Not impressed… After NOT complaining about ice cold mashed potatoes and luke warm turkey, waitress overcharged me. I brought it to her attention and she said she doubted«they» would fix it and I should have told her before she rung me up. How would I have known she was going to overcharge me!!! We watched her and she never consulted with anyone else to get my bill adjusted. Needless to say, this was reflected in her tip and we have no intention of returning.

We had a group of 10 people today for lunch. I personally had the broiled seafood. It was perfect. My wife had the whole belly clam roll with onion rings. The service couldn’t been better. Our waitress was very good, very attentive. She had the drink refills coming. Very important to me. Restrooms and restaurant very clean. This is not the first time we been here and will not be our last. Everyone loved their food and loved the great service!

We were a party of 5 and we each ordered separate entrées(3 poultry, 1 seafood, and 1 vegetarian). The food arrived quickly, however, everyone was displeased with their meal and the consensus was that the food was bland and unimpressive. Bland in a compliment. The best part of my dining experience at Baber’s Crossing was drinking my water.

John Wallace you cheap pr! ck. $ 3 up charge for brocolli! Really? Bad enough your entress only come with one side, but seriously carrots OR potato? Ok so my order, 16 oz prime rib with mashed potato, and a cup of clam chowder. You seriously serve instant potatoes to your patrons? Oh man, that is priceless. I recommend you get your butt into this location and see whst your GM is doing because something is seriously wrong with both the quality and quantity. If i were ever to mistakenly come back here i would bring a scale because theres no way the portion was a 16 oz. I feel sorry for your waitresses as Im sure they suffer from both you and your managers decisions.

Possibly one of the worst restaurants I’ve eaten at. I got their ribs and they were hard as a rock. My boyfriend kept making fun of me because he thought I was weak and couldn’t cut through the meat, and then I told him to try. He then proceeded to take the knife like a saw and couldn’t slice through it. I’ve never encountered meat that was so dried out and solid. Took me 20 minutes just to chew through each bite. Their soup was also served cold on the inside. Save your money, go anywhere else. I’d rather risk getting e. coli at chipotle than eat here.

Subpar at best. The service was slow and we had to flag our waitress down in order to get our check and to get refills on our beverages. The coleslaw had no taste, my fish was luke warm. My other family members did not join our meal as well. We were hungry and ate part of it. I really want to like this place given it was local. It looks like we will try to little bit further for our dining experience. Last it was an expensive LUNCH! $ 62.63 !

I always ate here growing up and maybe that’s why I still like it but honestly the food is not the best. it’s pretty good but not outstanding. I’ve been super reluctant to go back though since the last time I went I had this waitress who I thought was really cool but she kept flirting with me. at first it was off putting but we started to get along and then she gave me her number. I left a large tip for her and went home happy but later when I tried to text her she said she was pulling a ruse just to get a larger tip. how gross.

We went on the recommendations of friends but had a fairly mediocre experience. Everyone’s food was just barely ok. Okay enough to eat, not enough to thrill. My roasted chicken was dried and shrivelled. Go to Boston Market instead. The desserts were very good, especially the carrot cake! The waitress seemed to be the absolutely most unhappy person we had ever met. Not a single smile. Very inefficient and forgetful. She kept having to come back to clarify our order and she still got a few things wrong. Also she kept going out of order with the tables, making some, including ours, wait extraordinarily long while people who came in after us were eating before we even ordered. We won’t be going back. Better choices abound.

We had not been to Barber’s in several years and went last night. Overall a great dinner at a reasonable price. I had the prime rib with a baked potato and it was perfect. They had a couple nice microbrews on tap including Wormtown Be Hoppy and a Pumpkin Ale. We sat downstairs so we could keep an eye on the football game. Great kids menu. We will be back!

