This is a great local bar. All of the bartenders are friendly. They will make great drinks without robbing you. They have a jukebox and shuffleboard. There are. A lot of friendly regulars as well as new comers. You will know everyone by the end of the night. They also serve some bar food, but not much. You can always order a food and have it delivered.

Want to talk about a magnificent dive, this is it right here! To be labeled an exceptional dive in my book is not something I take lightly. It’s about a warm inviting encompassing feel along with cold cheap drinks. This place has all bases covered and then some, right here in Staten Island. $ 3 drafts as cold as an arctic breeze and $ 3 basic shots, hello. 4 flat screens to catch your favorite game or horse race. Long shuffle board. Juke box always banging. Friendly environment, in fact upon my first visit I was offered 4 free Yankee tickets, I gladly accepted. No need for quiche or caviar here plus they don’t serve food lol, but guess what you’re aloud to bring food in and there’s several places within walking distance. Definitely predominately an older dude hangout, but all are clearly welcome. Next to the a train station and within some what close proximity to the Outer bridge. 14 or 15 seats at the bar. Fairly small, but nicely cozy. Yep this guy is a big fan and expect to see my checks in from time to time.

The talk isn’t some big fancy place that’s always packed, but to me it’s always been a comfortable place to have a sit down with friends when I’m out on the Island and not in the mood to sit in someones living room or travel the five boroughs to end up in a crowded place where I can barely hear my friend let alone have my order heard. I’ve gotten a fair mix of ages on different trips here, but generally its a slightly older crowd which is fine by me. I love the staff here, they’re friendly and make good conversation if you catch the right one, I even remember on one night here the bartender actually made pizza for the few remaining patrons a little before closing. I would say if your in the 21 — 25 age group and you just want to have a drink with friend you haven’t seen in a while then this is perfect. If you’re a member of an older age bracket and you just want to have a few drinks with friends and avoid a loader younger crowd then this is also the place for you. Oh and if you didn’t know it’s just outside of the Great Kills train station so no need to drink and drive, we’re all mature adults… I hope.

Has continuously been my Friday and or Saturday and or both hang out bar recently. A group of us go, and we have a blast. It is never over crowded and the drinks are moderately priced. Bar tenders are cool guys and they have a juke box with good tunes. Cash only. Be careful parking by the train. The MTA Police love to write summonses for all types of things.

If you’re looking for a good place to hang out with friends and have conversation, this is the destination. Most locations on the Island are full of either fist-pumpers and their greatest hits, or cover bands. Not here. No DJ or band will come through these doors. The jukebox is actually utilized in peak hours, allowing patrons a chance to set their own playlist, albeit briefly. This bar doesn’t accept credit cards, so come with cash. However, you won’t need much. The drinks are cheap — $ 3 beers, $ 5 mixed drinks in pint glasses — and buybacks are the norm. Shuffleboard for a buck, four flat-screen televisions, plenty tons of sports memorabilia scattered throughout the bar, a 24-hour deli across the street, train access, and a mixed bag crowd(usually under 30 on Friday and Saturday nights) make this establishment very welcoming. Like side of the bar says: Meet friends. Make friends.

Beer and shot type place. Neighborhood bar that’s rough around the edges in a good way. Regulation shuffleboard I believe is the only one on the island. I’ve had many good times here. Good bartenders, young and old mixed crowd, brand new flat screens, train is right on the corner. Hope to be back someday

They have cold beer, tequila, and Hot Fries. My kinda bar! No complaints from me other than the fact that they don’t accept credit/debit cards. It’s 2011.
