Been coming to this place for a very long time. They’ve doubled their space which is a great thing but then parking is very limited due to the laundry mat traffic next door. I’m Eastern European and absolutely love everything that they carry, such as cevapi(skinless sausage), burek(cheese or meat pies), along with their wide variety of feta cheese, homemade yogurt and the amazing tortes!

This place unfortunately like most import stores us not up to par. Check expiration dates on the merchandise. I picked up a package of cheese and it expired a year ago, that’s just nasty. I purchased burek from them meat and a cheese one, i get home and there both meat. I don’t care for the meat i like the cheese(which in actuality isn’t even cheese it’s urda, big difference for those who know) so i call and let them know and the owner gives me a hard time. It’s my fault your employees can’t read and gave me the wrong stuff. Lucky i didn’t call the health department on them. I don’t go back and i won’t go back.

I love this place! I have been stopping in here on occasion for about 20 years. I moved out of state for about 10 years and when I visited, I always made a pit stop for European salami, Bulgarian feta and Vienna Bread for the road trip home :) We had their Cevapi for dinner tonight, it was amazing as usual. They have a great deli and bakery, their desserts are fantastic, decent produce and extremely fair prices. I’ve never had a bad experience, or food. Definitely recommend.

Had a meat burek(meat pie) for only $ 2.50. Very good. They were out of spinach ones. The cakes look awesome, are baked there, like a pastry chef makes them and the prices are good there.

This store has been greatly expanded recently and traffic flow has improved. It is still vastly crowded at peak hours but there is definitely more room at the registers and bakery now. The prices for produce are excellent, although sometimes the produce can be past it’s peak. For example, the tomatoes were not at their prime today and I choose not to purchase any. However, the cucumbers, green onions and kiwis were excellent and much cheaper then at a traditional chain grocery store. They also stock a nice variety of imported soaps and toiletries behind a new and spacious service center desk. I think this expansion is an improvement and I wish them success!

Go up to the counter, and see the display case by the cash register. In it, you will usually see Cheese and Meat Bureks. Occasionally, you will see Spinach Bureks. Imagine a spinach pie but with meat, or cheese, or spinach. That’s what they taste like. And they are CHEAP! Less than $ 5 for more than enough for one lunch. My husband sometimes gets other stuff here, like the baklava swimming in the honey sauce. That’s all we really get here, but it keeps us coming back!

You must go here and here is what you must buy: Meat: Cevapci Buy a package or two of these babies and either grill them on the grill or bake them in the oven for about 20 – 25 mins at 350. Serve with fresh bread and Ajvar. They freeze well, too. Ajvar you ask? It’s a jar of eggplant, red peppers and spices. It comes in hot and mild, try both. Think bruschetta, but so much better. Vegeta: This is the staple spice of the Eastern European pantry. It is great for chicken soup, but be adventurous and try it in other dishes. You don’t need much, a little goes a long way. Dessert: Tulumba(sp?) I don’t know how to describe this dessert, I guess the closest way would be to call it a ‘wet churro.’ They have decent baklava, too. At the cashier counter: Cheese and Meat Burek. You must try this if you have never tasted it. I joke around with my husband that the meat one is the White Castle of the Balkans ;) Oh, there’s also a white cheese in the deli part that is so good, too. Give that a try, too. If I remember the name, I will edit this post. Now what are you waiting for… get your cevapci on!
