Awful service and customer service. Drove a long way to get a part they said they absolutely had over the phone (I was very specific since i was driving a long distance) only to discover they didn’t actually have it. Their response… «oh well, guess I don’t have it» and they went back to work as if I wasn’t there. I generally use 3 other bike shops and they all are significantly more helpful.

I was visiting a friend in town, and in walking around, we passed a bike shop from which he purchased his road bike. I was not in bike-​buying territory, but I did need some gloves. I found a large selection and a very helpful employee. If I lived here, I would definitely be back to buy a bike.

About a month ago I got my bike out of storage. I took it to Black Dog Bikes for a tune-​up. They charged a very reasonable price and the service was good. Based on that I decided I’d be going back.
But then: I was riding around and my newly-​attached bike pedal FELL OFF.
Here’s where my experience veered from what I anticipated. I couldn’t find my receipt from earlier so assumed it would be a hassle to get repaired. Instead, it was repaired quickly, right then, no charge. I was so impressed by how it was handled that I ended up buying something just as a «thanks» for the help.
Awesome customer service. Highly recommended!
