This library has a lot to recommend it. As well as being housed in a beautiful building, it also has an incredibly spacious parking lot-for those of you who are planning on driving there, which is probably most patrons. I’ve found the staff to be very helpful, generally speaking, and have never had difficulty finding a spot to study or read in quiet contemplation. On the other hand, for such a large library, it doesn’t have the most impressive collection on offer. That is what I look for chiefly in a library, and where, unfortunately, this one falls short. However, that shouldn’t stop you from spending a few hours there if you happen to be in the neighborhood and are eager to sit down and read for a few hours.

This is an almost excellent library. Love this place for all the updates, fliers, etc. on community happenings. There are computers there and you can print out your first ten copies free if you want to print during your time on the computer there. They have a computer lab open sometimes(not always), and they have laptops to use and you can also print out from those. Excellent selection of new books, and regular books. A good place to visit. Oh, the best part of it is that you have no trouble at all finding parking, no matter what time of day-when the library is open.

BOOKS. FREE. sweet. books are not«the internet for the poor» as someone once said. i love love love books. what is the problem with the library? quite simply put — i want! i want to own my books, so i’m sorry NYPL i don’t visit you often cause i am too materialistic. i was very very grateful for your existence when i was a kid, and would walk to the local library all the time to feed my budding book affair.
