Came here a couple of weeks ago, service was good, not over top but absolutely nothing to complain about. The place is a little tight and gets really crowded. I ordered the Guinness burger which was very good. Burgers are extra juicy which I loved!

Cool Irish bar in the middle of S.I. Love the décor with the books lining the shelves behind the bar, the boxers emblazoned on the walks, and the amorphous wood bar… definitely locals which is cool. Barmaid was pleasant, attentive and pleasant to look at. Many TV’s in front of you to watch good sports. The menu is plentiful with food goodies. I had the Irish eggrolls which were a nice twist to an Asian treat and the ooey-gooey cheesy Mac and Cheese was to die for… felt like I was gonna give birth after eating all that, but nothing was left. All in all a nice find in an area that is challenged with decent eateries… Will definitely return when in the area. Thank you O’Neill’s!!!

I’ve been to this restaurant several times over the past year or so and everything had been wonderful. Servers were great — nice, friendly, always with a smile. Food was delicious, fast and hot. This being said, I went last night with my kids and service was horrible! We got there about 7:30. Not overly crowded but definitely a fair amount of customers. Waitress comes about 10 minutes later and takes our full order. Mac and Cheese(hands down the best I’ve had in years) and burgers. 30 minutes later, we are still waiting. I ask the waitress and she checks only to discover that she never put the order in(or printed in the kitchen so she says). She was apologetic so I am understanding. She brings us another round and tells us we are getting free deserts. She arrives with the appetizers and then we do not see her again for the rest of the night. But she was there when we left so it wasn’t a shift change at 9pm. Never got our burgers and no desert! So much for RUSHING the order. VERYDISAPPOINTED in a place I had come to know as a «go to» favorite! Food is very good but service needs improving. I wish I could have given this place a better review.

Good staff and solid food. I like the burgers there. They are very accommodating to my gluten allergy. I rather go here than go to a diner for sure.

Good food, great staff, and one of the few bars on Forest Avenue that serves Guinness on draft. Love this place.

I wouldn’t complain about prices for good food but this was a bit excessive. Shrimp wrap with avocado = $ 14. There was 2 pieces of shrimp in each side of the wrap. And the shrimps were not that big. The wrap was mostly bread. It would have been acceptable to me paying that for a bit more shrimp. Even if it was two more pieces. My boyfriend got Linguine with garlic and oil = $ 15. I just think that was a bit much for pasta with no meat. It was overloaded with oil as well. I really wasn’t impressed and very surprised at how pricey the food was for the little that you get. The place is very loud, which I personally don’t care too much about but the service was mediocre. We waited about 10 minutes after sitting to be asked for our drinks and the waitress came to ask us if we needed anything only once within a he duration of our stay. It just seemed as if there weren’t enough waitresses for the tables. Probably won’t return again. :(

I love O’Neills! I love their cool library décor and it’s clean! I only tried one of their brunch items which was the steak but it was massive. I couldn’t finish it. Bacon was on point though– not greasy, perfectly crisp. I usually come here for a quick beer and drink time off peak hours which makes this place enjoyable. Ivs tried and liked their lobster Mac and cheese, bangers and mash, fish and chips, and had a couple of their burgers. I haven’t tried anything to complain about. The owner is very friendly and when we came by for some drink time on New Year’s Day he was so accommodating to me and my group. We didn’t feel rushed which is always nice.

We used the groupon brunch deal. For appetizer we had the Irish beef rolls which were super good. For entrees, we had the steak & eggs and chicken pot pie. The steak lacked a little flavor for me and was a little hard to chew but my boyfriend enjoyed it. So to each it’s own. My chicken pot pie was delicious, I haven’t had a pot pie in a long time, it was exactly what I was expecting, rich in flavor, fresh and yummy. Can’t wait to have it again. The service was good too, our waitress was very sweet and professional. Every time came on time and she checked in with us every now & then. Glad we found this on the island especially on the days I’m missing Brooklyn:)

Been there twice already, the joyful bartenders and waiters added to the atmosphere of an already great Irish bar.

