T.G.I. Friday’s

This place is not for adults of a particular age which is why I took my son for his 21^st birthday. He enjoyed his drink, the servers were great but the food left nothing to be desired. It was pretty gross & I felt sick for about a day.

Just placed a carry out order for the Tuscan spinach dip from Brandy — girl didn’t even say goodbye, give me a total, time frame, anything-​just hung up on me. At first I thought the call dropped so I called back. She answered and I told her that it was me again and she just said oh is there something you wanted to add? I said no… I thought the call might’ve dropped and she said oh no I got the order and she then hung up on me again.
Let’s see what the manager has to say.

Tried this location again and now I rem why I never come here. Went for lunch on Memorial Day so it wasn’t crowded. When the waitress took our drink order I asked for a coke which she replied, diet ?? I was like uh no just reg. Guess she thought I needed diet. Then I said Sprite for my daughter and the server says how about an orange Fanta? I’m like no I said Sprite or 7up whichever clear soda. I thought that was just weird. Then she brings our cokes and they were infact diet so she says they aren’t and comes back with new cokes which tasted fine so yes she gave us diet. Then I ordered chicken strips for my son and a side salad for my daughter and mentioned to the server they can share the chicken so when she brought it out he had no fries and a salad in place of the fries. I didn’t want the salad in place of the fries that was just in addition. I had the strawberry fields salad which is supposed to have goat cheese and there was like 2 crumbles on the whole salad. The floors were sticky, they were out of crayons and the server was slow and I had to ask for ranch twice. I will never come back to this location. There was hardly anyone there and she still took forever

This is not my favorite Friday’s but here we are. Ordered the chicken n shrimp my wife allergic to onions and waiter comes back to inform us that the peppers and onions are a «medley» and it’s a problem for them to take them out. But every other Friday’s we go to clearly has no issues taking them out without explaining that they are part of a «medley»… I usually don’t complain on Unilocal,but I mean seriously… Isn’t that why they called cooks, cook the food man if she don’t want onions either take them out or just chop up some peppers without the onions simple Process…

The host was really nice and sweet but after she sat us that was the last we saw help. We waited 20 minutes for a server before we just left.

Pick another spot. I nearly gave just one star, but I like to differentiate the bad from the truly horrible.
We arrived shortly after 2 pm, so the restaurant was not busy. The hostess was far from welcoming, though nothing in particular was unpleasant. The floors were grossly sticky; shoes did not leave the ground easily and we could hear everyone walk. Our waiter was pleasant, albeit sluggish at best.
When our table of four ordered drinks, I ordered a tea and a water. My tea came out with the others, but we had to hail him ten minutes later so I could get my water. He responded with a clearly annoyed, «I’m getting it. Gimme a second.» That interaction was the tone for our entire meal. Two drinks on our table were refreshed during the hour and a half we were there when it would have been appropriate for six to ten refreshes tablewide. He was borderline ignoring us despite that we were his only table for at least half an hour.
Our orders consisted of salads, a sandwich, and a sizzler. Forty minutes later, the sizzler came out; it arrived with a promise of the others on the way out. When asked 10 minutes later, the waiter said the other dishes were on the way out. Another 10 minutes passed before the other dishes arrived. Also, two of the orders were wrong: a salad came without chicken and an extra side nobody would eat arrived with the entrée. (Side note: the mashed potatoes are bland at best — but they were well plated. Nobody was impressed with any of the food, meaning everything was between mediocre and decent [2−3.5 on a 5-​point scale].)
There is nothing to recomend this place. In short, go elsewhere!

This would be a zero if that rating was available. We went here last night and the guy that walked us to the table had his pants sagging down to his knees and didn’t say a word to us — no «a waitress will be with you in a moment» or even a simple hello. Then we waited 15 min for the waitress to stop by our table — she walked by and said «I’ll be back in a min to take your drink order» and then she walked around the dish station behind our booth and start complaining to one of her coworkers. She walked by again without stopping by our table, stopped by one of her other tables, and then went back to the bar area. No sense of urgency at all. We left after waiting over 15 min for a drink order when the place wasn’t even overly busy. I’ll never go back to this location.

I would rate this zero stars if I could. I have been here once and I will never ever ever go back. First off, the hostess had an attitude, it was really slow, and she took 15 minutes to seat us. Once we sat down, we waited ten minutes for our drink order… We out in an order for an appetizer and that actually made it to the table BEFORE our drinks. The food sucked, the staff was rude, and there was not a a manger to be seen anywhere. When I tried to contact someone about the experience, no one reached out to me. Will never be back, at any location.

Why didn’t I read the comments. Ordered at 6:30 via phone. 15 mins for my order… It’s 6:52 and no food

Only ¹⁄₃ of the restaurant was being used because the kitchen was backed up and they couldn’t seat us. 20 minute wait time. Will not be returning.

