This place is the worst. I can’t even refer to it as a spa, it was like a warehouse/office building space. I purchased a coupon for Groupon and given the price thought I would give it a try. I love massages. The place is hard to find and the signage is bad. When I got there it smelled like paint and old carpet. There was no in the building at all. It was cold. There was no relaxation room, no robe, no ladies bathroom no water, no tea, no receptionist, nothing. An Asian lady opened the door and when I handed her my coupon/proof of payment she immediately asked for my «Barcode.» I had no idea what she was talking about and told her I just had my proof of payment that I received along with my receipt with Jo Jo’s massage on it. She went on to say that she needed the«Barcode» so that she could get her reimbursement.(Bad sign #1). After roughly 7 – 10 minutes it was clear she was not going to proceed with anything until she got her«Barcode,» regardless of my proof of payment, so I sifted through my emails to see if I could find it. Luckily, I was able to find the original link in my email and got her the«barcode» she was looking for. After she scanned my bar code she looked at me and said, «you know this price does not include the tip, right?»(Bad sign #2) While this was happening I scanned the room and noticed the warehouse-like look and also thought it was odd that there was NOONEELSE anywhere in the building. She then led me to a room(again, no bathroom, or locker room or relaxation room) and she told me to undress. The only place to put your clothes was a wooden table that had a heater on it!(Bad sign #3) Also, the massage table had no sheets on it! It was covered with 2 towels that felt like rugs(Bad sign #4). It was extremely uncomfortable. When she began the massage she kept leaving the room and it sounded like she was running hot water on the stones and had to leave because the sink was down the hall! I was extremely uncomfortable. Also, in the middle of the«massage» the doorbell rang. She stopped to answer the door! I suspect I had been there 20 mins at that point and could not bear to sit through the entire 70-minute service plus foot massage on top of that. When she returned to the room, I politely told her that I did not want to continue with the massage and asked her to just stop so I could get dressed. She asked me why and if I had ever had a massage before. I told her yes and how uncomfortable everything was. I got dressed handed her a few bucks(which was generous considering) and bolted out of there as fast as I could. As the saying goes, «You get what you pay for.» Stay away from this place and before ever purchasing spa services on line, always, always, always, research them first and if you can stop by to check the place out before purchasing. Good luck.