Went there this past Saturday, based on the review in the 3⁄3 Advance article. I was craving a corned beef sandwich. Vey few people in the place at 1 pm My friend and I ordered wings as an app. I ordered the sandwich and he ordered the shepherds pie. The wings and entrees came out simultaneously. When I told the waitress that fact, she rolled her eyes toward the kitchen and said«I know». No apology, no offer to comp anything. Nothing. The wings were good, my friends Shepherds Pie was good. My craved sandwich AWFUL! The driest Corned beef I have ever had, if I hadn’t slathered it with mustard, I couldn’t have swallowed it. The«Rye» bread had the consistency of Wonder Bread. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Started off with a French Onion Soup that was ok. Split a cowboy burger, medium rare(grilled onions, bbq sauce) was dry, over cooked & actually bland. Split a New York Strip Steak Sandwich that was ok but still bland & mediocre. It’s strange to say but all of the food has the same consistent off taste. I won’t be returning, really what is so hard with making a decent burger. One will never know.

I’ve been here several times since the place changed over from the old Dugout bar. I really like what they’ve done with it as they’ve elevated from«dive» bar status to something a bit more upscale(and more edible food for sure). I last came on New Years Eve prior to a house party I was attending with some friends. They were able to easily accommodate a group of 10 of us with no problem at all. The waitress was fantastic and very attentive. Overall I always enjoy the food here, and their vegetarian options keep everyone in our group satisfied. I had the Dublin Works Burger — jack cheese, topped with jalapenos, sauteed onions and a side of thousand island dressing(which I’ll just use a small amount of on the burger itself). Burgers are always cooked well(when you ask for medium, it’s actually medium) and full of flavor from the accompanying items. Def a huge step up from the place that used to be here, and one worth checking out for either a night out or just a dinner and drinks. The bar area itself still try’s to keep the old«sports bar» atmosphere to it, so you can always just grab a seat and watch a game here as well

Had to write a new review only because some if the newest additions to the menu are out of this world! The chicken pot pie the perfect meal for the winter and recently had the Dublin works burger which is the best burger I ever had and ordered it numerous times already. The onion rings taste real fresh and done perfectly. The pasta dishes are also a must try, as hard as it save room for dessert and some real good Irish coffee with baileys

I was so impressed with this place! The inside is renovated beautifully with a warm finish. We were seated immediately. I thought our waitress was a little abrupt and less than friendly(which was a little uncomfortable), but thankfully, the food made up for that. To start, we had fried calamari and hummus with pita bread. Delicious! The fried calamari was crispy and delicious. The hummus was amazing! I feel like good homemade hummus is difficult to find and it was great. The pita was hot and yummy. We had burgers and I had a chicken francese hero with mozzarella and it was delicious! It came with a delicious sauce and such good fries! I was so pleased with the food here. I can’t wait to go back and try something else! Highly recommend. The only reason they lost one star was our waitress and the temperature didn’t seem to be regulated. It was very cold when we arrived and then became stuffy towards the end. Otherwise, I was very pleased!

Well, am I ever glad this place replaced the dugout. Came in for lunch and sat at the bar. Brian our bartender, was attentive and friendly. 10 beers on tap, ranging from Blue Moon Ginger bread to Stella. Had the beef barley soup, which was made from scratch and delicious. Fresh barley, vegetables and meat. The kale veggie burger was one of the best veggie burgers I ever ate. Fresh and homemade and not a frozen hockey puck. Served with sweet potato fries all for $ 10! The décor is Irish Disney chic. It’s a little bizarre, but a massive improvement to the linoleum tile lunch room feel of Dugout. The bar is a nice piece of reclaimed wood. The food could be a little more Irish, but let’s be honest the Irish aren’t known for their cuisine.
