Sleepy’s

I’m weary of the mattress buying experience, it’s basically a bunch of awkward lying down and deciding if that’s what you’re going to sleep on for the next 10+ years. Well, Chris erased my weariness. We explained that due to our 210lb mastiff, we needed a new mattress since the middle dip was causing excruciating pain in my hips and my husband was tired of rolling into each other.
We found one we liked almost immediately. My husband was working during the big memorial day blowout, so I was resigned to paying full price… but then Chris told us that they were able to honor the deal, and it just made me so happy to hear a company actually trying to help their customers. He steered us to the right box spring, and we even got a new bed frame, which was not on our menu but with the combo deals and incentives, we just decided to do it!
Our delivery is coming soon and I will give it time to see how everything pans out, and will come back and update my rating to reflect this. But I wanted to say how awesome it was working with Chris, and we really appreciated it.

We just bought a S&F mattress and unfortunately had to use the Sleepy’s Customer Exchange Policy. Since it was a higher priced mattress, we had to contact the corporate customer service center to assist with the exchange. What we now wanted cost less and we did not want to lose the difference. We expected this exchange process would be difficult and somehow we would get ripped off at some point. To our surprise it was a seamless process due to the store manager, Chris. He was on top of our situation, never defensive, empathetic that we selected the wrong mattress, and did everything he was empowered to do to fix the problem. He followed through until we were satisfied. We will recommend because of Chris.

Came in search of a much-​needed mattress, was helped immediately by Eric. Did our little «comfort test» to see what bed firmness was for us. When we found a a mattress we wanted, but it was a little higher than we budgeted for, he made us a deal so we could walk out happy customers. In and out in an hour. Seamless delivery the next day at our convenience. Good business. Worth a visit if you are looking for a mattress, however we did our research on mattress brands and their reviews before hand so don’t walk in completely unaware of what you want.

OK, i went into this store looking for a cheap mattress for our guest bedroom. I saw an ad on tv about a good deal so I was already anticipating what I was going to spend and how much. The store only had one other person in it. I asked the sales guy where that mattress was that I wanted and he pointed me to it and it was on sale for that price. He told me to test it out. It was fine. Again, i wasnt looking for anything more than a box spring and mattress for a spare room. The sales guys were pretty friendly. The guy at the front greeted me at the front door and the sales guy that helped me was pretty honest he actually said for me to forgo the shipping and just have it shipped to the store and that it was fairly easy to throw the mattresses on my husband’s SUV.
I am giving three stars only because my purchase didnt require much involvment from the sales people. I knew what I wanted to purchase, and how much I wanted to spend. For 200 bucks I got a pretty decent mattress and box spring and no hassle! I was in and out of the store in 15 minutes! Not bad! Again, my purchase was not for a bed i was looking to use often… so this is where my review applies.

Do not buy anything here. Terrible service. They sold me the wrong bed and even though the salesperson admitted it, they would not return it. Their CS is non local outsource and very rude.

I went to Sleepy’s on a Monday afternoon when there were no other customers, but that didn’t stop the staff from being rude and obnoxious to me. This was the first mattress shop I visited during this round of mattress shopping, and it was a truly miserable experience.
The guy working there reminded me of the stereotypical used car salesman. None of the mattresses had price tags on them, and when I asked him about the price, he said «uh uh uh, it doesn’t work like that. You tell me how much you want to spend, and I’ll tell you what I can do for you.»
I reluctantly gave him a price range, and he took me to the back, where he threw a sad looking mattress on the ground and told me to sit on it. It was the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever experienced, with springs poking me.
He then threw another, equally uncomfortable mattress on the ground and told me to sit on it. When I said that was also terrible, he said it was much nicer than the first one and amazingly (ha!), it came out to exactly the price I mentioned. I told him I wanted to do some more research and asked if he’d give me the name of the brand and model I’d tried. He said no, he couldn’t do that.
I told him I’d go elsewhere, and he said fine, despite the fact that it looked like he hadn’t seen another human being in the store in several years.
By the way, I ended up going to Mattress Discounters in Herndon, and their service was really good. The salespeople were friendly, helpful, and not condescending or rude at all. They also had a much bigger showroom where you can try out beds at regular height rather than having random mattresses thrown on the ground.
