Cracker Barrel is A-OK. My family and I love to eat there and are glad to have one in Loudoun County now. My only complaint about Cracker Barrel is it’s popularity and how long the wait can be for a table. It’s a chain that I’m sure most people are familiar with, so I tend not to write a lot in my reviews of places like this.

I love all CB. Especially love the fact that they opened this location so that i dont have to drive 45min if i ever have a craving. The food is still awesome and service is still always o point.

THEONLYREASONTHISISNOT A ONE is because of Esther and her outstanding customer service when we placed our order. We ordered a holiday meal from there last year and it was a nice break– we had additional last minute guests and this really helps. So being that i am 7 ½ months pregnant we decided to order it again this year. We picked it up 12⁄24 and on 12⁄25 when we went to open it to make our dinner plated it was BURNT! Not crispy not slight over done, but BURNT! Never again this was suppose to make things easier and instead i have guests running around trying to make extra sides to balance out the fact that the two main parts of the dish a ridiculously charred.

Very good food, service and neatness. Very nice staff. Great value, huge portions. Nice to see, when the rest of the chains keep ruining what wasn’t very good to begin with.

I was really not impressed with this Cracker Barrel. They couldn’t get our order or checks straight, the wait was FOREVER. It was a holiday weekend, but it was ridiculous. And the food was not worth the money. I will not be going back.

I was really excited to visit their new location in Sterling so I don’t have to go all the way to Manassas. I’ll basically make any excuse to visit their gift shop and gawk at the candy selection. Our server was incredibly nice and the food came out in average time for a busy Saturday afternoon. The food was delicious, as usual. Love that they serve Diet Dr Pepper too — can’t find that everywhere. Will definitely visit again.

I usually give everyone the benefit of the doubt but 2x we ordered out to go and both times they failed to get it right on two different days. Your to go order system gets an F they don’t review what they do and they’re in such a big hurry to get you out of there that they leave off at the stuff it’s a shame because I usually enjoy Cracker Barrel but this one has left such a bad taste hi. She is coming back the lack of management and customer Care. The Popeye reordered was old and dry and then we ordered a roast turkey dinner and that wasn’t. I don’t want to drive back and get something else I would like to have the order right the first time its not worth the hassle.

Terrible Service! At least 5 hosts saw us sitting and waiting, but no one even had the courtesy to come and ask if we have been taken care off. Will never repeat.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times and while it’s not the best in the world, it’s better than the average CB. Maybe because it’s relatively out of the way, or perhaps due to the fact it’s in an area with a bunch of other restaurants nearby, but either way, it’s a place to go when you’re in the area. I’ve had breakfast here and dinner; the staff is friendly and the food is fine.

I use this place mostly breakfast . But I think it is also good for dinner time. And you can order breakfast menu anytime . Staff is very friendly and price too. Lot of family visit here, so sometime little bit noisy but I think it is not too much. I like country fried chicken and morning sampler.

I have to say at this location service can be hit or miss. Not that the staff are rude, they just sometimes forget about you. At least on Sunday they were quite attentive, our food and drinks came out in a timely manner, their breakfasts are always a solid choice as is most anything on the menu. From the chicken to the pot roast.

***3.5*** So although my rating is 4 stars my actual rating is more like a solid 3.5 stars. Here is the reason for my rating. Cracker Barrel is a very cool place. Upon entering this Cracker Barrel you are immediately greeted by one if not multiple employees in the store section of this establishment. I find the store section very intriguing and nostalgic because of the décor and the old school candy(They don’t make candy like this use too). The décor intrigues me and when I see some of the candies they sell not only do I get nostalgic but I feel like a kid again reminding of me of all the good and bad as a child. I mean who wouldn’t mind going back in time every now and then even though it is in your heead. Now in the backside of the store they have the restaurant which also continues the similar décor. Now I don’t have anything bad to say about the food because for the most part it’s normally good however they seem to be a bit inconsistent at time. I mean at times the food taste delicious, then there are days when the food is just okay, and finally the days where I have have the food sent back and prepared again. To me this Cracker Barrel is a solid 3.5 stars. The .5 star rating increase is simply because most of the employees are pretty nice and the Cracker Barrel store is pretty cool this the reason for my generous 4 star rating.

Went on a Sunday around noon. The wait was only about 25mins which was great considering the crowd that was waiting to get in . I checked out the store which had a few unique items but overall nothing that caught my eye to purchase. Service started off really rocky with our waiter who seemed extremely detached from the fact that he was at his job not in his bed… He had an attitude like he assumed everyone should come in seat give your order and not say a word. He never said thank you, gave a smile, or even gave suggestions. Needless to say we requested the manager who apologized and got us a waitress who did a good job at taking over and correcting his mistakes. Yes mistakes of putting in 3 orders of hash browns instead of 2, not noting I asked for my turkey sausage to be cooked well done, and requesting the pancakes to be cooked well done(which came out burnt). She also gave us a discount for the inconvenience, The food was typical breakfast food from a chain. The eggs could use alot more flavor as well as the hash browns. I will try other options on my next visit.

When we got there, judging by the number of people outside and the number of people in the store, we figured the wait would be about an hour. I was pleasantly surprised to find the wait was only 30 minutes and we really only waited about 20 minutes. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. The food was good and our orders were all correct.

