Shiny Nails

Love Linda, Sue, Annie and the whole gang! They treat their customers like gold. They know everyone by name and are so friendly. Oh, and they do lovely mani’s and pedi’s too!

I went there the other day because I was in the neighborhood. I got my own file and buffer and disposable bowl to soak my hands in. Regular manicure $ 10.50. Very friendly. Cute and big!!! I will def go back and my nails are definitely shiny.

I’ve been going to Shiny Nails (On Page) for a little while now and I’ve just never had an amazing experience there. Not one person in the salon can do a decent set of acrylic or gel nails with tips – they come out a mess and each nail is a different lengths. That being said I was forced to switch to gel manicures which were also a disappointment.
Two weeks ago I went in at 6:20p.m. and asked for a gel manicure and basic pedicure, they declined my services and said I was only able to receive a manicure. Ok, fine. Ten minutes into my manicure a gentleman walked in and requested a manicure and pedicure and they told him YES NO PROBLEM. I was so upset and asked my nail tech why and he said because there was only one pedicure girl and they let them leave at 7 p.m. I COUNTED THREE PEDICURE GIRLS!
My manicure was finished at the same time as the gentleman and they were shoving me out the door while he was getting comfy in his pedicure chair. To add insult to injury I paid with my credit card and there was no where to leave a tip, I asked my nail tech if I was able to tip on my credit card and he looked horrified as if I had called his some awful name! He said «yes I can do it but only this once»! Excuse me, I don’t HAVE to tip you! I always tip very well even when the scumbags in this salon treated me like my money was no good. I’ll never EVER return.
Beware of this filthy, rude, outdated salon!!!

This is my go to nail place. I love it here so much that I still go here although I moved to NJ. Yes, my nails are that important to me — plus NJ places just can’t do it like Staten Island and Brooklyn. Anyhoo — i have been going here for 10+ years and they never disappoint. Sue does my french light concept and i haven’t chipped or broke a nail in I cannot remember how long. And I am not a prissy priss — I work (a lot) and clean my house like nobody’s business (thank you OCD) plus do the unthinkable and use these suckers as tools every chance i get — better than my teeth right Dr. Caramico (the dentist)??? All the girls do great nails and pedicures but for the love of God please stop asking about the damn razor on the feet. Those have been banned for YEARS. Why Linda was doing it anyway at the risk I have no idea, but I am tired of hearing people complain incessantly while I am trying to enjoy my pedicure. No means No, Jeesh.

The staff is warm and friendly and greet you by your name. I have been going to them for about 6 years. The place is very clean and they do a good job. I highly recommend them.

Linda and the girls here are amazing. No matter how crazy they are they all hustle to get everyone done in a timely matter. They manage to hustle and at the same time you are never rushed. The prices are reasonable and the place is very clean. They always have the newest nail colors and have a large selection of gel colors to choose from. This is my favorite nail salon and I will continue to come here.

I went here on the reference of a friend before a concert. It was around Christmas time and I asked for the color black, the tech who did my nails kept asking me why I wanted black and not red or green. I was then passed to a second nail tech who continued the interrogation about my nail color. After finished, the price was comparable to other salons, the tech did give me a bottle of lotion with a tongue in cheek comment about my hands being to dry. The nail color chipped before I even got to the concert the same day. Literally, it chipped three hours after having left this salon.

Hmm not sure about this place anymore. The first time I came I had a good experience, but then a day later my nail chipped… Gel mani at that. I went back the same day to fix it because I was going on vacation. Thank god it chipped the day before vacation.
Went on Wednesday for a gel mani, today is Friday and pretty much all 5 nails are chipped now.
Wednesday when I went, my nail woman was so extremely RUDE. I realized my nails wouldn’t look good with a dark color because they had broke so I told her I was going to change my color. to a lighter color… This was before she put it on, so shouldn’t have been a problem. She tried to convince me to get the black color I was going to get… I said no, I don’t want that I hate short nails with black, then I picked my light color and she told me no! And then another and she told me it was ugly um what? What was it to her what color I picked even at all?. I was floored. She was just beyond rude and after I get my nails fixed it will be the last time I am ever in there. I don’t need to go back repeatedly for chipping when gel shouldn’t chip. This isn’t the first time this happened. Disappointed.

Maybe I’m one of the unlucky ones. But wow. This may take the cake for WORST manicure I’ve EVER gotten. Is this place for real?! Not sure what the Asian lady’s name was but she shouldn’t be working. At all. There were bumps all over my nails, and cuts — and there may have been more polish on my finger tips then my actual nail.
They’re lucky I was in a huge rush or they would completely re-​do my mani.

A smile and a friendly hello goes a long way with me. Of course quality service as well. I don’t get my nails done weekly, but every time I do go in, the owner Linda is cheerful. During the past 4 years, I have enjoyed going here. There are plenty of flat screens and magazines to enjoy. I would rather hear a tv than someone rudely talking on their cell phone because they’re bored with nothing to watch. When my daughter was young, she would rotate between the three adorable animal decorated pedi chairs. Linda is so sweet to the little ones. The mani/​pedis last a long time and the place is very clean.

The best manicures and pedicures on the south shore. You can’t make an appointment for pedicures so be prepared to wait.
This place is immaculate. I have had almost everything done here from waxing, to regular manicures, to gel manicures to pedicures. The quality is consistent no matter who you get but if you find a manicurist you like, you can make an appointment with them for gel or acrylic nails. Again, they don’t take pedicure appointments and the wait can be about 15 minutes. Usually I go in, give my name and run to get coffee at the coffee shop in the plaza.

This is my favorite place to get my nails done. I’ve been going for the passed two years religiously. I know it’s hard for a girl, but I don’t recommend going to this place on a holiday weekend. I would try to go sometime during the week if it’s near a holiday. They are just too crowded & too much in a rush when it’s a holiday weekend. I go every weekend to get a simple manicure which is $ 8.40. I try to go first thing in the morning on the weekend to avoid the weekend rush. I love all the ladies that work there. Linda is the owner, she always greets everyone by name. The girls that do the manicures & pedicures are all good. They can be a bit pricey when it comes to gel manicures or getting designs on your nails. I also like to bring my own nail polish, I feel like when I bring my own nail polish, it doesn’t chip as fast if I were to use their nail polish. It’s a nice, clean place. The parking lot is a bit crazy because there are other busy stores in the same lot.
