A no frills strip mall location. Attentive friendly service. Colleagues invited me and eat here regularly. I ordered my normal dish. Green Curry with Chicken hotThe first course was a peppery hot and sour soup. Quite tasty. The main came out promptly. Nice variety of veggies very colorful. I spooned some rice on my plate and added the sauce which was flecked with powdered hot chiles then topped with the veggies and chicken. Nice crisp veggies and to my pleasant surprise it was spiced just right.
Good portion, tasted good. I would come back.

The food was *meh*… Pad Thai was kinda soggy? Fried rice was good.
For a neighborhood Thai place I would give this 2 stars. Just because the other ones 10 miles away!

I live at 16 & Van Dyke, so this was my go-to Thai place for 9 years 9and my favorite), when it was Bangkok Bistro (which would’ve earned 5 stars). Unfortunately, it no longer is owned by the Bistro franchise, and you can REALLY tell in the food.
The fresh rolls (when they agree to make them) don’t hold a candle to the previous owners. They give them w/a plum sauce instead of a spicey peanut sauce. Me no like, ugh. (deduct 1 star)
The sweet brown sauce in the Pad See Ew is no longer sweet, and a tad smokey.

They can still get Pad Thai right, and the Chaing Rai eggplant (which no one else in town seems to make)
And there has been a handful of times when we’ve called for take-out (because for some reason Chris still talks me into ordering, since Chaing Rai is his favorite) and it just rings, and rings, and rings. We actually went up there the first time thinking they were so busy they couldn’t/wouldn’t answer, and they were CLOSED at 8pm on a Saturday. No sign on the door saying family emergency or anything, and that wasn’t the only time that happened. Disappointing, and I had to take another star away just for that.
Upnote on the new owners, nice paint job on the interior, it really needed.
