Paid $ 18 not counting tip for a Chicken Cesar Salad that wasn’t even good. Never again

Z-​One is super close to my house so whether it’s running over for a quick dinner, or a drunk 3am binge session. It’s never disappointed.
Staff are always friendly, have yet to have an order screwed up. There’s drinks if you want to keep the buzz going. And, just about anything you’re in the mood for is sure to be on the menu.
Some highlights: Mac ‘n’ Cheese Bites, Jalapeño Poppers with the Sweet Thai Chili Sauce, and the paninis. All no-​fail choices.
Did I mention they deliver– and rather quickly at that?
4 Stars because it’s a diner. But rivals, if not trumps Annadale Terrace by a LANDSLIDE.

Been coming here for years… actually took my parents and inlaws here to tell them we where expecting my daugther over 3 years ago… haha
Just went to eat tonight there… food was fast .hot & fresh…
Asked the waitress for the wifi password for my daughters iPad so she would eat in peace… said she would get it but never brought it over to us (oh well) …

Walked into this place at 5:30 sat at the bar no one came to serve us for 10 mins. First hint they had no bartender. I ordered a glass of wine and a draft beer and the waitress couldn’t pour a pint of beer. Bar was dirty and I couldn’t get a beer at their huge bar but she sure knew how to tell me happy hour was over in 15 mins. We didn’t bother to order food what would be the point. Ran out with no intent to return. This place has the word lounge in its name but that’s just not true just another dumpy diner.

Never really had anything bad here. Service is usually very quick for a large restaurant. Just had the pork chops today and they came out amazing. Would deff recommend this place if your looking for something other than a diner or usual restaurant for the same price.

Place is okay. Not the best. Food wasnt that good. Pretty upset. Ate alone here before school and wasnt to happy.

Went there to met a friend. It was mediocre at best. Go for drinks skip the food.

I’ve only heard good things from those I know about this place but I seriously don’t get why. I’ve eaten here, and Z two, a few times and I hate it each and every time. Only reason I even go is because my family thinks it’s quick and easy, since it’s right near the house.
The experience:
I just finished having lunch here and although the food was decent, it was really the only «highlight». Our server came pretty quickly for our drink and food order and then we really didn’t see her again. This seems to be a reoccurring theme every time I go. I am always so disappointed with the attentiveness of the staff when the restaurant isn’t even busy. My other issue this time was the party going on in the next room. We were sat up against the party room and were unfortunate enough to be there as a big party was going on. The music was incredibly loud and I felt like I attended a party I didn’t want to go to. Our whole meal was yelling across to one another. They kept the door closed but it was still very loud and whenever anyone walked in and out, the music got louder as the door got stuck open. I had to ask the bus boys on 3 occasions to shut the door so I could hear myself think. At one point I went to go to the bathroom to find that the only bathroom was located through the party. It was very awkward. Not only was it awkward, it was an inconvenience (for me, and them) as when I walked in, people were everywhere and someone was taking pictures in my only path to the bathroom so I had to stand there amidst people I didn’t know waiting to get across.
The rest of the restaurant experience is what you would expect from a diner. As many have said before, this place is basically a glorified diner and I agree. Nothing stands out as being great in any way from décor, manners, attentiveness, environment to food and drinks. Best part of my experiences at this place is when I leave.

I’m not a huge fan of Z-​One, but I do find myself going back for location and convenience. The name itself sounds weird, and almost gives off a futuristic vibe. In actuality, its fashioned as an upscale diner and lounge. Every time I’ve been here its had a ton of tacky holiday decorations. The menu is large and fairly unfocused, prices are a bit high, and the food is just okay. Portion sizes are quite big which is not a bad thing… several people in my party had extra leftover to take home.

Ate at this glorified dinner when it first opened some years ago. I was impressed by the décor– very pretty and has a grand look. You need muscles to pick up the menu. Great selection.
Just revisited again and was first struck by the «B» in the window. After changing my mind about 10 times on my entrée I decided on a Greek burger which was served in a pita with lettuce tomato and of course feta cheese. It was fairly tasteless. The side of Coke slaw was drenched in mayo. I know this place isn’t Greek owned because the rice pudding was gluey. I didn’t finish it. Wouldn’t go back. Not necessary