I should have referenced the other reviews before coming in last night. Service was very slow and our burger came with stale fries. I came for the drink specials, but even that was a disappointment. They had decent options for kids and our server was friendly. Overall, it’s not a very good deal and I won’t be back.

Horrible service. Every time me and my family of 5 come in even on a weekday there’s a 30 – 45 minute wait while there’s a whole section empty then the staff is very unprofessional and careless. Customers wait while they’re playing and eating and drinking. Cook came from the back and was dirty. Very disturbing to see his uniform filthy and he’s preparing food for customers. This place needs new training and new management.

First time in this branch, absolutely horrible service, very slow and not friendly bartender. Ordered a jack Daniels burger came with saggy fries and old bread it was literally from 10 days ago

Not bad but the seats we were in were cracked and needed to be fixed. Food was hot and good. Server was nice and she was efficient.

Was greeted by a nice smiling hostess who seated us immediately. We sat for 15 minutes with no waitress in sight. She then breezed by and said she would be right back. Ten more mixtures without even a drink and she stared at us as we got up and left. Terrible service here

Went into this location on a Thursday afternoon after work with my 2 year old son. Keep in mind, I’m also a waitress/​bartender so I understand the ins and outs of the service industry. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by a kind and smiling hostess who sat us in the back corner near the kitchen, grabbed my son a high chair, and told us our server would be right with us. I kept him busy with the crayons and kiddie menu that were provided for as long as I could, but anybody with young children understands that this only lasts for so long. 5 minutes goes by… 7… 10. and after 12 minutes of sitting with my son, who’s noisy enough as it is so it’s not like the server wouldn’t have noticed us, without being approached by any staff member, we went to the hostess stand to let them know what was going on. She stood there and stared at me… At that point, we were both starving so I said we were just going to get a carry out instead. She rudely ‘apologized’ and pointed us over to the bar. No manager came over to speak with us. We ordered a carryout with the bartender who seemed less then pleased to help us and while waiting were approached by another member of the waitstaff who tried to «explain» what had happened and why we were left to sit there. Thanks but no thanks. Because I do the same exact job as you do, I find these excuses absurd as I would never allow a guest to have such a horrid experience without some attempt at making it right. We waited 25+ minutes for a kids Mac and cheese and the sizzling chicken and shrimp (which were cold/​way over cooked/​bland/​disgusting/​etc.) All in all this was a horrible experience and we will not be back. There is absolutely no good reason for why things turned out the way they did that day. Bye bye T.G.I

The service here is terrible. Don’t bother coming here for lunch because it’ll take them one hour to get your burger. Clearly the restaurant isn’t even busy but even appetizers took 40 minutes to get out. The waiter didn’t even come by our table to check or refill drinks. Avoid this place!

I give it two stars because to food is good, but the waitstaff is horrible. The first time we went the staff was completely unprofessional. It’s a place of business, I should no have to sit and listen to the employees chat about their personal lives. On top of that the foul language they used amongst themselves was offensive to my mother in law.
The second time we went we couldn’t even get a table even though the place was half empty because they were short staffed… seems like bad management to me. From now on I’ll find another TGIFridays to eat at.

The only good thing about TGi Friday’s is Happy Hour. TGI’s is like Applebee’s: the food is average at best and the «chain restaurant theme novelty» ended years ago. You pay for food that is below the level of other non-​chain places, and I don’t know the appeal of why people still come here unless they are getting sloshed at the bar.
The waiters and waitresses are alright, but they don’t wow you with anything. If the food was better and not so pricey for its mediocrity, then I would go more often. Otherwise, I’ll stick to the other eateries that offer better dishes and originality.

Went here today for the first time, it was after a movie at MJR Marketplace.
Pros: it was Monday night and we paid about $ 8 for 4 appetizers, which was a great deal. How, you ask? Monday night is half-​off appetizer night, we got the mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and beef skewers, all of which were yummy, plus the chips and salsa. I’m a Stripes member so the chips were free, and I also had a free app coupon from my last time (from filling out the survey on the receipt).
Another pro: the hostess was very nice, and seated us promptly.
Cons: The waitress was fast but highly inattentive. Had to wait a while for a water refill. She wasn’t that friendly too … not MEAN or anything per say but just not that friendly. I went to use the bathroom and there was toilet paper and paper towels everywhere. We had a group of children with their parents near us and they were super, super loud (obviously not the restaurant’s fault, but still …) and the parents just let them sit there and scream all night.
I’d go back here again but ONLY if I was in the area … Van Dyke seems to have a lot of other chains too though, so there are more choices. I prefer the Novi or Troy location to this one by far.
