Stopped here for a quick slice on a Thursday night. The rude man behind the counter was burping out loud the entire time I was waiting for my pizza. Not even excusing himself or covering his mouth. When I got home I realized I had the wrong order & they forgot a slice they charged me for. Won’t be back here, messing up an order is understandable but a disrespectful, unsanitary employee is inexcusable.

I give them one star because they use to be a good restaurant. Now they are over priced with terrible food. I order out of habit and every time the food comes I ask why didn’t I order from somewhere else. Food quality has gone down hill, they are the only place that I know of that charges for delivery, no matter how much you order. It makes sense with the fact that the owner is an arrogant And rude jerkoff. Stay away.

I walked in for a slice. No one on line. Three guys behinds the counter talking to each other and not one asked me what I wanted. I decided to see how long they would ignore me. 10 minutes please. Far too many good places to deal with this hole. I went to the better place… Mona Lisa.

Good food. Especially the eggplant parmigiana. Very large menu with many choices. Barely adequate service. Bathrooms are dirty like a bathroom at a public beach. Low prices.

The only reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is bcuz the place needs some updating. But what lacks in design the chef makes up for it ten times fold! For Apps. The wings are crispy & hot, in other words perfect! You HAVE to orderThe cucumber wraps!!! The mozz & tomato is really good also. The pasta & specialty pasta dishes here are always Amazing. Speaking of which make sure you ask to see the specialty salad menu!! Recently I had Dan’s Pork chop. It was like eating a porterhouse steak grilled to perfection w/just the right amount of kick from the peppers. This is where the chef really takes pride in his work. I honestly didn’t know how how to go about eating it. Love food with an artistic flair. The staff is usually on point & friendly.

I wish I could give no stars… this pizzeria is the worst! It took an hour for a chicken roll and a slice, they had one table seated eating lunch and I was the only person waiting by the counter for food. The man taking orders behind the counter don’t even look you in the face, all the staff has absolutely no people skills. Rude rude rude Second time I gave them a chance had a similar experience the first time I went in, never again.

Went here for lunch today, our waitress Sofia was very friendly and attentive. I ordered spaghetti with vodka sauce and added some shrimp to my meal. To my surprise, it was actually pretty good! The pasta portion was a good size, the shrimp were huge. Mmm mm good!

Worst customer service of any Pizza place on the Island. They always make it seem like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to buy their overpriced pizza, which is average at best. I was there for the last time(and I can’t stress the last time enough) this past Wednesday night. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes with 3 workers walking back and forth behind the counter and not one of them even acknowledged me or the person waiting with me, and we were the only two waiting. I understand when restaurants get busy, but at least acknowledge your customers and say something like, «I’ll be right with you», or «Just a moment sir»… There are numerous other pizza joints on the Island that have better prices, better products and MUCHMUCH better customer service… It a shame anyone patronizes this place, you are here to serve customers, not to be praised for being allowed in your establishment…

I usually go here for lunch. This is a good location. I like the eggplant parm. The pizza isn’t too bad.

SHUTTHISPLACEDOWN. This«restaurant» craps all over the good Villa Monte name. My family went for dinner on a Friday night, there was a spoiled trashy 20-something at the table next to them. She was clearly there to start a problem with one of the waitresses. My Mother glanced over her way as she was yelling obscenities at the waitress and she looked at my Mother and said, «What the f*** are YOU looking at?» She started an argument in the middle of a restaurant screaming disgusting words at my family embarrassing herself. The owner of this craphole came over and had the nerve to approach my mother with an accusatory tone asking her«what the f*** is going on here?» And he didn’t even kick this little girl out! And he still had the nerve to make my family pay for their food. WHAT??? THISPLACENEEDSTOGO. The trash that occupies this«restaurant» is unacceptable. I have been eating at Villa for 25 years… I will NEVER eat there again. Trash.

For years I’ve sampled Buffalo chicken pizza everywhere I can. Villa Monte on Arden Ave just blew me away. Done as a thin Sicilian. First time seeing that. Enough mozzarella to taste the butteryness of it under the hot sauce, which nicely offsets *just* the right amount of heat. Crust is crunchy and light. Chicken was unbreaded and there wasn’t even any Bleu cheese on it. Absolutely delicious. In my mind the crown was held by The Pizza House on Arthur Kill Rd.(now closed, sadly) for the longest time. The King is dead; long live the King!

Eek Is right! Talk about rude staff and mediocre over priced food! Had to wait for the pie to come out of the oven(No prob) but as soon as we were eating it-5 mins later the pizza was as dry as could be, we could not even finish it because it was so bad. For 19.95, get off of your high horse, this is not Manhattan and you’re Pizza sucks, I do not understand how this place is so crowded let alone in business when the staff are all beyond rude, and they make a terrible pizza!

Horrible service every time all the time !!! Every time I come in it takes me 10 minutes to order because the people behind the counter are bullshitting. After the 10 minute wait to order it then takes 15 minutes to wait for my pizza that sits in the oven while the staff talks to each other and ignores the fact that they are at WORK. It should never take 20 – 25 minutes to get just 2 slices of pizza. Unfortunately this is the closest place by my house but I would rather travel the extra 5 or 10 minutes to another pizzeria. If your hungry and want to get a slice of pizza in less than a half hour you won’t come here!!!

This is the pizza place I grew up with, and having not been here for many years I wasn’t sure what to expect. But when I walked in it was like nothing had changed from my high school days in the late 1990s. They have all the same décor, tables and chairs. And probably the same guys working the pizza stove. They make a nice sweet tomato sauce which I enjoyed on my slice.

Mediocre food and terrible service! I called for a delivery at 11pm only because they are open late, not because their food is good. They say sure, it will be 40 mins. Guess what? They never come and never answer their phone. I would have had no problem going to pick the food up. Don’t just say yes and never come. This is the 2nd time this has happened from them. I’m not sure why this place is still open, let alone how they have 4 stores. The only reason I give them 2 stars, is that their food is tolerable.

Ahhh, square pizza heaven. Order the square, plain and well done and you will not be disappointed. If you order 2 squares they owe you a large liter Coke. Ask for it or they will not give it up, they treat it like Johnny Blue. Note:There is a restaurant and full service bar on premises. I rate the square in my top 10 and I am a native Italian Brooklynite.

Nothing really special here or that pops out that makes me wanna rave about. Pasta dishes are decent and I have had better in other places and I actually like the Richmond Avenue one better. The people that work here are pretty nice here though and for a late night meal I wouldn’t mind coming here. Plus I enjoy looking at all the big nice houses on the avenue while driving there.
