These guys are great, they know their line if work. I have had a slow water leak in my basement walls for years, contractor after contractor, coming to my home, sealing the outside and repairing the wall. Sure enough, the damn leak keeps returning like a phantom. No clue where it is coming from, I decide to contact Paul Davis as they have years of experience specifically with water damage and restoration. These guys wasted no time, they didn’t do what all the others did, assuming the problem was from rain or a crack. They opened the wall and traced exactly where the leak was in order to properly repair it. Had I known earlier that it was supposed to be done this way, I would have saved myself not only money but a nasty mold issue. They traced the problem, solved the problem and fixed it like it never even happened… I can’t recommend them highly enough, thanks guys for finally getting to the bottom of my phantom leak.

Paul Davis of Staten Island was contracted by me at the recommendation of Liberty Mutual after my apartment suffered water damage. Floors needed to be stripped/polished, and walls needed repair/painting. The floors had to be redone because the first time the finish peeled off. The walls had to be redone because the paint peeled off within 6 months. Now again my walls are peeling about 6 months after the last redo of the paint job. It is obvious that the painters are not repairing the walls and prepping them properly after water damage before slapping on the paint. Of course my calls are not returned by Vince who is the contact person at the Staten Island facility. I am now faced with a 3rd paint job in less than 1 and ½ years and now I must pay out of pocket since all my insurance monies went to Paul Davis. First the victim of a flood, now the victim of shoddy business practices by Paul Davis. It should be noted that we needed to vacate our apartment. Workers did not show when they were supposed to and we were out of the City staying elsewhere, told to come home on a particular day because we would be able to sleep in the apartment and needless to say, the apartment wasn’t done and my family including our animals were stranded with no place to stay. I had to hussle to find someone to take in my cats and spend more money at a local hotel. Getting the apartment done from start to finish took forever and of course it is now not finished as the painting again needs to be attended to. This was and still is a truly horrible experience. Update … as of March 16, 2009 … my floors are literally peeling again … I will have to hire someone to come in yet again to re-poly the floors … whatever products Paul Davis uses … they are inferior … as is the workmanship.