I had the worst experience here tonight. The service was terrible. It’s long but I want to tell you all exactly the experience I have so you can avoid this place!
We were seated and sat for about 15 minutes until someone came up. (I later found out this was the manager) he asked us if anyone had served us and we said no we’ve been waiting nobody even approached us for drinks yet there was plenty of people working and the place was empty. Finally our waitress came and took our entire order at once. The waitress was extremely rude and rushing us at all times. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was disgusting… It had a lemon wedge and and olive. Okay weird but I tried it and it tasted like vodka and tobasco, no tomato flavor at all. I didn’t drink it at all. The food was good although I ordered home fries and got a dry hash browns that were desperate for some onions or anything! The waitresses rushed our check and I let her know the Bloody Mary was not good. She commented «well I just had a table of 4 and they’re sucking them down» no apology, nobody asked if I wanted something else… She told me she was going to get the manager but she came back and told me they took it off the check. I never heard anything from the manager.
They double charged me and called the manager over and he didn’t say sorry to me Just showed the employee how to do it and walked away.
I myself am a manager and this was just terrible customer service. I will never be back to this establishment and I will tell everyone to stay away. It’s a shame because I’ve had great service at z two. The food is just diner food and there’s so many good diners on the island to go to instead.

Love it! Come here occasionally as it is very close to my house. Convenient and satisfying.

Breakfast alternative, the lunch platters are sooooo amazing! Dam you Unilocal, FORCING MORE VERBIAGE OUT OF ME!

We dined here in about December 2014 and we had a terrible experienxe. The incorrect order was served, the waitress was missing in action for 40 minutes. When I asked for the manager he never showed up for over 45 munutes, our drink glasses were not fill and lay empty for 40 minutes, and much more. I left a phone message for the semior manager or owner to call me but no call came. Avoid this diner at all costs.

If I could give this place no stars I probably would … While working over night me and my co worker stopped in for a quick lunch and to get out of the rain so we went in we know it’s a limited menu in the over night hours but that’s ok.
We get seated we are the only ones there perfect so we knew we would be in and out on our lunch break.
The waitress comes and she looks like she just woke up she was confused and disheveled.
We order drinks my co worker orders a vanilla milk shake. Her response is really ugh you are kidding me (I figured out she has to make it and she didn’t want to) so my co worker felt guilty and said never mind she said no I guess I’ll make it… Thanks a lot sorry for putting you out. I ordered a diet coke.
And the. I ordered a Cajin Panini. And holy crap it was horrible $ 14 down the drain. I took 2 bites and ate half the French fries and the cold slaw. When she brought the food she asked do you want anything after like dessert or coffee meanwhile she just put my food down I said I don’t know I guess not she said ok I’ll put the check down and then said no rush and then told me she needs a nap she only slept 2 hrs yesterday. She never came back to check on me to see how terrible my panini was there was no taste it was over done chicken was dry and oozing oil and grease.
Bill came and in my heart I still left a tip for what ever reasoning being she is there to make money and would have felt guilty if I didn’t.
But their food quality went down hill. And the service was a joke… I work overnights and I get everyone has a different situation I do my job this was horrible service of the server bitching about their job. Not cool.
If your looking for an over night snack skip this place as it went down hill… Or maybe you have to be drunk or stoned to enjoy it I don’t know maybe that’s why they have the club dinner room…

A nice place to go with a family with a lot of options to choose from. The food is nothing special, but is presented nicely and tasty enough for a casual meal.
I got the pasta primavera (as a vegan, one of the few things I was able to eat). It was delicious and the portion was perfect.
Our waiter was extremely nice and friendly, however, he forgot to bring out our starter and charged us for it on the bill. When we pointed it out he was deeply apologetic.
Food came out quickly and the atmosphere was calm and warm. Would come back!

Food and drinks are okay. The waiters and servers can mess up your order at times, but they fix it. Pretty busy on evenings.

This is not your average dinner. The tuna melt is huge and delicious. I ask for mine with mozzarella cheese and no tomato. I also like the florentine omelette with extra spinach. Service is quick and all staff is great. They also deliver and have a full bar. They have a dj on weekends.

Came here for a friend’s birthday dinner. I also had high expectations for the fries, heard they were amazing from my friends.
My friend and I got the California Burger and Penne Alla Vodka to share. The penne was good, the sauce was probably what fill me up. The burger was good too. The fries didn’t live up to it hype but it was different, it was crispy but light. My other friend ordered the fried calamari and it tasted pretty good too.

My husband and I went here for happy hour. The bar stools were all taken up, so we sat at a high top table. We hailed a waitress as no one seemed to be approaching us and then ordered 1 beer each and 3 appetizers. The food came out pretty quickly and a $ 5 each was a pretty good deal. The Kobe burgers, corn fritters and fried calamari were all good choices.
Now there were not a lot of people there, so I don’t understand how we sat with empty glasses for 20 minutes. Our waitress was standing in the corner using the computer. I eventually asked a bus boy for service. He got things for us pretty quickly. At one point, all the servers gathered together in the corner to talk, not one came to ask how we were doing.
I would go back, but would only sit at the bar since you can actually speak frequently with the bartender.