We had no idea this Cracker Barrel even existed… we knew about the one in Manassas… my husband’s aunt pulled into this parking lot and it is hidden behind a hotel with nothing else around. Despite it’s hidden location, it was bustling for dinner. Four of us ordered dinner. I ordered the classic chicken and dumplings and wasn’t disappointed.

It’s Cracker Barrel… What I expect is hearty food consistent across the chain. Plus a bit of shopping… This CB is great. My only real complaint is initial seating… This location had one person working a line. Plenty of tables but with only one hostess it took a bit to clear the 4 parties ahead of me. Server Jose was efficient and helpful. He was there when we needed more coffee and he dropped the check at the perfect time. Sometimes the staff drops as soon as the food arrives which I find a bit annoying. Shopping is always a great as stock is constantly changing.

Cracker barrel is a great American experience. For anyone who isn’t from here, it is an absolute must. It’s also a must if you ARE from here as well ;) They have a huge menu and serve breakfast all day and night as well. I love it. I always get breakfast. My favorite is biscuits with apple butter and grits. Nothing has disappointed me thus far. Also, the store is awesome. They have so much candy, candles, clothes, gifts, etc. Check it out!

I always have found Cracker Barrel to have decent food and also to be consistent. In other words, the food, in my experience, has been uniform no matter where in the country you try one. This newest one here in Sterling is no different. The only difference is that due to it’s newness, it doesn’t seem as drab as some of the older ones. No doubt that will change as it ages. I was surprised that Cracker Barrel decided to open a place in this location as they tend to be associated with being right off interstate exits. This Cracker Barrel has proven itself to be quite popular. We were here on a Sunday shortly after 5 p.m. and already they were doing a brisk business. Still, we were seated immediately. Our server, who was very friendly and talkative, told us that around 6 p.m. the place starts to get crazy busy so we came at the right time. I had the spicy grilled catfish which comes with 2 sides. Cracker Barrel recently added cheesy grits as a side so I ordered this along with some green beans. The catfish portion seems to have gotten smaller, which was okay with me. As for the cheesy grits — they were good if not very imaginative. They were basically grits with some mild cheddar cheese on top that was melted. Still, they were good. The catfish was properly grilled and spiced. My husband had the meatloaf. It’s obvious that the meatloaf portion did not shrink in size as he got two thick slices. His meal came with 3 sides and he chose corn, green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. While he liked his meal, he found it to be a lot of food(he had forgotten just how filling this entrée is!). I love browsing in Cracker Barrel’s store — and this time it was no different. As usual, I ended up making a small purchase which consisted of some candy LOL! So…if you want some comfort food that is predictably decent, do give this Cracker Barrel a try!

All this time… I have been a Cracker Barrel virgin. I hear stories… I hear rumors… I see pictures… but I have never been. But on this last trip, I had my chance. After spending time at a friends, we shot off to Cracker Barrel before our long drive. I was very excited because I am a chicken fried steak fan… and also I was hungry. As we passed the front entrance(which was covered with rocking chairs for sale) we were greeted by joyful people, even though it was very early in the morning. They asked where we were from and soon, the whole restaurant knew we were from Hawaii. The people that worked there, everyone we were in contact with, were very, very nice. It made us feel at home. So we ordered food… I had chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy, grits, scrambled eggs and hash brown casserole. The wife had yogurt and fruit topped with granola, with two poached eggs, a blueberry muffin, and turkey sausage. I was a little disappointed with the food. It wasn’t as good as everyone said it was going to be. My wife said her food was ok, and mine was barely ok… I ate because I was hungry… the biscuits were good… Having said that I would go back. The people that worked here were awesome. I would probably try to order different food, and just find my go to breakfast.

3.5 stars. When you walk into this place, you don’t even feel like you are in Northern VA anymore. I’m surprised they opened one up here, because I’ve noticed it’s primarily a Southern thing. I felt a little weird dining-in because it was like I was in another dimension. A lot of older folk. We were the only mixed ethnicity table. There is an old vibe to the actual place, which is apart of their appeal, I guess. You walk through the store to get to the restaurant in the back. The dining area was spacious though, which was good. The food was priced fair – you can get a dinner for around $ 8 that comes with two country sides or vegetables. I really like that they have a plethora of sides; ranging from what-the-heck-is-hashbrown-casserole to the classics like mac & cheese and green beans. I ordered«Chicken-Fried Chicken», which my friend thought was actual fried chicken(e.g.: a breast and wing), but it was a fried chicken filet topped with country gravy. When I, very politely, asked the guy if this was the correct meal, he was kind of stand-offish about it. He just flat out said, «What were you expecting, KFC?». I felt offended because I was just expecting regular fried chicken of good quality… You choose between buttermilk biscuit or cornbread, and I tried one of each. Cornbread isn’t sweetened, and a bit dry. I preferred the biscuit with the jam packets they provide. Anyway, «Southern» or comfort food is difficult to get nearby, but I’m used to better places that aren’t chains because I used to go to school in Central/Southern Richmond. Cracker Barrel is alright, but I don’t think I’ll return unless I get a desperate hankering for fried and heavy food.
