Crest Lincoln

Had a great experience buying my first Lincoln from Shawn Johnson at Crest. He was patient with me as I’m a slower buyer and put me in an MKX which was way beyond my hopes and at the price point I wanted to be at. I’m a mid 30’s man and the Lincoln that used to be the ‘old mans car’ is without question the most enjoyable vehicle I’ve ever driven.

So I just participated in the #LincolnDateNight experience and while I can’t comment on the service department or actually purchasing a vehicle from Crest, I do want to make a few notes about my visit.
I picked up the 2015 MKC on Thursday and left my car there overnight. Michael went over all of the features of the vehicle with me, and answered any questions that I had. When I returned on Friday he asked me my opinion, but not once did he turn into the typical pushy car salesman that we are all used to. While I’m not in the market to buy a car right now, he never asked anything cheesy like «so, what can we do to get you into this new car today?», you know, those lines that haunt you every time you even think about shopping for a new car. He gave me some ballpark prices and that was it.
However, when I got out to my car, that’s when the real magic happened. He had mentioned that they would give it a wash and put some gas in it, but I came back to my 2014 Subaru Outback with a full tank of gas, a nice clean exterior and a spotless interior! I have 2 dogs, one who sheds horribly, and my seats haven’t been this clean in a year! They truly went above and beyond, especially for someone who wasn’t even in the market.
When I do decide to start looking, I will definitely put them on my radar.

I went to Crest for a Lincoln Navigator I saw for sale, I got the info they needed for me and they sold the truck to someone else. Their service sucks horribly, I guess I’m highly disappointed no return calls equals disrespect.

I’m always extremely satisfied with my service… grant it the prices are a little higher because it’s the dealership, but I’d rather pay a slightly higher price for great work/​service than going to a neighborhood garage and getting crappy service/​work. Jeff is always friendly and provides great customer service.

This is a terrible place to buy a car! I bought a certified pre-​owned car from here and I’ve had problems since the day I brought the car home. The Service dept had an excuse for everything not working properly. They denied finding any problems. After taking my car to a different dealership they found immediate problems and my car had to be kept to be in the shop. This is a horrible place and it has caused myself and several people I know to never buy a certified pre-​owned Lincoln!!!

I’m very annoyed. Apparently Crest added me to a telemarketer list when I took my MKX in for service in November. I’ve received so many reminder calls about everything from oil changes to other maintenance and even the warranty expiring. My lease will be up before the warranty expires anyhow. I bought my car at Jack Demmer, and never received a single annoying call from them for 1.5 years. I’m going to file a complaint with
about crest.

Avoid Crest Lincoln at all costs! Not only is the service manager rude (as other reviews attest to), the service advisor is worse. He is extremely condescending; and good luck on finishing a sentence as he interrupts you constantly. I actually called him out on it and he didn’t care. Any problems you have with their service to your car will be turned around so that it’s your fault. I had such a lack of confidence with their service that I took my car to another Ford mechanic to have checked out. Sure enough, he found a problem in how they put the engine cover on (was pinching the radiator hose) and Crest said I had a transmission fluid leak (wanted $ 510 to fix) — guess what? — NO fluid leaks anywhere. They will take you for all they can get. Looking at the negative reviews that have been posted over the last few weeks makes you wonder why the ownership/​management hasn’t done an overhaul on the service department.
I you’re considering a Lincoln I would rethink that. My 6 yr old Navigator w/​89K miles had to have the entire ENGINE replaced! A part broke off from the inside of the engine damaging the piston resulting in a new engine being required. I went back & forth w/​Lincoln themselves since the car was a whopping 19K miles over warranty and Crest wanted $ 8200 for a new engine! Lincoln ended up contributing $ 1600 toward the new engine (Lincoln also got Crest to reduce the engine price to $ 6200), leaving me w/​an out-​of-​pocket cost of $ 4600. Very disappointing and unacceptable for a Ford truck engine to not even make it to 100K miles! I expected better than that.

Terrible and unethical customer service from service department. My wife had her 6 mo. old car here. After 15 days waiting for various repairs, and when it was returned, we had to take it back because of a loose underbody pan that was dragging on the ground after only having the car for an hour. To top it off, the service manager tried to blame her for the issue and was quite rude. Completely ridiculous. Dealer should take responsibility for their mistakes. Avoid!

This is my first Lincoln I have had. I bought it at Varsity (great dealer) but live in Sterling Heights so I took it to Crest for a problem. The service there is terrible. The service manager is rude and my car was returned with a transmission cover hanging unbolted under the vehicle dragging on the ground. They then tried to blame that and spilled coffee in my cup holder on me and neither my husband or I drink coffee. Avoid this dealer at all costs. Because of them I seriously doubt I’d ever lease a Lincoln again.

My vehicle was towed to Crest Lincoln for repair back in December 2012 and I never received my vehicle back until March of 2013. I am not blaming the dealer for the length of time it took to get my vehicle repair after a front end accident to my car. I have had State Farm Insurance for about three years know and have been more than satisfied, my last experience with the State Farm claims department was fast and efficient. This time it was delay after delay every time more damage was uncovered with the vehicle, I had to wait for the adjustor to come out which took longer than necessary (and what I mean is several days to weeks). I would Highly Recommend making sure that if you need a body shop and purchased your vehicle from the Crest dealership group that you take it to a preferred dealer of your insurance company, that way know one is standing around waiting for adjustors and approval for money to get your car fixed. Also if you have front end damage make sure there is know battery damage, my car was put back together but didn’t run. Ugh it was a long process but I am very happy to have my car back. I will say the service was very friendly which made it tolerable, and they covered the cost of my rental once my insurance ran out.

I worked with an honest, no-​nonsense, straight-​to-​the-​point representative which made the process of buying a 2011 MKX SO easy. Go ask for Roger T.
I’m happy with the vehicle I purchased. The only issue I had is that there was a software update for Microsft Sync that should have been completed on the vehicle prior to the sale that wasn’t completed, so I had to take it in after the purchase to get it updated.
Other than that, it was such an easy, stress-​free process!

I was a loyal Buff Whelan customer for years primarily due to my A plan status with Chevy (thanks dad!) but have now acquired said status at Ford as well due to my boyfriend. My American car options now virtually limitless (no, Chrysler is now DAIMLER) I began to search print and online ads for deals. I finally decided on a Milan and began randomly calling Mercury dealers. The salesman at Crest was the only one who offered to search inventory at other dealer’s lots and the payment was $ 20 cheaper than any other place. SOLD!
Then last week I went in to get my free first oil change and have the transmission looked at in the service department. I called expecting extraordinarily long wait times but was told to bring it right in AND I would get a free rental since the transmission tech was out until the next day. I arrived at 7:30 a.m. to a rental with the heat on and a clerk holding my door.
My typical service experience at dealerships involves me circling the help desk bristled up like a junk yard dog but I have to say Crest was a refreshing surprise and HIGHLY recommended even if you didn’t purchase your vehicle there.
The waiting room has 3 types of coffee, flavored creamers, a flat screen and public computer.
