We visited numerous granite stores and felt that NEKA made us feel more confident than the other places we visited. They addressed all of our questions and concerns and they were confident that they only provide quality workmanship. They ended up staying committed to their word and today after only 5 days we have beautiful new countertops. Thanks to NEKA and their professional staff we are proud to have everyone in our kitchen admiring our new countertops. If you need a fairly price stone fabricator with excellent customer service, work with NEKA.

Caveat emptor. I asked NEKA for a quote for a job that was about 36 square feet and provided them with dimensions that were accurate enough for an initial quote(all the other fabricators felt the dimensions were sufficient). When planning for counter-tops I’m told that you should allow for a 10% waste factor which sounded like good advice. The slab I wanted was at a wholesaler and measured out at 55 square feet. So 36SF + 10% waste rounded up comes to about 40SF(leaving about 15SF to spare). Right? Apparently in NEKA land that means your desired slab isn’t large enough and to do your job, it requires a second slab at a cost of an additional 75% over the quote to use a slab that comes out of their inventory. Oh, but if you want to have something made out of the leftover materials we would only charge your for the fabrication.(Really, you aren’t going to charge me again for the materials I already bought ?). So I did the math myself. Broke out a piece of paper, a pencil and a calculator. Check — it will fit. Did it again using a CAD program I have access to — Shocker — it still fit. I challenged them on their measuring and was treated like I was too stupid to understand the subtleties of cutting specific size pieces from a larger size piece. The example was given was«if you ask a cabinet maker how much materials he would need for a job and that he can’t tell you until the job is done»… Really? Several of my uncles are carpenters and they all can tell you pretty accurately how much materials will cost taking into consideration waste and defects and all before they strike one single nail. I’m sure it’s possible that NEKA can do a fine job fabricating and installing counter-tops as attested to by all THREE reviews they have here on Unilocal despite their posted 30 years in business. But I will never know; I don’t trust them enough to give them the opportunity.
