Knuckleheads

This restaurant is awesome. I come here a few times a year and love the food and warm atmosphere. The owner is a wonderful human and puts a lot of care into the finer details of a proper dining experience. Ask him about the effort he goes through to make his veggie burgers! Which come HIGHLY recommended by me and my friends. 6 stars!

Nice little restaurant with great food. Had prime rib and it was tender juicy and delicious! We got to the restaurant about an hour before they close and yet the staff were nice and cheerful, they didn’t try to rush us at all. And the owner is so friendly, he even came out to check on our food.

Stopped here based on Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed. My daughter had a cheeseburger, delicious and perfectly cooked with a slightly toasted soft bun. My husband had the homemade veggie burger with sautéed onions and roasted red pepper aioli. Also in a delicious bun. I had the turkey Reuben with Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing on jalapeño bread. We ate every bite and loved it all.

Stopped here off 22S with my family based on positive Unilocal reviews. Knuckleheads is a real authentic country mom & pop restaurant. It looks very unassuming from the outside but the food is really good. I had a large garden salad with feta, almonds and cranberries and beef vegetable soup. My husband had the burger salad. The salads were very fresh, with romaine lettuce and tomatoes that tasted like they were from the garden and not pink styrofoam. I don’t usually eat much beef but the soup was delicious. So good that I was ready to order another cup but they ran out. One son had the chili, another had grilled cheese and tomato, another the Mac and cheese. The chili and the Mac and cheese were really excellent. The Mac and cheese may have been the best I’ve ever tasted!

A gem in the country town of Stephentown New York. It’s a must stop, you won’t go wrong. The food is great as is the service. (The daughter Ashley was our waitress and Bob’s wife helps out when busy). They make you feel like one of the family. We didn’t get to try the home made pies because we were so full from dinner, next time!

. Ask Ashley about ice cream. Squirrell décor. Weapons on wall. Nice service, many pickles.

Great little place! Food is awesome. You should stop there on the way back from Jiminy Peak. Great atmosphere. The pellet stove keeps you toasty! The family that owns the place is very nice.

Great food, awesome people, cozy vibe but service was slow. Would def stop by is you have some time to sit down and enjoy this awesome spot.

a nice little local restaurant. Food is basic, but good and a really fair price. they also have some great soups. Friendly staff, nice homely feeling.

We will definitely be back. This is the perfect country restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, the waitress had us feeling like family and the dinner was excellent.

My boyfriend and I stopped in afer a weekend in Vermont while en route back home to Brooklyn.
I had one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had! The chef (and I assume owner) ever came out and gave me a few tips to make them at home. Mike had a burger that he talked about all night. ;)
The server (who I forgot her name) was so nice and accomodating. I tipped $ 10.00 on a $ 23.00 check because she was so nice!
We will always stop in to Knuckleheads when passing thru!

Excellent food at a reasonable price. Nice choice of comfort food. Mac and cheese was outstanding. Salads were very fresh. Several turkey selections were delicious. Very friendly staff. Relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Great food and a wonderful server! My son says they have the best cole slaw even better then his grandma’s!

A casual eatery in upstate New York with lots of selections.
The food: Had the Turkey Club which was very good; the Veggie Burger which was also very good. The kids had a burger, and grilled cheese… both very good. My house salad was kind of lame; iceberg lettuce that seemed to be slightly discolored. No real healthy greens to be found.
As for the rest of the experience; service could have been better, dining room was a bit chilly. Several menu items weren’t available such as their house specialty (Hog Wings), and no soup at all… They don’t offer french fries either, which I found kind of strange.
First time customers, will be back to try the Hog Wings at some point. Hopefully I can reassess, and bump it up another star…

Great home cooked food served by the nicest, most consciousness server I’ve ever had. Even my son commented how nice she was. The root beer float was a blast from the past. The simple salad was fresh and crispy. I shared the sweetheart ribs with my daughter, which came with four tasty sides. The coleslaw, being my favorite. The ribs were very good and more than I could eat. My wife got a chees-​e-​mac that reminded me of my mom. I’m not related or even from the area, but they went out of their way to make me feel like family. I highly recommend.

Finally! A delicious food option in Stephentown!
My fiancé and I both had the BBQ Combo. Everything tasted homemade. Get the maple, bacon baked beans — phenomenal.
ALSO, everything tasted amazing, but was not greasy…
This is a must try…
