I went there for the first time and had a slice. Everything about the slice was good, but it was very bland. The texture, size, and thickness all good. It looks like it should be really good… but it is missing some key flavor that I can’t put my finger on. In the end, not a rewarding slice of pizza.

Horrible pizza that’s stale and old. It’s surviving cause it’s in a good location. However the food is tasteless and stale. No freshness about this place.

Food was delivered still hot pizza was delicious. Ordered a spinach roll and it was the best spinach roll I have ever eaten. The service was great and when I asked for recommendations on appetizers they gave. I ordered there garlic bread sticks due to there recommendation and it was worth it! So good!

$ 18.00 for 4 slices of average pizza and two drinks? Who am I? Tom Hanks? I can’t afford that. It was nice that they had an MK3 game in the back but it ate my 50 cents.

Yeah actually the worst pizza, the square is thick and dense, you can build a wall with it. The regular slice has an undetermined herb flavor maybe too much oregano or basil but not palatable.

Terrible. You’re talking Dominos style pizza. How this place has stayed in business for all these years is a miracle.

Ok place, ordered personal pies, steak fries, and a chicken and cheese on a pretzel roll. Pretty reasonable price. Chicken on a pretzel roll went straight in the garbage, had one bite and new it was very old. Pies were decent, for $ 5. Steak fries were subpar. Staff was nice. Place was old but kind of nostalgic, like a pizza place from the 70/80’s

Quick delivery! Good pizza and pasta. The small/personal pizza is good for two — unless you are really hungry.

Maybe I just got a bad pie, but this was not great pizza. The crust was sooo thin, but it was nothing like your typical thin-crust pie. It was okay, but it didn’t even taste like New York pizza to me. I’m from Brooklyn and used to a good size slice of pizza that can hold the weight of its cheese and sauce. This didn’t measure up. The sauce also wasn’t that good. The cheese was nicely melted, I’ll give it that. Still on the hunt for a good slice of Staten Island pizza.

Me and pizza have a special bond. We understand each other — the strengths and weaknesses, the good and the bad. Our lives are intertwined, and we believe deeply in each other. When times are tough, we support each other, and when times are good, we are there together to celebrate. And, even after all these years, there is still a real spark when we get some time alone together. And when I say«pizza» I mean this place — Pizza D’oro. I grew up blocks away from this place, and whenever I am back in the NY area I make it a point of coming here. It is simply the most divine pizza on earth, the standard by which all others are(or should be) compared. Chicagoans celebrate their deep-dish glop, and Californians believe that pineapple belongs on pizza. Hipsters think pizza should be topped with portions of whole tomatoes and cooked in coal-fired ovens. As Staten Islanders would say — whatevah. When you are ready for real pizza, this is the place. Oh, and it’s cheap, takes plastic, is owned by the same family for 40 years, has very friendly counter help and the interior still looks like it’s 1986. Five stars forever.

Haven’t been in awhile, but this was one of my favorite pizzerias on the Island. They used to have an eat-in special, large pizza and pitcher of soda, that was great. Good garlic knots, too. Nothing out of the ordinary here, but really good pizza. Nuff said. Next to a plaza with plenty of parking.

We were looking for a quick lunch and followed a fire captain’s car to this place. He for sure knew where he was going. The pizza here is great. They have an awesome dough and a good sauce. The staff is also super nice!

This place is a joke. First of all you walk in and the surrounding furniture and décor makes you feel like its still 1983. Also the pizza and food is simply dreadful. This place could actually learn a thing or two from dominoes, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns as I’d prefer a pie from any of these places rather than pizza doro.

Best part of my order was the delish fall off the bone spicy wings… yummy! I ordered a Sicilian slice it tasted a bit bland to me it was crispy but not great maybe if I would have ate it at the pizzeria hot of the oven it would have been great so this is why I gave it 3 stars but I would definitely order again just to get my hands on those wings. The delivery was quick and delivery guy was of a pleasant demeanor :) Also ordered a peperoni pie for the kids and they loved it. Hand tossed fresh made to order pizza not bad at all.

Rock solid pizza not the best but better than 9 of 10 pizza joints. Great crust, sauce is fabulous but could have used a saltier cheese. One of Staten Islands best.

Working here helps a lot, but you walk in and everyone there you can tell loves there job, the atmosphere is one that is hard to find especially with the fact that all food is prepared with genuine care. You want a hot pie, fresh out of the oven, wait 10 – 15 minutes for the best slice in the neighborhood.

I live in California. I am from Colorado. Clearly I’ve been living a life without REAL pizza! Pizza D’Oro is everything I dreamed of growing up/living in cities bereft of good Italian fare. My adorable boyfriend’s family(100% Italiano of course) lives down the street and jealousy immediately set in as I eyeballed the delicious white pizza, Sicilian slices and calzones. Can I have one of everything? $ 20 and warm friendly service later we had enough slices to feed four of us before a flight back to LAX.