I came here for the first time with my family that I hadn’t seen in awhile The locations was good for western mass meets eastern mass. The décor was very interesting: beautiful barn walls and very strange revolutionary art. Everyone in the part got something different and there were many hits and only one loser. I would definitely recommend the calamari and the French dip sandwich. The calamari were lightly fried in a cornmeal batter and served with Lemon and cocktail sauce. The roast beef was thinly sliced and the dip was simple but fine. They wisely used a crusty French bread to go with it. They serve half sour pickles: my favorite ! The only miss was the potato salad: too much vinegar with an odd aftertaste. The waitress readily exchanged it for some average cole slaw. I also tasted some of my party food: the meatloaf was a great texture with a tasty gravy. The ribs were excellent and the Caesar salad was serviceable. Others at the table had shepherds pie and turkey and there were no leftovers . A major plus was that they served warm Parker house rolls with the meal as well:‘a rare thing in today’s resteraunts! I am glad I didn’t go by the Unilocal reviews! This is not fine dining: it is well cooked and presented comfort foods . Only advice to the chef: careful with the salt shaker. The patron can always add salt. Thanks for the great service !

I had the fried shrimp it was OK but not the best but the kicker is that at the bottom of my fried shrimp was a foot long hair and at this time I had hair that was about less than 1 inch so it was not mine

I am giving this two star because of the lovely waitress that serve us otherwise it was the first and the last time we eat there. The food was horrible and overpriced. We order steak with baked potato, lobster sandwich and mushrooms for appetizer, the mashroom stuffing has bread crumbs with bread and tasted really bad, the potato was rotten, and the steak tasted weird too sweet. The lobster was alright. I honestly wouldn’t recommend wasting money here. Hope their business gets better.

Twin lobsters have always been a good deal. It’s a very tired looking place and could use some updating. I’ve not been that happy with the rest of the menu.

Not bad not great. I did kind of an around the world lol. I ordered Rib eye steak au pouivre a lobster roll and a half rack of pork ribs. The steak was cooked good not great. I asked for medium and got medium well.(a good steakhouse will always undercook). It was still tender and juicy so all was not lost. The sauce was interesting not bad but nothing earth shattering. It was pretty much Au jus slightly thickened with a lot of fresh peppercorn . The lobster roll was delicious. My only complaint was the price. 16 bucks for about a 4oz serving seems high to me. Maybe I am wrong and a New englander can tell me different. The ribs were better then I expected. The had a nice subtle apple smoked flavor. All in all it was good. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but if I am ever in the area again I would dine in again.

So I came here alot over the years with my grandparents, because they love it. We came again with them while I was in town and now I know why. For lunch they have reasonably priced lunches — many $ 9.99. You get rolls, your entrée and dessert for that price. I had the shepherd’s pie which I really enjoyed. It was classic comfort food. My husband had the Yankee Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and veggies. My aunt had the turkey, with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and veggies. My grandpa had the stuffed sole — which he can’t get enough of. All in all, it’s a locals place which is warm and friendly. The prices are reasonable for good comfort food.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and his mom. Waited maybe 5 – 10 min before getting seated. We were able to grab the last available booth. Waitress and host were both very nice and sweet. Food did take longer than we would of liked(or we were starving). My boyfriend and I split the prime rib and twin lobsters. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. Very juicy. The twin lobsters were fresh and served steaming hot. We also ordered mashed potatoes for our sides, which did lack flavor. An overall satisfying dining experience. Nothing too special about this place but I would probably come back. Good food for a fair price.

Not fantastically awesome or awful… just average. I thought the prices were rather high for average food… but your mileage may vary. My friends had GINORMOUS salads & I had a small fish(1 piece) & chips. I thought the clam chowder was quite tasty :-)

This was my first time here and I was a little reluctant based on some of the reviews. I was with a small group of five after a Meetup event and a couple of others insisted it would be fine. Despite by predisposition I had no issues with the food. I had the lunch cut prime rib and it was at least 12 oz and done just as ordered. The butter for my baked potato was individually wrapped patties so they must have addressed Milo’s issue. I had a salad, it was fresh and it fit on the plate! A pet peeve of mine is salad piled on a tiny plate so it spills over. The price was very reasonable my total dinner with one beer and tip was $ 30. I can’t speak to specifics but everyone else in the group was pleased. Service was good there was one minor mistake on a check but it was quickly resolved, I think with 5 people and separate checks it was to be expected. We ate at a table in the downstairs bar there was live music that was quite good, in fact the music selection generated conversation at our table. ONLY real controllable negative was the music volume was just high enough to make conversation difficult.
