They are quick to take the money out of your hand while forgetting half of your order which was clearly indicated in the receipt. Delivery takes over an hour and they dont even call to mention the delay. Now I remember why I stopped ordering from them years ago. Service is really really bad. Also, do not know how it is now, but years ago the place did not seem so sanitary either. Its really a pity because Staten Island should have a good bagel place. Maybe bagel boy will come here with an outpost.

Food is ok, nothing special. what gets me about this place is how unfriendly and cold the owner is to the customers who support her business! She will make eye contact with you as you enter and will give you a blank stare! No hello. No good morning. No nothing! Just that stone faced stare! The employees are friendly at least. As you pay and get ready to leave stone face will never say thank you or have a nice day. just that usual blank stare…

I originally gave this place a great review and was a loyal customer for a while but then things really started going downhill. It isn’t enough that they have good bagels the customer service here is almost as bad as Dyker Bagels on Seaview Ave. We picked up our orders there every weekend and then many times, we asked them not to toast the bagel and they did. Another time, we ordered a pick-up and got there 15 minutes later and the two bagel sandwiches we ordered were never made. It is very chaotic in there so if you don’t mind waiting around trying to figure out where the line is and dealing with attitudes from the women behind the counter then it might be okay. I just can’t deal with employees who are rude and clearly hate serving their customers. No thanks — I’ll be going somewhere else.

The service in this place SUCKS. The two female staffers serving you have a poor attitude and act as if they are doing you a favor taking your order. I also witnessed them bickering amongst themselves which made me uncomfortable being there. Their behavior is a direct reflection on the obviously incompetent owner. I have been there a few times because it is near my home. Their prices are also high for Staten Island. But once again their rude staff is the worst thing about this place. Hopefully the owner will address it!

Hands down the best bagel place on the island. Not only does it have great quality, but the flavors are awesome. In addition to standard flavors, they have cannoli, pastrami, funnel cake, espresso, etc.

Go to this place in person! Every time I order delivery they get it wrong and give me food that tastes like left overs! They give me a hard time over the phone every time and the bagel they delivered to me was hard and stale. Service is terrible. Awful!

My first time there, had breakfast, and I just finished. The food is ok, but their service is horrible. They’re always rushed, and they made a mistake on my order, and on 3 other customers orders. The owner was there too, and didn’t care to assist in any way. When I asked to wash my hands, they rudely declined and ignored my request as if I was asking for too much. They enforce a $ 10 credit card minimum, and they charge tax if you pay by credit card. Staten Island is filled with Bagel Shops and Deli’s… I’m not going back there.

Ordinary bagels. Awful awful counter service. They scream«how many?» Before you can say«let me…». It’s also absolutely filthy where they are cooking, never order cooked food unless you like stomach ailments. As for the outside seating. You never see anyone sitting outside or inside. They used to have a bunch of guidons sitting outside. They must have all been incarcerated or something cause they’re gone.

MEH. City price bagels without the city taste. Every time I seem to order I always get the stale bagels, they are hard as a rock, almost as if they were just defrosted. When ordering on the phone, the guys are usually on point and polite while the girls seem to be in la la land and sound annoyed at you that you even called.

I would have loved a cup of coffee. I would have loved to try even a plain bagel. But two registers and a large staff I waited on a line for 25 minutes on a Wednesday morning after 11am. There seems to be no direction in the layout of this establishment by a manager of sorts who can keep an eye on the whole of the business. Patrons can not even serve themselves coffee while they wait which shows a serious trust issue for a small town bagel shop, they actually need to make it for you and they don’t even have means to keep it coming as coffee runs out as well. There is no register person at all. Everyone there seems to be operating in a cross trained atmosphere where those who prepare the food also ring you up, this is stupid and this only works in a single serve small shop. Orders should be taken and entered and passed along to prep and then back with the order and print out to be ringed up. Perhaps their food is good but I will never know because this establishment had issues getting food out the door. Patrons were leaving unserved. But who cares. At least there is the all important lotto machine.

The bagel flavors sounds good in theory but in reality they don’t live up to the hype. Such a disappointment. They charge Manhattan prices for a bagel the size of a frozen lenders bagel. Six bucks for a bacon, egg, and cheese? The kicker is… you need to spend a minimum of $ 10 to use debit and there is no sign anywhere stating this. Don’t even bother with the cookies and chocolate pretzels. Cardboard would taste better. Oh, let’s not forget that the workers are nasty. The Mexicans are drunk and will hit on you.

This place used to be great. However the quality of the food has severely declined. The past 2 times I’ve gone in there, ordering onion bagels they were almost RAW. The outside did not have a golden color or crunch and the bread tasted off. They definitely could have left the bagels in the oven for at least another 10 minutes. They no longer taste like NY bagels. It was just gross. A friend of mine got a roll and it disintegrated in her hands as she was eating it. It was stale as hell. I also purchased a Simply Limeaid. It’s August. The Expiration date was May 27. It’s obvious they do not check their stock. Stupid me to think their drinks would be fresh. By the time I realized it I was already long gone, and at work.

Always quick service with the best coffee. Never disappointed !! They do not skimp on butter or cream cheese. Quality is their middle name!

I ordered from this place a few times and although the food is good they messed up my order every single time or the food came ice cold. The girls working there do not understand how to write down the order properly. I mean every single time it’s the same problem. It’s unfortunate that it’s the only somewhat decent place around me.

The bagels here are really good, they’re made fresh at the store, they’re big and did I mention they’re really good? I usually have an toasted onion bagel with bacon eggs, and a large coffee, their coffee is also good, never had any of their flavored coffee. Service is good, never had a bad experience, and everyone is always friendly. The people giving this place the low ratings are probably used to Dunkin Donut bagels which if you know a good bagel know that those are not true NY bagels.

I’m new to the NY area(my car still has California plates), but breakfast and convenience are important factors for me and I really appreciate having this place so close to home(and on my route to work). I’ve been here three times and tried a variety of the bagels/sandwiches(all breakfast), and all were fantastic. I brought my boyfriend once and he asked for Taylor ham on his sandwich– which is apparently a «thing» here on the East coast that I’m not in on. They don’t have Taylor ham. Feeling overwhelmed in my first visit, one of the employees got really excited when I told her to make a me a bfast bagel sandwhich, no rules. I’m not picky, so she gave me an amazing French toast bagel with eggs, sausage,(was that… Hollandaise sauce!?!), and cheese. I usually don’t mix the sweet with the eggs, but this was a fantastic breakfast. As fantastic as it was messy, but in my experience, the messy factor is equally proportionate to a meals delicious factor. There’s a reasonable coffee selection, and it’s pretty good. I only received a mildly strange look when I asked for no sugar, nonfat milk in my coffee(yeah, I save sweet for dessert– not breakfast). I don’t drive to work that often, but when I do, this place makes it worth the toll to cross Verrazano. I just wish the parking was easier. I usually get lucky and grab the one space that’s available, but, with more parking, there’d have been at least one more visit in by now.

Okay so this place is not just bagels, it’s bacon egg and cheese bagels! And by bacon egg and cheese I mean as a bagel it self not just an accompaniment to the bagel! But this a great place to go to weather it be breakfast or lunch, in addition to bagels they also have cold cuts and what not for lunch too. The do have outdoor seating, great for the nice weather. Overall, def someplace worth checking out.
