had no flavor the pernil was greasy. If you are going to go for fast Spanish the Dominican place on forest is the spot.

DABOMB This place is great and so delicious. Try the Rotisserie Chicken with the white rice and beans. too delicious. only 5 dollars. all home made, nothing bad here no watery attempts like the Golden Krust located across the street. This is my number one favorite place of all time. Try it and see for yourself. there is ALWAYS a line in there.

Staten Island is a virtual cornucopia of all different types of wonderful ethnicities all close to one another in fact on top of one another is more like it. Spanish restaurants run rampant and I’m happy to have found this place. A ton of Oxtail over Spanish rice & beans with a bunch of plantains for $ 8. Rice & beans cooked perfect under the juicy finger licking bone sucking Oxtail in a delectable non spicy auburn sauce. In fact nothing on the menu is over $ 9. Lots of platters heating & ready to be devoured. All your traditional Spanish/Dominican fare. Multiple soda & juices available. There are five 4 tops, cafeteria style. And as expected nothing in regards to ambience in a kinda seedy part of town, not that that ever stopped this big white boy before lol. Spanish music playing softly in the back ground. So unfortunately NO not a date night venue. Cheap, ample & about as tasty as it gets perfect for lunch. Oh yeah definitely worthy of a quick pop in for the budget minded that dig authentic Spanish cuisine. Cash only, BYOB bonus.

Cooked fresh to order empanadas have me sold. Other delicious items are the pernil, arroz con gandules, ribs and the half chicken. Big portions for a cheap price. I love the small family owned and operated atmosphere, very friendly and appreciative of the patronage.
